I called up the shop after seeing the wilting feeling embarrassed and a little sad because the arrangement was so perfect and was assured that it was not something I did and that should not have happened, the flowers should have lasted at least a week. She offered to send me a whole new arrangement to replace the wilted one. The new arrangement was just as beautiful and has lasted over a week now already! I called our local florist, who directed us to Ten Pennies as "the place to go, definitely". They were SO RIGHT. I called a few days before the funeral. The person on the phone was so helpful, advising me of which flowers would be 'green' for use, asking me what we wanted on the ribbon, and even offering to see what they could get in Eagles decorations. She knew the funeral home and promised they would definitely arrive before the first viewing. A few days later, when we walked into the Funeral Home Salon, there they were and they were truly stunning - these pictures don't do them justice. The Eagles Organization had also sent a gift and a letter to our family, and so these were displayed in that grouping and it looked amazing. We were delighted at how well designed the display was. My 85 year old father grinned from ear to ear - exactly what he wanted. It was a bright moment in a solemn time. Thank you, Ten Pennies, for doing wonderful work. Fun !!!) it was watered, set in layers of thick paper, wrapped in plastic and placed at the front of the store for easy pickup.
