He ended up adjusting me and within a few days, I had a sharp pain in my neck worse than anything I'd experienced in the past, and it was running up into my head. Dr. Pierce, We…read morewelcomed a beautiful baby girl into our lives almost two months ago, after years of arduous fertility treatments. FINALLY, our dreams came true. About a month after she was born we noticed things weren't as smooth sailing as we'd hoped and she'd go through hours upon hours of crying spells. We changed her formula, visited the pediatrician, added probiotics, used every infant anti-gas medicine we could find and it just kept getting worse. Our Pediatrician said "you daughter has colic and it usually ends at 3 months so just ride it out". Ride it out, she said. This beautiful, daughter of mine was so unhappy, so often, I started to feel helpless and lose my joy...which in and of itself is a scary thing to admit. If she wasn't sleeping (which wasn't very often) she was crying, if she wasn't crying she was eating. The crying was incessant, screeching, painful sobs and all you could do was keep trying to soothe, and at times, cried right along with her. My husband was a rock and helped relieve me when I thought I might go crazy, but eventually he had to go back to work. He'd find me at the end of the day, still in my PJ's, completely disheveled...and of course, a screaming baby in my arms. After hours of online research we decided to take her to Dr. Pierce. We drove two hours to the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic and humbly walked through the door, cradling our screaming child. Dr. Pierce emanated confidence and tranquility while he found the issue, and so gently adjusted her. It took all of 2 minutes, not including the generous explanation of what he was going to do, how he'd do it and how it would allow her body to heal itself. We could tell, were in good hands and so was she. She slept the whole way home, and after a bottle she fell asleep for 5 straight hours, which was a first. Our Everly woke up a different child. We were astounded, just completely speechless. Under all of the crying was a baby smiling for the first time, recognizing her parents, reaching for her toys and making the sweetest coo's I've ever heard. She was HAPPY! She slept deeper, longer and more peacefully, she had this whole personality and we were meeting her for the first time. She never stopped making milestones, I was just getting robbed of them. We can't wait for her to wake up now, because when she opens those big brown eyes, she smiles and the world is her playground. I've been hunting for a trustworthy and "the right" chiropractor for years now and I can honestly say, I found that with The Source. We drive ~45 mins to get to them but they are worth every traffic battle. Here's my long winded experience in case you are on the fence about seeing them: The first time patient visit encompasses everything you wished your previous chiropractors would do - testing your mobility and movement, resistance and strength, any aches or pains or discomfort or concerns - not just with a piece of paper where you write all of these things down but with you moving, walking, squatting, and provider guided testing. It was a process that was not rushed, very informative, and extremely appreciated. Both my husband and I felt seen and heard from our very first visit - really from the very first phone call when I inquired about care I felt that way. I've never had that much of an in-depth on-boarding patient experience before. The treatment plans, for both my husband and I, were thoughtfully laid out and explained and got us excited about the care. I am postpartum with my second born and my career is hard on my body - I have been being treated for almost 3 months now and I can adequately say I feel different in the best way. I've had a rib that's been out of position for 20 years that was repositioned into it's appropriate place (ouch during recovery but WORTH IT) and I no longer have a "drop shoulder" and I can breathe deeper. My posture is better and I am more mindful with my ergonomics while working. My pelvic floor is getting stronger and my low back pain when bending over is gone. I used to get extreme headaches when jumping up and down and now I can jump around with my kids without issue (it was explained to me why I get headaches when I jump and how they can help correct this). 10/10 thankful over here. My husband has also been in care with The Source for almost 3 months and he is leaps and bounds better than when he first walked in the door. He has dealt with chronic pain for 10+ years, mood outbursts from that pain, and restrictions. He's been to physical therapy, chronic pain doctors, pain management and rolfing massage therapists, myofascial unwinding specialists, and now chiropractic care. He still has a long way to recovery but he's in the best hands.
