My husband and I have been taking our cars to Boni Tire and Auto Service for many years. I have always had positive experiences with staff and service until a recent visit. After questioning a thirty dollar charge, I was treated with unprofessionalism, hostility, and anger. It was so awkward, and even after I apologized for offending, I was called a few seconds after pulling out of the lot and asked to "take [my] business elsewhere." SCAM SHOP. This place will RIP YOU OFF. My mom went here to get her car fixed. When she came to pick up her car the $2,400 kayak rack she had on the roof was ripped down. Luckily it was still attached when it was picked up because of the security locking system she had on it. Either one of their own guys tried to steal it and sell it for parts, or someone broke into their shop to try to steal it. They took no responsibility and kicked her out. She had to find a specialized dealer to get it fixed herself. These guys are terrible people that will rip you off IF THEY THINK THEY CAN. Predators. STAY AWAY!! read more

I came in for a diagnostic check after my car started making a rattling noise and received a mis-diagnosis that came with a very expensive quote. I got two more opinions which were both the same (alternator issue) vs. what Boni told me which was my timing chain needed to me replaced (at 110K miles and at least $2300). I did not call back to ask them what it would cost to replace my alternator since I was os upset by the initial diagnosis and quote. Others here seemed like long time loyal customers but I did not have a good experience and would not come back. Pros: -Clean waiting area with free coffee, tea, magazines and ample seating room -They were ready for me right at 8 AM when I had made my appointment -Polite staff - other customers there while I was were happy and satisfied with service. One older woman needed help putting air in her tires and they quickly helped her free of charge, while one other man had an oil leak they quickly diagnosed as a gasket with tear and also resolved his issue. -Location if you live in Flemington Cons: - I did not receive the right diagnosis and would have spent a tremendous amount of money here which would not have solved the problem - I was given a quote and told it would likely cost more than the initial growth, without a maximum range or reason why read more

I'm not one to do this ever but after 6 years of oil changes on 3 differnt cars, today I was told to not return. Apparently they were this offended after I brought my car somewhere else for tires and brakes becuase it was soo much cheaper. I was then told I was costing them money by only getting oil changes and that they have been accommodating me durring regular business hours.. I would always take a late lunch at 1 to get my oil changed but apparently that's when everyone takes lunch and they are losing money becuase of that? and here I am taking a late lunch for them when I could go elsewhere... seems like they were just butt hurt to me. I will take their advise and from now on be getting my oil changed at FX Automotive on rt. 2! I've never been treated like this before and will now share this story rather than suggest their business. read more

Went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. After I got the call my car was ready I came back and was told they replaced my cabin air filter. I told them flat out I did not approve that. Owner said he tried calling several times. Showed him phone that only one call was received. Extremely shady and definitely won't be going back. I have used Boni now for years for most of my families car needs. I had them take a look at my vehicle for a check engine light. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Two days later the light came on so i made an appointment and brought the car back. The result was that i was going to have to bring the car to the dealer to have the problem fixed. At that point they offered to give me a partial refund, which i was impressed with. After a couple days i checked with my bank to see if the credit was pending, and they said no. I then called Boni and spoke with Dan to ask him for a receipt for the refund so i could discuss with my bank and try to get things straightened out. He then told me that i was out of line and that he would not provide a receipt. He then called me more names and hung up on me. I waited a few minutes to let things cool down and decided to try and call back to smooth things over before writing a bad review(which i have never done before). He then decided to degrade me, curse at me, and tell me that my kind of people are the scurge of the world. I have used these guys for years with no problems but never again. Be aware of the horrible customer service provided by the owner. Very rude!!! read more

I have been going to Boni off and on for a few years now and have always enjoyed their hospitality and friendly environment. WHAT A SHOCK it was when the kicked me out of the place for "lying to him" (didn't happen, there was a misunderstanding) and embarrassed me in front of other customers. I got upset and told him that he has always had good service, and I felt his disrespect was...well disgusting. He called me crazy and started laughing at me. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I went somewhere else, and they told me whoever had been changing my oil had not been changing my filter. They could tell because it was the original filter that came with the car...hmmmmm.. guess there has been a few places that won't do the job correctly...but at least they were nice to me??? read more

We have switched to Boni Auto last year for service on our family cars and have had great service and honest estimates. They fix what is needed quickly and let you know if there are any other items to consider in the future with out unnecessary work or costs. Our family also has a driver using a fleet car and we have recently asked the fleet maintenance company to sign Boni Tire up as a preferred and authorized vendor to handle all of the fleet car's needs and that was simple and again great service. I took my car in for an oil change, when I got the call that my car was ready I was told I needed brakes. I told him I knew I needed brakes and I have a guy that I've known for a long time that will do them for me. When I went in to pay for the oil change I immediately got attitude from the service manager/owner. He said that oil changes are for good customers and he can't make any money if I don't let him do other work. When I handed him his coupon he said does 'Billy Bob' take coupons? His rude manner and blatant disrespect for a 'customer' will ensure that they will never get any future business from my family. I've taken many cars, many times, for service at Boni Auto Service. I've been a customer since they opened at the current location many years ago. I've had nothing but great service, with a friendly staff, and at fair prices. I'm a pretty knowledgeable consumer and, unlike when I've taken my cars to the dealers, Boni has never mislead or upsold me on unneeded services. In addition, service is prompt and, when I've called on short notice, they find a way to work me in. When my daughter visits from out of town, I take her car to Dan for the assurance of quality work. I wouldnt give more then that after the horrible treatment my husband received from the owner. He was looking for new tires for his car. He saw they offered a certain brand. Asked for his size if they had in stock. Well the big mouthed owner gentleman says why would you buy those crap tires . well why are you selling them.with that atitude my husband turned around and left. By the way there were no other cars being worked on either. What does that tell you. His wife praises them whoe heartedly. Must be brainwashed. My husband wound up going to Good year down the road on rt 202. Very nice guys. Had tires in stock. No rude comments...in turn i went a few days later for all new tires for my car.
