It was time to get a good car for my daughter to use for college and the KIA Forte seemed to fit the bill perfectly for her needs. We stopped by Boniface Hiers KIA to take a look at a Forte and was immediately greeted by Jasper who seemed to instantly appear from nowhere and thought, Jeez not this again. I couldn't have been more wrong. We looked at a few Fortes with which I was impressed with the quality and value of the car. There was no typical car dealer pressures applied and Jasper seemed genuinely interested in helping us find the right vehicle for our needs. My daughter and I returned after work and she selected out a Fire Orange Forte that was in their inventory. Jasper was unavailable for the test drive so Chase assisted us the rest of the way throught the test drive and sales transaction. The price negotiation was very smooth and we agreed on a fair price and proceeded to close the deal. There was never a feeeling of sales pressure, upselling, or steering with Jasper or Chase or the Sales Manager "Junior Varsity". I was very pleasantly surprised, given the state of the car market, that I got a very fair deal on a highly rated and desirable vehicle. I will never go back to this Kia for service again. They lie about what they have done. I took my granddaughters Kia Sportage for their pre paid services. (Oil change and rotating the tires). After2.5hrs, they gave me a book of what needed to be done! They never said anything to me. The list came to $4867.39 that should be done. How ever the paperwork said they did an oil change with filter. And they rotated the tires. After a few days I realized the tires had not been rotated. Even though the paperwork said it had been done. I called them on it. And the service manager said the tires needed to be replaced so that's why they didn't rotate the tires. I said but the paperwork said you did it. They wanted $1437.68 for new tires. I've been working on cars for years. The tires were fine. For every thing they wanted to do I could have done for $1200. I when into service for them to put the light on the driver side door that was missing when i purchased the car. they call me and told me to bring it in. I brought in at 8am I was the 3rd car in line. at 830 they came to me in the waiting room. Told me my car was in an accident in the shop. The technician got out of the car still in drive. He saw the car moving and then jumped back in to put in park. the whole drivers side door is messed up. they told me the car was at 5 star, then later that day they told me imperial. did not give me a time frame till i took the day off from work. As a single mother and only have this car for ten days is messed up on the dealer. I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience with Boniface-Hiers Kia's service department needs to be shared. My 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid began having issues before I purchased fuel (check engine light, high revving in park, hybrid system warning). When I brought it in for service, the dealership immediately blamed "bad fuel." They drained my tank, performed only a visual inspection of the fuel, and charged me for a repair that ultimately did not fix anything. When I asked what testing was performed, the service staff confirmed that no actual fuel analysis was done. After this repair, the same symptoms returned almost immediately. Both Murphy USA and the Florida Department of Agriculture conducted proper testing of the fuel pumps and confirmed that the fuel was not contaminated at all. On my second visit, actual diagnostic codes were finally found (misfires on all four cylinders), and the spark plugs were replaced under warranty, which resolved the problem. However, when I asked to see the spark plugs they claimed were "damaged," I was told they had already been thrown away--meaning I was never shown the parts they said confirmed their diagnosis. What has been most disappointing is how the issue was handled by management. The General Manager responded with extremely short, dismissive emails that ignored the documentation I provided. Despite the clear misdiagnosis and the fact that the real issue was a warranty-covered mechanical problem, he simply stated the matter was "resolved" and refused to discuss it further. I purchased my vehicle from this dealership and expected honesty and support. Instead, I experienced an incorrect diagnosis, lack of transparency, and dismissive management unwilling to acknowledge a mistake. Went to buy a new car, test drove it, and went inside to see what the numbers look like. They tried to start with charging me almost $10,000 over MSRP. I was ready to leave. They wanted another chance and the next offer brought the price down but I noticed the fees went up. They don't know I noticed that. I asked for my keys and left. We have purchased 3 vehicles in our family over the last 10 years from Boniface Kia, and the experience has been great! Remember, knowledge is power when working with car Salesman, however, just as you can't afford getting ripped off, neither can they, so be reasonable when negotiating. I have yet to encounter a pushy salesman that made me want to leave this dealership when purchasing a vehicle here, like I have at so many other dealerships. Tristan is a great young salesman that will work with you the best he can, just watch out for the finance manager after your deal is made, as he will try to upsell you while working out your loan (this should be expected at any dealership). "Goose" in the service department is awesome and understanding, and will take good care of you. "Tiger" is also great in the service department. After looking to see if I wanted to keep the vehicle, I researched the value of the Jeep, and it was listed around $19,000.00. After looking at the contract , there were numerous service agreements that had been purchased totaling over $7,800.00. Amount owed on the vehicle is $30,000. I have been trying to cancel these extra service agreements with absolutely no response from the company. I also had the company that contracts these agreements reach out to the dealership so I can cancel these to lower the amount owed so I can refinance. Another thing, if you drive a distance from the dealership, like I do, 2 hours, beware that you will not be able to service your vehicle anywhere else but there. I booked an oil change on the Kia Melbourne website recently. In order to make the appointment I had to select the model and year of my vehicle. The price was given as $89. When I got the paperwork to sign at the dealership, I was told the price was $109, when I told the guy at the desk that was $20 more than the ad, he brushed me off, saying $109 was the price. I needed it done so i signed it. In the waiting room, I found the ad and brought it to him. He said he would honor that price, but as I walked away he said "yours holds 6.1 quarts, so I have to charge you for one quart." The website had my make and model before it showed me the price, so it should know how much it holds, and the price should be as advertised. I decided to not get angry, and said "OK". I didn't look closely at the bill when I paid it, but later saw they had charged me for 2 extra quarts, 7 total at $7.50 each. Now, if they dispense oil from a bulk container, like most, there is no justification for that. If they are pouring from quarts,shade tree style, they could have at least given me the unused 90% of the final quart. Better yet, not put in that last 3 ounces and not charge me and extra $7.50 for it. I cannot recommend this business due to shady practices. read more

Sales process was impressive. Tristan was a polite young man. If he didn't know the answer to my question he said "I DON'T KNOW but I will get that for you. Very refreshing. That's all that was good. I had an oil change at my mechanic. The tested my battery and it showed 556 CCA. The battery was 800. I made an appointment at Kia for a replacement. I get there and this miserable porter took my keys. A gent who did not like his job. Not a person I want my customers to see first at my service experience. I mention this to the next experience Miguel, my service writer. He says, he is just a porter. No he is the first impression of your service department. Now Miguel. He begins the process as his computer is down and can't find out when I bought my car. I have a 21 Telluride. I purchased it 3 months ago. I said instead of finding out when I bought my car from a computer that Is not working, let's test the battery. And go into the sales office to find me. Miguel was another simply unpleasant fella, who doesn't like his job. He takes my keys and I go to the waiting room. 60 minutes goes by and the car was pulled into the shop but no one is touching it. Miguel tells me they are testing the battery. This takes 3 minutes. He says that the battery if under warranty, would be prorated from the time it was installed. Now the car is 27 months old. That battery is original. I don't care what we do. Put a battery in and let me get on with my day. Another 60 minutes goes by. Mr. Personality calls me to the desk. According to the mechanic the battery is showing 607 CCA. They will not replace the battery unless it is at least 25%. When I brought it in it was 34% damaged. Miguel indicates it's not showing that. I said did you place a charger on the battery to get it above 600? I said wrap it up. Two hours and more excuses. I am done. I immediately went to Sam's club and purchased a battery. After that I informed the GM. Don Montgomery about the joke of a visit. He indicated he would have my car picked up and have a battery put in. I thanked him and informed him I needed a battery and put one in myself. I asked him what the battery replacement policy was for his dealership. He did not know. Find another place to go to. I will never by a vehicle there. The owner is always on TV about his dealerships. You should probably do some work in house. There are a bunch of unhappy people. A customer doesn't get the warm fuzzy comfort when coming in there. They lost a customer over a $150 battery. Impressive. read more

2012 Volkswagen Eos Luxury trim Boniface-Hiers Kia of Melbourne, Florida We purchased the vehicle on Jan 13, 2024. The vehicle appeared to be in very good condition. The engine bay was exceptionally clean. The dealer explained that the car was titled in California and shipped to Melbourne, FL (it was from Pennsylvania and subsequently, South Carolina). The dealer noted that the vehicle had been serviced by local VW dealer on Jan 3,2024. The dealer reassured us that all necessary maintenance was already performed. The dealer was adamant that a noticeable oil smell was the product of a recent oil change; he even highlighted a Jan 9, 2024 Full Synthetic Oil change and Safety Inspection. The vehicle was sold as is, but the sales manager stated that they always stand behind their vehicles, especially if something obvious quickly becomes apparent. The Boniface-Hiers dealerships marketing stresses the value of the customer and quality checks on vehicles. After one tank of gas and approximately two weeks: an oil smell was very obvious. A cursory inspection of the engine bay revealed copious amounts of oil on the HPFP, PCV system, upper timing chain cover and lower timing chain cover. The plastic engine cover under the hood was removed and we found oil leaking and puddling from every inch of the upper engine seal, as well as the vacuum pump. We scheduled a visit with a reputable and licensed VW focused technician. An extensive evaluation showed oil leaks must have been of long duration and any technician could not have ignored the obvious problems. We authorized the required repairs with the repair shop on February 20, 2024. We were without the vehicle for 10 days. We reached out to Boniface Hiers Kia's Used Car Sales Manager February 21, 2024. He insisted that it was impossible that these were preexisting conditions prior to the sale. He reiterated that the residual oil on the engine was from said oil change and insinuated that the massive leaks and puddling were caused by a grandmother driving 35 mph one mile to church daily on the A1A. He was not very interested in pursuing the truth but assured us the owner would be contacting us. We have received no communication from the owner or the manager. We never asked for any money. We don't want this to happen to anyone else. We contacted the VW service team at the local dealership. Their service team informed us that on January 5, 2023, an upper engine visible oil leak and transmission fluid change were items in need of immediate repair. Their service team noted that an additional service on January 4, 2024 dealt with spark plugs and the ignition coils. Their service sheet recommended an immediate repair of the water pump, belt, coolant tank, carbon buildup on the intake valves and a severe upper engine cover leak. Buyer Beware. Boniface lies in their marketing of used vehicles. We have the documentation to prove it. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! When my sister, who recently faced very difficult personal circumstances (she fled a domestic violence situation and he re-posessed the family car from her and the 2 kids ages 4 & 2 in the middle of the night), needed a dependable car, we turned Boniface Heirs Kia for help. We told them how she needed a reliable vehicle to get to work and the kids to school that coming Monday. We trusted the salesperson, Brian, and he assured us that the Kia Soul had undergone a thorough 150-point inspection and was a reliable choice. He confidently stated that any vehicle failing their stringent inspection would be auctioned off and not put out on the lot for sale, ensuring us of its quality and dependability. We made the mistake of trusting the sales person, the sales manager and their service techs. We had a limited budget, but came up in budget and decided to finance a portion because Brian said it would be a more reliable vehicle. Unfortunately, our trust was misplaced. Within LESS THAN 30 days, the vehicle began exhibiting serious mechanical issues, including major oil leaks, oil consumption, and I believe a bad torque converter, indicating both engine and transmission problems. Despite our sisters repeated attempts to address these concerns with the dealership, her requests for a resolution were ultimately denied. At one point a person from their own dealership suggested a void in the sale because the vehicle should never had been sold. Unfortunately, they left the decision up to the man who sold her the vehicle, Brian, and she was told that he declined to void the sale. Additionally, despite a "professional" detailing, we were dismayed to discover an infestation of roaches within the vehicle, further questioning the thoroughness of the inspection process. The roaches were apparent from the first day she brought vehicle home and yet have been unable to rid the vehicle completely. Imagine driving down the road and a roach crawling on you or your kids!!!! It's been a total nightmare of an experience and I will never trust Boniface Heirs with another vehicle purchase. They lost mine, my husband, and my sister's business over this vehicle, which is unfortunate because I have my heart set on buying a brand new kia telluride. But I will head to Orlando to find a more reputable and trustworthy dealership. This experience has been disheartening, especially considering the circumstances that led us to seek a reliable vehicle from this dealership. The assurance of quality and reliability we were given at the time of purchase has not been reflected in our experience, leaving us to question the integrity of their inspection, their managers, their sales people and their practices. This kind of transaction doesn't fall on any one person, but is a systematic approach to cleaning up and patching up a vehicle and selling it then wiping their hands of it. 164 point inspection that guarantees nothing and one month after purchase this dealership has no honor in their customer service. I'm very disappointed that after assuring me that their 164 point inspection passed, I'm having a very costly issue with the vehicle and a big "F off" from their sales team. I make very little money and knew I would need to take a loan out in order to afford a reliable vehicle for myself and my two small children. After walking on the lot and making a very reasonable offer on a car that had just been out on the lot, the sales team negotiated me up on the price of this 2019 Kia Soul. It had not been through their 164 point inspection, but they guaranteed that anything that needed to be fixed would be before I picked the car up the next day. ***In fact they would not sell the vehicle until they performed the inspection.*** One month later, the vehicle check engine light came on and I was losing a ton of oil. I had a mechanic look at it and he said it had poor oil consumption. I took it back to Boniface Hiers and brought it to their attention that the engine was consuming oil like crazy, and only one month into my purchase I needed them to look into it. They initiated a consumption test, but one week later my check engine light came on again. The salesman Brian who sold the vehicle to me was unwilling to do anything to accommodate my situation and counted it my loss. I am a 68-year-old retired first responder living in Melbourne. In 2022 I purchased a 2023 Kia Forte in Orlando, as that was the only dealership that had the car I wanted. I live 15 minutes away from Boniface Kia, but twice, they refused to service my car, which is under full warrantee, because I did not buy my car at their dealership. It shouldn't matter. They won't even do an oil change. I contacted Jackson Kia in Cocoa and explained the situation. They were fantastic, especially with a senior citizen. They told me to bring my Kia to their dealership, and they have been servicing my car to date. Bonface has forced me to drive almost 30 minutes one-way just to get an oil change! I strongly recommend Jackson Kia--they have been so kind and helpful, and shame on Boniface for their horrible treatment of an elderly retired first responder. I had a wonderful experience in the Service Department all thanks to Victor (EXT. 1114). He was incredibly nice, very communicative, patient, understanding and helpful. Any time I need to go to the dealership I will seek Victor out. He was the only person who saw me and did anything. I was told to go outside and fill out paperwork (even though it was about 2 hours before they closed) by someone sitting at a desk who didn't look like they were busy and once outside was ignored by the one person that walked by. Victor is the person to talk to, he will put you at ease and keep you in the loop. Great customer service, great worker, someone who puts pride in their work. She should either take a class in how to treat customers with courtesy and respect, or simply move on and work somewhere far away from humans because I could NEVER imagine purposely taking a job in customer service only to treat customers like they are the worst part of the day. After 10 minutes my car still didn't move & I walked in & said give me my keys & give me an appointment where I can be the first car in the morning. I got an appointment for 2 weeks later. I was in fact the first car there. They still put my car in the lot. My car finally went in at 8 am. After addressing the two recalls, they had to address my software. They said that could take a 1/2 day, I sat & waited. By 1:30 pm it still wasn't complete. They offered me a ride but only 15 miles-they would not drive me to my town(5mi).. they dropped me off the exit of 95 & I walked. I get that they don't give loaners for a recall but my car is 1 year old & this software problem according to them has been happening with 2023 Kia sorento so give me a loaner! It's disgusting how they treat a customer who only a year ago spent all this money on one of their vehicles. Hope karma catches up with them & their wives, mothers & daughters are treated the same. I will never be back there for service. PS service manager has never returned a call. Guess it comes from the top! Really AJHeirs? Really? You are going to correct me on my spelling of the owner but not comment on your horrible customer service??? Wow!! Hope your family gets treated like this one day! Update: After 1 year of owning a car sold buy this dealership I still stand by my 1 star review. For those just tuning in here I purchased a brand new Kia K5 from this place 1 year ago. (The first review is below). I have had nothing but problems. 6 Months in the horn died. Not the dealerships fault but Kia's. However, getting anyone from this dealership to help was a nightmare. Once I finally got my car in for its 1 years service maintenance they finally acknowledge the horn issue and replaced it under warranty. See that is the catch of their "Life time warranty" you have to always have your car serviced at their dealership or you void the warranty so that is why I am still dealing with the sad excuse of a company. After my 1 year maintenance I picked my car up and took it out of town on a trip. about 1 hour down the road the car started making a horrible noise. I pull over to find that the plastic under the car that covers the oil pan was hanging down and dragging the road. upon further inspection it was missing 1 screw and the other was maybe hand tight. See they changed my oil but neglected to button everything back up. Now with destroyed plastic hanging under my car from their neglect I calmly call the service department to get nothing but a voice mail. I calmy left a voicemail explaining what happened and requested someone to return my call. It has now been a week and 5 phone calls with 5 voicemails later and no one has yet to return my call. Once again I encourage everyone to avoid this KIA dealer and instead use the one in Coco or Vero instead. Update: I just found out they did not pay off my trade in. This place is a scam avoid at all cost. I had to threaten legal action to get them to finally pay off the trade in. I recently visited this dealership as I was interested in the Kia K5. I spoke with a wonderful salesman Matt who showed me a few cars. Was not pushy and did a great job at helping me find what I want. He was very professional and answered all my questions. However, sadly that's where the fun stops. I had to wait almost 6 hours on finance. Once I got to finance I was met with a pushy finance guy trying to up sale me. After I finally got out and got the keys to my brand new 2023 Kia K5 I drove it home and noticed the doors would not lock and noticed a bad gash on the bumper. I figured I was missing something so I went back the next day where another random sales guy who pointed out that an inspection should of been done and I should have got a sheet to sign off on. The department that inspects and details the new car neglected to walk me through that part. We found that the rear passenger door would not lock. I took it back the next day to service who had the car all day. The service advisor I worked with was friendly and nice but sadly they could not fix my car. I was told because the car is so new they can't get the part they need and it could be several months before they can get it. At this point I am furious that this dealership sold me a brand new car with these problems. Moral of the story stay away from this dealership at all cost. If you really want a Kia which is a nice vehicle by the way and can't use any other dealer than this one then at least ask for Matt. read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT / MECHANICS are terrible. please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS PLACE!!!! but if you already got scam by them hopefully you never need to use their service department. starting with their service rep. Sophia lets start with, she "knows everything" except the ability to listen and comprehend and to finish with her passive aggressive attitude makes this experience even worse. if you ever see in your paperwork the mechanic Matt or Rommie please take your car somewhere else. They either over worked or just lazy to even make sure the car works for more than a week. This place should just focus on one thing and try to at least be good at it. read more

I bought a Kia sportage at the end of last year, Bruce and Heidi was great but trying to get an oil change not so much. The service department has not returned my calls after numerous times and on top of that, wen when I stopped by to make an appointment in person I waited just for someone to come in after me to be helped before anyone tried to help me. I had a horrible experience with the service dept and I want to warn people of the scam them are doing right now to customers. My check engine light went on 6'weeks ago, Labor Day weekend. I did run the car till my gas light went on and also the check engine light. I got gas and it went off but the next day went back on. The car ran great 2023 Kia forte gt, no issues no problems but having a week off work I decided to bring it in today to get the check engine light checked and make sure nothing is wrong. the code p030400 which said to get it checked out for possible misfire. I made a 10 am appointment and arrived early, the lady tells me I don't have an appt I had email confirmation but they would try to get to me. so they took my car said it would be 3 hrs for some recall of a software update and a few hours to check out the code But they called me at 1145 to tell me that the problem is water in my gas, that I got bad gas and it will be $999. to fix. I said that is impossible Brian tells me he will send me a pic of the gas test. so he sent me a pic of dark yellow liquid and water in a cylinder, tells me it's 14 percent water in my gas tank, well I m a female but not stupid, I know my car would. not work if my gas tank had 2.1 gallons of water in the tank. I said I will be right there do not touch my car. I arrived and told him someone is wrong there is no way 14 percent water is in my tank and I will not pay for them to flush my tank. Of course they say are u calling me a liar. I said lets test my gas together, well we go out to the bay the service guy hands are shaking when he pours water into a cylinder and then tries to put some jug of liquid in I stop him said no u will remove the gas from my car, he does and then shakes it up and waits for it to settle. well it showed 5 percent. so I said well look at that 14 percent to 5 percent. I m told no the first test is 14 percent if you don't pay the 999 you will no longer have a warranty and your car will cost thousands to fix with the water in the gas tank . I asked to speak to the service manager, Mike the service manager or director tells me no it's 14 percent after it settles give it time and if I don't pay the 1000$ they will not go any further to check the p code So I say why was my gas even checked I m here for an engine light he said they check everyone gas and at least every other day someone comes with this problem bad gas, so they go to tell me if I don't have them fix it then my warranty will be void and I will have to pay for everything in the future. So I get my car and google and start calling my son who is a mechanic i explain the test and he informed me along with corporate Kia that the test performed is a test to check the ethanol content of gas not water content. So they tried to scam me into paying 1000$. And how many other people since he said all the time this happens. I called corporate. They said the dealer never documented or informed them of the diagnostic so to go get a second opinion from another dealer to have proof of no water in my tank. So my warranty won't be void. I tried to call the service manager Mike before calling corporate to give him a chance to rectify the situation and make him aware of the test that was done to scam me out of a thousand dolllars but he refused to get on the phone. So he was probably part of the scam to threaten me with a voided warranty if I don't pay them $999 for nothing. I want to warn everyone cause of the hurricanes recent they are saying insurance will pay for this just call ur company. But the thing he didn't know was my car was never in any water cause I drove my big truck that entire week and the car sat in the garage untouched So please be aware they scam people and are unethical. I dont want to see anyone get ripped off from them. It's sad that they prey on women or people that don't know about cars. I called Kia in cocoa and they were more then happy to have me come in and they said they will check my gas and the p code. But funny thing what ever they did the check engine light is gone and did not return while I was driving it tonight. I have never wrote a review but I don't want other people getting scammed and lied to. they refused to do the recall they told me I have on my car also, said I must return after the gas situation is fixed. Horrible service and horrible to take advantage of customers. This has been the 5 th Kia I bought and my daughter in law has one I will never buy another even if it was free, to deal with unethical people is terrible. read more
