Oops I didn't realize I already left a review prior to this but this just shows how great I think you guys are! The only groomer I will bring my dog to in Philadelphia! I travel about 35 minutes but I know he's in good hands and comes back Looking perfect. I'm extremely against Places that cage animals after their dog grooming unless that's what the owner wants. Pet snob treats Griffin my dog so well! The store is clean and classy and the staff are as well. They make getting a hold of them very easy you can call or text and they respond promptly and they always shoot you a text message when your dogs about 30 mins from being done. We found the Pet Snobs Boutique on Instagram and are so glad that we did! We are new puppy parents, but have a senior pittie that is very low maintenance as far as grooming. We were not sure where to take our new cavapoo puppy with his long and curly fur. When we saw the pictures on the Pet Snobs' page, we knew we had to bring him there! We sent a text to set up an appointment, worked out scheduling and secured the appointment within a few minutes. It was a very easy and straightfoward process. We received a reminder text the day before to confirm the appointment. When we arrived we were seen immediately and the techs asked questions about our dog and our preferences. Since this was his first full cut, they were unsure if they would be able to fully groom him. They did not know if he would be comfortable with the clippers, so they let me know ahead of time that they could not promise a full groom, but that they would do their best. I always appreciate having someone be upfront about things like this to manage expectations! I could also tell that they genuinely care about the comfort of the pups, and don't want to force anything that is uncomfortable for them which is a huge plus in a groomer. The whole process took about two hours. When we came to pick our puppy up, he looked so handsome! We are thrilled with the results and can't wait to bring him back for his next cut. 100% recommend as a small dog groomer! We have used it several times each time they have done a great job very attentive to my pup. The only downside is it is rather far from where I live and they have a penalty if you cannot get to your pup to pick up within 30 minutes, but they let you know the pup is available. That's hard to do so. I have to schedule it at a time that I can sit in a coffee shop for several hours and wait for it to be done. Otherwise I have to pay a penalty because Septa does not go quickly. That said it is 100% worth it! Just get your pup immediately. We hope to use them for some time! read more

Grooming experience and first time customer treatment was especially amazing. I've been bringing my dog here many times and although he still gets a little hesitant (but terribly so, luckily!) he really seems to get treated well and our grooming specialist does a great job with him. I find that all of their groomers are patient and genuinely caring for clients' dogs/cats! I had previous experiences in other places where I thought that the groomers cared, but it didn't reflect that in the end. Big plus, I think the groomers here partake in competition pet grooming and would sometimes bring back trophies. How cool is that?! read more

I made an appointment with this place, confirmed it and received a confirmation text with the date and time to bring in my pet for a bath, trim and nail cut. To do this, I moved around work, got a zip car and sedated my cat, since she does not do well at the groomer. When I arrived, they mistakingly put the wrong date in (even though we confirmed in advance) and would not do anything to help. In fact, other than blame me, there was absolutely no consideration for my time and their mistake. The only solution was to leave and rebook, or go somewhere else. I understand that mistakes are made. But the attitude and utter lack of respect for their customers is appalling. I have a high threshold for unwelcome customer service, but this was unacceptable. My entire day was based around an in-writing confirmed appointment and now I have to take off from work again and find a new place. I recommend you find some place else for your pet too. read more

I bring both my dog and cat here, Maggie & Maddie are both great. I have not had any issues with grooming here and they are very accommodating. Be sure to book in advance though! I usually text them, which is the most convenient and I love the open communication they keep while Milo or Leo is getting groomed. They also carry a wide variety of pet clothing, accessories, toys, and treats. A really great one stop shop. read more

It was out first visit at Pet Snob. The manager, Kristine came out and got right down on the floor with my dog and she was warm and welcoming and as nervous as I was, I felt really good about that kind of reception. Maggie is his groomer as he is a golden doodle and she specializes in doodles, and that meant a lot to me. She was professional yet so down to earth and she listened and she understood completely how nervous I was because it was his first time there ...and she asked questions and she was so wonderful that it's hard to put into words. When I picked him up, he looked absolutely gorgeous. He was happy and was well cared for, and not only will I go back, but I will also bring my 12 year-old Maltese there as they specialize in seniors as well! My dog is a very anxious dog when it comes to getting groomed (or going to the vet) and Stephanie is very patient with him or tells me if she's had any issues. I also like that they keep track of each grooming and the various requests you've made. Before each appointment, Stephanie verifies how I want the cut so my Benji comes out looking so handsome each time. Very friendly staff! The only issues I've ever had is them needing to cancel appointments due to call outs (that's why 4 s instead of 5). If you make an appointment, I recommend requesting Stephanie; you can tell she loves her job and animals! read more

My dog has kennel cough after a grooming appointment at Pet Snobs AGAIN. I've been bringing my dog Quincy to pet snobs since August of 2017. They've done good work and so-so work. Pretty standard for most groomers. So I keep going back. However he has come down with kennel cough twice after being groomed there three times in the last 7 months. Once? I chalked it up as a fluke ...but twice? I've thought about each case and the common denominator has been Pet snobs each time. The first time he caught it I called them to ask if they heard this from any other customers and they politely blew me off. This time I won't bother to call, I just won't go back. Dara and the clerk upfront were incredibly rude and borderline racist. My dog has been groomed there previously by my partner who dropped my dog off. My dog came back with clipped nails and sented post groom smell which was my only reason for wanting to try them again. This was not my experience with them this time. When I arrived, the lady upfront was busy chatting away with a her male friend and pretended like I was not there. It took her about 3-5 minutes to finish her conversation before acknowledging me. Then Dara showed up with my dog after she was done grooming to tell me she could not take care of her nails because "there were too long". Oh and the front desk lady also pretended not to know how tips worked and was shocked that I asked. Disgusting service! They sure take the "snob" in their name seriously. You guys need to do better. This place is great! I brought my little dog to get groom and when I got her back I was just overjoyed to see the great work that Maddie did. She was very detailed on the report and everything that she did with my pup. My dog has anxiety about being crated and they totally understood and were able to accommodate. They mentioned over the phone how they will show her all of the clippers and trimmers so she can get used to them and I thought that was amazing. She left so happy and excited! I've been taking my Yorkie here for a year or so. Took him to get groomed last week, and the woman that usually takes care of him is no longer there. The owner recommend another groomer, I drop off my dog and I get a call 3 hours later informing me that they accidentally cut his ear. I pick him up, there's a piece of his ear missing and he's not groomed. Which tells me they waited 3 hours to call me! Handled badly, they acted like it was not a big deal! I was wary. I did not want to bring my pup to a snobby place where he will be transformed into a nose-stuck-in-the-air canine. Their trendy website (if a website can be trendy) and name kinda gave me prejudgments about this place. I had a Groupon, so I had to try it out before it expired. No problems getting appointments, and not too hard to get a closer date. It took about 3 hours to groom my pup, and he came out looking fabulous and smelling even better. He looks younger (yay for puppy looks!) and he didn't seem too traumatized by the whole thing, which meant they took good care of him. They have a small store with toys, shampoos, sweatshirts, and premium dog food. Again, I thought the prices would be a little higher here, but the few items I looked at: clothes and conditioner were a WHOLE FEW DOLLARS CHEAPER than what I had gotten at local store and local chain! The pain when you realize all the things you bought could have been purchased for less... I love this place because the staff is nice, price is right, and it is easy to make appointments. This place is great. Scott the groomer is so friendly as soon as I walked in he sat on the floor and started his new friendship with my dog. Scott has a soft and gentle side that my dog picked up on instantly. My dog did not cry after me and felt safe in Scott's presence. My dog was extremely matted and I asked Scott if he would be able to cut the paws in the teddy bear style. Sure enuff 3 hours later I returned and gizzmo's had the teddy bear paws. I'm so happy I chose pet snobs. Scot did a great job and most imported my dog came home feeling great. If you go to a bad groomer believe me your dog will come home feeling so nervous,cranky,and irritable. My dog and I are very pleased with the results of finding a good groomer. It is so difficult to find someone who sincerely tries to please you and do the cut you want. No dog cut is perfect but this is the closest I'll ever get! I've taken my dogs here to be groomed several times; the staff are friendly and caring, and the grooming itself has been fine. However, my most recent experience has left me looking for a new place. I had my dog groomed and received a text at 3:40 saying he was done. I was working till 5 and asked if I could pick him up after work. This is the text I received: "We close at 5pm & allot an hour grace period for pick up. After that it's $5 every 15 minutes." I interpreted that to mean that after 5:00 there was a one-hour grace period; following that it was $5 for every 15 minutes late. When I picked up my dog it was 5:17. They charged me $17 dollars in late fees. I was a bit surprised and reminded the staff person that there was an hour grace period. She stated that it was an hour after the time they alert you that your pet is done. That clearly is not stated in the text she had sent. Also, my receipt is time stamped, and says that they charged $1 for every minute I was late: After Hours Late Pick Up Fee ($1.00/min) × 17 min $17.00 I fully understand a late fee, but I should have been charged no more than $6 or $7. I got there at 5:17, and if they charge $5 for every 15 minutes late as the text stated, that is what I should have paid. Definitely not going back. read more

My first (and only) experience with Pet Snobs Boutique did not go as well as I had hoped. I recently moved to Philadelphia and dutifully researched groomers before brining my dog in. A lot of my fellow yelpers gave this place 5 stars so I figured it was worth a shot. Maybe I caught them on a "bad" day, but the staff seemed inexperienced with dogs. Admittedly, my dog gets anxious and sometimes snippy when she's away from me but, I explained this before dropping her off. The staff seemed disinterested in talking to me about these issues and even less willing (or able) to work with any dog that might present these problems. As someone who has worked in pet care, I assure you my pup's behavior is not out of the ordinary and I have not had any problems with past groomers. When I picked up my pup the woman rudely told me they've "had worse." This did not leave a good impression on me as a new customer. Overall, the service was pretty quick but I was not very satisfied with the cut. Upon further inspection of my (long haired) dog I realized that several areas seemed to have been "missed." Basically, unless your dog is a model citizen both with and without you, I would recommend going somewhere with a friendlier, more experienced staff. I don't have any experience with the store but I seemed well stocked and clean. read more

I get pet food/supplies here and recently took my pup in for some grooming. Their groomer did a great job and my dog came out happy and smelling great. I would have given them 5 stars but took off 2 stars for the quality of treats. I purchased a peanut butter cannoli treat for my dog and was told the treats would be good for a few weeks. (they are individually sold without packaging) I attempted to give my small dog the treat and she couldn't break it. She's had all sorts of treats and never had an issue eating a treat. So I attempted to break it for her and it was impossible. The only thing that broke it was a hammer. Thats right- A HAMMER. I've never had a treat be so hard. I called to tell them since the treats were either very old or overcooked. I was told the treats were "sturdy." I'm thinking the treats are just super old and they don't mind. read more

i have brought three different cats to pet snobs because expecting to be asked never to return because two of the cats are very high anxiety and one is a bit bitchy. the girls here always said the cats were well behaved and not hard to handle which makes me happy to hear ! the services are a little pricy in my mind but they do such good work i keep returning. read more

Maggie at Pet Snobs is absolutely amazing. I have been bringing my bernedoodle puppy, Larry, to Pet Snobs since I got him (about 10 months), and have never been disappointed. After the most recent visit though, I was compelled to write a review because Maggie really did an incredible job under difficult circumstances. Larry was very matted from wearing a recovery suit for about two weeks after being neutered, with many mats close to his skin, and I was worried that they were going to have to shave him. The staff told me it was a possibility but would try to avoid it, and would call me to get consent before doing anything. The staff and Maggie were in touch with me several times, and after working for a very long time, were able to get out the mats without having to do a full shave (only shaving a few small, not noticeable spots). Sorry, I normally don't write negative reviews. It's small business Saturday, so I decided to support a local, much to my disappointment. The moment I walked in, there was already someone in the store complaining, which should have been my warning to get out. The owner and employee was so absorbed with debating with this patron that they failed to even engage with me. I waited for a response for more than 15 min. Not a hi or I'll be right with you. But that wasn't the biggest turn off. It was the owner trying to get out of being responsible for the store's mistake with this original customer. I finally walked out without them saying a word. Big mistake Pet Snobs. I have a large dog and an older cat that I treat with nothing but the best. BTW I saw you (owner) at the coffee shop prior to me coming in your shop. He smells good for a long time after, his hair is brush throughly, his toes are trimmed perfect! The grooming time is also very fast, especially for our large dog.
