I have many memories of coming to AMC (known back then as Rave) in Jefferson Point after school and seeing movies with friends in what I thought was a fancy and new theater. Well, after coming back here for a movie in 2026, I don't think this theater has been updated since 2006 and it honestly made me a little sad. The prices for tickets and popcorn are high for how shabby the place is. Half of the complex is dark and eerie, the seats are tattered, the audio system is a bit crap, and there was only half a dozen others there on a late Friday afternoon. Jefferson Point is a relatively upscale outdoor mall in Fort Wayne and this poor little theater deserves some love and an update. Now I am sure my 3 stars are inflated due to nostalgia but the staff are friendly and there are some interesting options available at the concession stand! I saw some food on the menu I haven't seen at other theaters. C'mon AMC - put some money into this location please!

The facility is poorly maintained--soda machines and bathrooms are frequently out of order, and the screens have visible lines or damage that ruin the viewing experience. They also charge a 5% fee for credit card purchases, which is frustrating and frankly just the cost of doing business in 2025. One of the most frustrating experiences was when I went to see Wicked on opening day. They sold me a ticket after warning me there "might" be seats left--but there were none. I had already purchased popcorn, and when I went to request a refund for both, they gave me a hard time about the popcorn--even though I had only been there for five minutes and hadn't touched it. I've supported this theater out of convenience, but I'm done. I'd rather make the drive to Fort Wayne than spend another dollar here.

The area around the locks on the stall doors are visibility dirty. The sinks are filthy. They have not been cleaned in AGES. The bathroom floors are dirty, the toilets are dirty, the carpet is dirty. They are tidy as far as trash goes. There's nothing lying around, but it needs a very good wipe down. This was my first time here and I was very surprised because I had heard good things. I will say that the staff was very friendly and helpful. But they need a cleaning crew.

They moved people through the line very quickly and efficiently. We got good seats in the second or third row from the screen and were able to see perfectly. The sound came through SO good. The only issue I have is that I think it was either staff or the owner but he like knocked on my window which I thought was kind of rude and also as a girl I'm like what the heck dude back off? The concessions were actually really good! And the prices are soooo flexible for a big group of people. I was very impressed and happy with the whole turn out.

And that really is the main problem with going here in the summer is that you can't start the movies before 9 or 10pm, so by the time you get to the end of the second movie it is past 1am. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I guess that is what caffeine and candy are for though. It is an enjoyable experience...Throwing the football around waiting for the sky to darken, seeing the Big Dipper hang above the screen, hearing the crickets chirping over the movie, getting bit by a mosquito, and hanging out outside watching a flic while the sky darkens into a dark black and the stars start to pop. Typically we bring some lawn chairs, a small table, many blankets and a small radio that we plug into the car. We park the car facing away from the screen, pop the lift gate of the van, reverse the last row of seats and then we have seating for 6 easy, good audio, and easy access to items in the car. The seating options give you the ability to walk around, change seats, etc., because sitting in your car for several hours watching a movie may not be as pleasant as you think.

If independent movies are you're thing, you've got to check it out. And if you already know about Cinema Center, but you haven't been lately, you've been missing out. They've hosted awesome movie events like Braineaters' Ball, a Hitchcock-themed Oscar Party, a Spinal Tap Party, a poetry reading for On the Road, a hot dog night with Bravas, and the Midnight Movie series. Want to watch a movie outside and eat a burger? They've got that, too. And, I'm pretty sure this is just the beginning of bigger and better things to come. Oh, and become a member! Members get reduced ticket prices and FREE POPCORN! How great is that?

Only two theaters and it was pretty packed since it was Saturday night but the line wasn't too long. Only $5 each adult and $3 for kids. Also the concessions were probably about half the price of normal chain theaters.
