CRUMMY. I have driven Volvo for 34 years. the dealership manager was UNPLEASANT - happy to charge $28.99 per quart of oil. thousands to fix anything - they have no idea. They texted me a very NASTY text threatening to tow my car - if I didn't quickly remove it from their lot - BUT I HAD NO CAR THERE. I texted back told them they were in error - got a long phone message today threatening the car will be impounded and the costs will be mounting - just NASTY - I called and spoke with Corey the Volvo service manager - who said they would not bother me again- take your car - take your business elsewhere - they are CRUMMY. My husband and I stopped in on New Years Eve to have a look a what they had to offer. We had a beautiful 2014 very low mileage Jaguar convertible to trade in , maybe. After much consideration we decided to trade in our car and buy a new Volvo. We provided the payoff information and were told allow up to two weeks because of the holiday. Anof course the big excuse, Covid. Here we are on day 20. The Jaguar is not paid off. It's sold though. Just sitting unprotected on the lot. Can't go to new owner because title not released. Idiots. And now the payment is late. Why don't I make the payment? Because they will pay less then promised for the car. I've made numerous calls snd stopped in even. No return calls. No answers. Go somewhere else!! They are horrible! By the way we traded in a truck and bought a new one two days before at Mullinex Ford in Vero. It was paid off in five days. Overall, the staff at Volvo of Melbourne is friendly, attentive and make you feel like you've purchased a more upscale car. Easy check in for service and they provide rides. We have no issue with the personal interaction experience here. Service Advisors go far and above in explaining diagnostic attempts to find issues. Our issue is with Volvo corporate for warranty items and procedures. Our XC60 had about 10k miles and had severe front tire wear. We learned that Volvo doesn't rotate tires when they do oil changes. So our free new car oil change with Volvo didn't see the tires rotated. We argued that a car this new should not have tires worn down this badly. We paid for 2 new front tires as they would do no pro-ration as it's a "consumable" item. So no factory alignment defect? Obviously the tire started wearing immediately. Then at about 13k we get pulsation when braking. Warped rotor. Again Volvo corporate says warranty would not cover it as it's a consumable! What is a warranty for?! Bumper to bumper means just that. Rotors shouldn't warp at 13k. Melbourne Volvo, however somehow got Volvo to cover it as a "courtesy" and replaced the rotor and pads. We have been disappointed in Volvo quality and early mileage problems being deemed not warranty items by Volvo. We plan to trade car in for a different company. I'm giving 4 stars for the dealership, but I would give ZERO stars for Volvo corporate. read more

My boyfriend and I went to look at a specific car that we already did research on to purchase through our bank. The salesman was nice, but the manager racially profiled us as if we didn't have the money or couldn't even get financed to get the car. All we needed was the bill of sale to take back to the bank. Too bad zero stars is not an option. This was the worst car (non)buying experience I've ever had. Went in on a Saturday and bought a 2015 Outback. They didn't have the color I wanted in the same trim level, so I was told they could get it from a nearby dealer and even have it shipped directly to my house within 2-3 days. Well, Thursday rolls around I wanted an update so I called the dealership and asked for the sales associate. They paged the salesperson 3 times and I was put on hold for about 5 minutes each time. They apparently do not have voicemail. I got frustrated and left a message with the receptionist to have the salesperson to call me back. The following Saturday morning I finally got a call back (picked up by my voicemail) saying they will have a better idea of the status later that afternoon or the following Monday. Well, I had had enough so I drove to the dealership (45 minutes) with my parents who were visiting from SC. I was given a full-fledged runaround. Since my original car was not available, I asked about one on the lot at a higher trim level, and if they'd be willing to sell me that one (the more expensive one) with a reasonable discount due to my inconvenience. What I got was the same discount as the original (cheaper) Outback. I pulled out my phone, showed them what Truecar had to say and they immediately said that Truecar is actually in trouble for getting kickbacks and displaying lower prices than could make it profitable dealerships. I politely told the Sales Manager, Miguel, that if he and his dealership had a reputation to uphold, they would fix this situation. He was not very receptive to my suggestion so I asked for my down payment back and walked out the door. After I get home I took a look at USAA's car-buying service, and you know who they use to assess the price of cars? That's right, Truecar.com. I had an excellent experience using the service for my 2002 Honda Accord and have all my bank accounts, mortgage, and car insurance so it's a company I trust. I got quotes from 2 dealerships in Orlando that blew Melbourne's out of the water so I will happily make the drive over. In conclusion, stay away from Volvo/Subaru of Melbourne. I went in looking at a specific car they had on their lot and was open to other cars. I just moved to the area and needed a 2nd car. When I got there the cars looked nice, but walked around for about 20 mins with no one coming up. I had to go inside and ask someone if they could help me. They were poorly dressed and very rude (even the receptionist), they said they were very busy, and by busy they meant talking to co-workers, as thats all I saw in there. They acted as they were so busy they didn't want to help me right then and would "call me back" with some numbers for a few of the cars. Never got a call, but thats ok, on my way back home I passed by the Mercedes dealer to just see what they had, and a few days later got a nice new car there. If you are looking for a Volvo I would drive outside of town, this one is just not what a Volvo dealer should be. read more

I would have given this place a negative star if I could . Purchased a brand new Volvo from this dealership expecting a good experience but unfortunately the complete opposite . Shopped around and contacted this dealership saw a car listed and went to go see it and see if it had the options we were looking for. We asked the sales person if it had the options we wanted as things are in packages. There were other cars on the lot. We did like this one but wanted certain options. We were told it is what we wanted. This is a new car dealership a VOLVO dealership and this was a brand new car. We find out after purchase and get it home that some options we could not figure out so we called them to go over with us. Bring back to dealership they show us how to work some of the options we were having trouble with and had to put it in for service for a couple. Then one option they couldn't figure out so they had to scan my VIN # to see if it actually had it and they come back telling me it does not have that option . I ha e never dealt with a car dealership a " luxury " Volvo is suppose to be and lied to . All they had to do was say this car did not have that option and we could have looked at others on the lot that did have it . Tried to talk wit them about this they kept on lying to me and making excuses saying general manager wasn't around. I visited the dealership today with my wife and daughter. We walked in to have a look at buying a new XC90. We were in the sales room for about 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. When someone finally did speak to us it was only to say that she was on her way to go get a car ready for another customer. We waited around for another 15 minutes without any assistance in the showroom. Not being able to speak to anyone, we ultimately left. We will be purchasing a vehicle elsewhere. EXTREME LACK OF INTEGRITY. GO ELSEWHERE. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in September of 2017. As we were negotiating the terms of the sale, they "sweetened the deal" by saying we would receive a year of free oil changes. Their exact words were "We will give you a year of free oil changes." Not only did the salesperson, Derick say that, but the manager (Mark) who was closing the sale repeated "You will get a year of free oil changes." We bought the car. Oil change one, no problem. Oil change two, we were told we would not get any further oil changes. A year of free oil changes was only two oil changes. My husband spoke with the salesperson and manager and they told him the best they could do was four oil changes, as that is what someone normally sees in a year. We agreed to that, because although it was not what we had been told, we thought that was fair. We made the appointment for oil change three. The day before the appointment, the dealership called and said they had cancelled the appointment because we did not have any more free oil changes. My husband told Laura (who called from the service department) that he had been promised four oil changes by the salesman and the manager. She said, "Do you have that in writing?" Foolishly, we had just taken their word for it. My husband had to call the salesman again. After a long conversation, he was told he could get a third oil change, but that "was it." They had changed their minds about what was offered. Then my husband was informed that his appointment was still cancelled and he would need to make another appointment. My husband called Laura and she said she would check to see if they could provide service on the scheduled day. Laura said she would call him back. She never called him back. He finally called her and she said he could come in at the original appointment. They claim on their website to have service as a top priority. This is an example of the worst service we have experienced at a car dealership in our entire lives. The lack of integrity is a larger issue. My advice to anyone planning to purchase a car is to go elsewhere. If they have a car that you can only find there and you cannot manage to get to another dealershp, get EVERYTHING they say in writing and signed. Then, be prepared for a big hassle. Personally, I will never do business with them again and will warn others to avoid them as an act of good citizenship. There are plenty of good folks selling cars, it is dealers like this that give the car sales profession a bad name. A car purchase is a major decision. Do not be foolish and do business with this dealer. Honesty and integrity are essential with a major purchase that needs long term care. If they will lie about the terms of the agreement, can you really trust them under the hood of your car, or telling you what may need to be repaired or replaced? read more

I was accustomed to great service from Tarpon Springs Volvo. Since moving to Melbourne 1 1/2 yrs ago, I've been disappointed by Volvo of Melbourne... The 2 times I've had to bring my car for service, they couldn't provide me a car to use, I was used to Tarpon, where they always provided...This is part of the service package I was sold when I bought my car.... Volvo of Melbourne even has a sign in their service dept saying they "promise", but they don't. Then when you need a ride, you practically have to beg them to send the service van, this is after they tell you to call UBER, sorry, but I paid good $ for a car, I'm not risking my life taking UBER. Finally, they arranged a ride for me. The driver was very nice and the service dept was good, they fixed my car and washed it. read more

After passing a sleek new S60 on the road, I decided to look into a new Volvo during my car search. On a national level, Volvo advertised a price and features that I couldn't pass up. Living in Melbourne, of course I contacted my local Volvo dealer for an actual quote, anticipating the price may fluctuate a little. I immediately received a response from Lauren requesting additional info to draw up a quote. After many back and forth emails coming from two different email addresses, I finally had a quote of $100 MORE per month than advertised with the same features and terms. When I asked for an explanation, the only response I received was that the advertised price doesn't include "taxes and fees" -- a whopping $100 extra a month in "taxes and fees"! When I asked Lauren to provide me with options to reduce the price (removing premier packages, features, model year, etc.), she responded by asking what monthly lease payment I could afford. I went ahead and gave her my MAX price, which was only $50 per month less than her quote, and she stopped responding to me. I reached out to Wallace Volvo in Stuart (out of curiosity at this point) and they quoted me the EXACT advertised price INCLUDING taxes and fees. Volvo of Melbourne is a rip off. Do yourself a favor and drive a little to save A LOT. I saved $3,500 with Wallace Volvo and the customer service was incredible. Oh, by the way... don't bother contacting the General Manager of Melbourne Volvo. We had a great experience at Volvo of Melbourne. We were in the market for a 2016 XC90 and started the search online. We were able to locate a perfect match in their inventory online and the icing on the cake was that this dealership was also recommended through our bank's auto buying service. Lauren responded immediately to the inquiry sent by the auto buying service and from there we worked on all details of the deal via phone, text, and email, which was absolutely perfect as we are an hour away from the dealership. Lauren was able to value our trade, provide adjusted pricing for the vehicle, and get the deal through financing in a very short period. Having all of this completed prior to arriving at the dealership to pick up the car was fantastic. When we did arrive to close the deal, everything was exactly as it had been outlined, zero surprises. Jennifer, our salesperson, was ready for us. She went over the features of the car with us in detail and was willing to spend as much time as we needed to make sure that we were comfortable. Both Lauren and Jennifer followed up within a day or two to make sure that we were happy and everything was going well. All in all, this was a great car buying experience. I can't say enough about how great Lauren was to work with in putting everything together. I would most definitely recommend Volvo of Melbourne if in the market for a Volvo. We are thrilled with this vehicle but my husband and I both agree that when the time comes for a new one we would not hesitate to purchase our next vehicle here. read more
