My boyfriend and I just moved to the area from NJ, and [impulsively] picked up our precious puppy, Sunday. Desperate for supplies (and guidance), we walked down our block to BONeJOUR. We are SO happy we did. Judith, despite being the only employee in the store at the time (with many customers coming in and out), was the BEST. She answered all of our questions, offered recommendations and advice, provided us with all of the supplies we needed, and even gave us the name of a [Old City fave] vet to take our new pup to! Side note: we visited the vet yesterday, and he was wonderful!! The store itself is lovely (not overwhelming like regular pet stores) and carries high-quality food, accessories, toys, etc. that I feel I can trust. Still, despite all of the positive aspects of the shop, Judith was the best part. There are other pet stores nearby, but if you are looking for a super-friendly environment and knowledgeable staff, my vote is for BONeJOUR [and Judith]. :)

Cat toy that my cat isn't quite sure of yet

I saw this on the way to grab coffee and had to stop in. Just an FYI THEY SELL CAT STUFF TOO! The associate had expressed trying to make that clear. It's a cute little store. I kind of found my little cat toy that you put on a door handle's (to keep them busy while you are gone) $18.99 price tag was a little pricey but it's Old City and anything for furbaby. However, the 3 dog cookies for $7 bucks were a steal given their size! Definitely will visit again!

My boyfriend and I love bringing our two dogs here & it's definitely our favorite dog store in the city. We started coming in after a friend started working here and we're so glad that we tried it out. The owner is always super helpful and gets to know each customer to give them a personal experience. The employees always have great suggestions and are all very knowledgeable. They even order our dog food for us in 30 pound bags. The products in the store are also very high quality and worth the little bit of extra money. Our dogs love coming here & we'd probably be in everyday if we lived closer!

I bought this MLB shirt for my dog and asked if I would be able to return it if it didn't fit (I was unsure of his size since I had just adopted him) The woman (her name is Faith) said yes. I took it home and put it on my dog and saw that it was way to big on him. I went back to try to return/exchange it for the right size (The woman Faith was there again) and as rude as ever, she told me that it looked worn and that I could not return or exchange it. Mind you, it is in PERFECT brand new condition. It does not look like it's even been touched. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and she was reluctant to even give me that information and informed me "that she would just say the same thing" I will NEVER shop here again. I am now stuck with an over priced $26 shirt that is useless. I would say the worst part was how absolutely rude she was to me. If I could give this negative stars I would.

Pet notes!

Very sweet and knowledgable owner who cares about the city, her clients, and their pets. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The moment you walk in, you're greeted not just with a smile, but with genuine warmth and interest. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to understand my needs and offering thoughtful advice that comes from years of experience, not just a sales pitch. She was great about connecting with us because we have a black lab. What makes this place so special is the personal connection. The shopkeeper knows remembers preferences, and I feel would go that extra mile to recommend products that are actually right for you. It's the kind of place where you feel like a valued part of the community, not just another transaction. In a world of impersonal clicks and corporate chains, this store is a reminder of how meaningful it is to have a neighborhood business that cares. A true treasure for pet lovers!

Oops I didn't realize I already left a review prior to this but this just shows how great I think…read moreyou guys are! The only groomer I will bring my dog to in Philadelphia! I travel about 35 minutes but I know he's in good hands and comes back Looking perfect. I'm extremely against Places that cage animals after their dog grooming unless that's what the owner wants. Pet snob treats Griffin my dog so well! The store is clean and classy and the staff are as well. They make getting a hold of them very easy you can call or text and they respond promptly and they always shoot you a text message when your dogs about 30 mins from being done. We were not sure where to take our new cavapoo puppy with his long and curly fur. When we saw the pictures on the Pet Snobs' page, we knew we had to bring him there! We sent a text to set up an appointment, worked out scheduling and secured the appointment within a few minutes. It was a very easy and straightfoward process. We received a reminder text the day before to confirm the appointment. When we arrived we were seen immediately and the techs asked questions about our dog and our preferences. Since this was his first full cut, they were unsure if they would be able to fully groom him. They did not know if he would be comfortable with the clippers, so they let me know ahead of time that they could not promise a full groom, but that they would do their best. I always appreciate having someone be upfront about things like this to manage expectations! I could also tell that they genuinely care about the comfort of the pups, and don't want to force anything that is uncomfortable for them which is a huge plus in a groomer. The whole process took about two hours. When we came to pick our puppy up, he looked so handsome! We are thrilled with the results and can't wait to bring him back for his next cut. Our groomer was Sierra and she did a phenomenal job!

i came to fishtown to try something new for my pup... i scheduled an appointment over 2 weeks ago…read more my appointment was then canceled and i was forced to reschedule. i came in and drop my dog off today at his rescheduled time which was 1pm. he is a very small dog so he doesn't require much time. i was never give a time for pick up. i called them after wait 2 hours and they still never gave me a pick up time until i started pressing the employee for one. she came back on the line and told me it would be another 2 and half hours. for a small poodle/Pomeranian mix to be with a groomer for 4+ hours is insane. i was then connected to the store owner who was very rude and disrespectful. i told her what happen and she then decided to tell me that they are training another groomer which is why they are taking long as well as juggling other dog. from what i have learned about ham + bone fishtown is that they overbook dogs which takes longer for them to actually get groomed. they had one groomer downstairs when i went to talk to her with one in training. i told her this isn't the first time this has happened from other reviews i have read and after calling her out on the issue said "i'm not going to let you slander my business" and hung up the phone on me. terrible place, don't waste your money or your time here. very unprofessional behavior coming from a store owner! she also demanded that i come pick up my dog in the condition he is in currently which is not groomed! he got in my car with a wet butt and head. this resulted in wet poop getting on my car.
