As the parent of a child with Autism, I have been there. After years of concern, I began to lose hope that my son would ever expand his extremely limited diet. Now don't get me wrong--I was grateful he would eat buttered noodles and French fries, but knew we had to find a way to give him the foundation for healthier eating and better nutrition. Our family has trusted Therapy South,PC for physical, occupational, and speech therapy for years, so when we learned they also offered pediatric feeding therapy, we knew we were in good hands. We were quickly matched with Theresa Seremet, and she exceeded every expectation. Theresa is not only a highly trained expert, but she took the time to understand my son's sensory needs, comfort level, and personality. Together, we created a plan that was personalized, realistic, and completely free of judgment. Using creativity, play, and the Steps to Eating approach, Theresa has helped our son build curiosity and confidence with new foods at a pace that feels safe. Every session reduced anxiety, celebrated small victories, and created lasting progress. Rather than forcing change, she helped me better understand my son's feeding challenges and gave our family the skills to support him at home. The results have been beyond anything we imagined. Our son's willingness to interact with and try new foods has grown tremendously, both in therapy and at home. Mealtimes are no longer filled with the stress and frustration they once were, and Theresa has equipped us with practical strategies that have made us active partners in his success. One of the things that makes this program so special is that Theresa has built and supervises an outstanding team of feeding therapists who share her expertise, compassion, and child-centered approach. You can rest assured that if Theresa isn't available, the other clinicians are equally committed to providing the same high-quality, evidence-based care. We are incredibly grateful for everything Theresa and the Therapy South feeding team has done for our family. They have truly changed the trajectory of our son's feeding journey, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to any family seeking exceptional pediatric feeding therapy.

First of all I noticed a lot of people saying" it's hard to get in there" and that's probably true,…read moreif it wasn't great there wouldn't be a wait... The best things come to those who wait and I can go on and on, but I think you get the jest!!!! yes it may be a little challenging at first to get an appointment/the timeslot you want, but I can assure you this "once you get in there you are going to be amazed".... I have had the pleasure of working with three therapist from this agency over the last six years. I moved away and have recently moved back and yep even I am on the waiting list (reality) ..... but I know it's worth the wait..... so let me start out by saying if you are lucky enough to be paired with the therapist Brianna Sanchez you are going to be floored at how much your child will learn.... my son only knew the sign for more before he started working with her and now he does sentences. he's nonverbal and use signs. I would like to say that if your child is more at the severe end of the spectrum she's the right therapist for you !!!!!they're all great like I said I've either had subs from in there or had other therapist over the years, and all of them seem to have the same core values, which is to help your child become his or her very best... Please try to remember you're not the only parent with a kiddo with speech,PT or OT issues, there are a lot of us, and so yes the waiting time and the schedule may not be perfect but they do try and they do understand. For you new parent I know this journey is scary and it seems like the faster you get started the faster it will be better, but it's going to be a long process and you have plenty of time to get in the grove of things. one of the things you'll need to live by example to aid your kiddo in thirteen journey is patients. In regards to autism there's no quick fix, there's no overnight success so take your time absorb everything they teach you everything they work on implement it home and you will see success .... I was told my son wouldn't be capable of even using picture exchange or signs because of where he's at on the spectrum but through time and perseverance good therapist and putting into use all the things I've been taught " my son communicates way beyond the expectations he was initially given " I guess what I'm trying to say is never give up... if they've missed your call or you've played phone tag it wouldn't hurt (and I know they don't get offended ) if you just pop into the office and kind of see where you stand ? some of you might be saying that's a bit above and beyond, but that's reality, the whole journey is going to be a bit above and beyond!!!!! you might as well start now.... again I would highly recommend this agency I personally love them I will gladly answer any questions you have for me just message me. I don't take recommending anything lightly I would not steer another parent (in my shoes) in a wrong direction.... I pray that your journey whatever your diagnosis is , whatever the road looks like ahead for you and your child? I wish you peace and success and above all patients

You do not get an invoice. And then the owner threatens to take you to collections when you don't know exactly (no invoice you just have to take their word for it) as far as how much you owe.... Although I would still recommend the staff, I would just be very careful when it comes to the financial portion very sketchy...

Lorraine at the front desk made the whole interaction pretty seamless. We were seen by therapist Rachel for a consultation, and that was very successful. She was very friendly, welcoming, and reassured me about what the process was and what we could expect. The follow-up was awesome, and I'm excited to continue on a regular plan with the team. Really happy with my experience thus far! We've only done one appointment, so I can make an update after we've been to a few different sessions, but so far so good.

My siblings and I hired her for my mom who had a stroke 2 years ago. My mom had not liked any other therapist her insurance provided but within 10 minutes of Leticia's first visit, her and my mom got along so well it brought tears to our eyes to see my mom laugh and smile during her speech therapy session. Leticia listened to us carefully with all of our concerns and provided my mom with top notch services. Thanks to her, my mom was able to make more progress in the first few months, than she had with her other speech therapist. Having worked with special needs kids myself, I understand the need of making a true connection with your student in order to see some sort of growth in them. My mom went from barely being able to say and recognize her own name, to being able to say and spell her full name and more. I can go on and on about all the wonderful things Leticia had done for my mom but I don't think there is enough room. I truly recommend her to anyone who is in need of hiring her for speech therapy. Trust me if we could of continued paying for her services, she would still be hired till this day!

Not like…read moreGizmo chugging Liquid Death after midnight terror, but he does have tendencies to act up. What makes it harder is that he was diagnosed with ADHD and moderate-to-severe autism. Like many others with his conditions, he has speech delays. Naturally, our family sought out help and Kayla and her courses turned out to be game changing for the successful upbringing of my nephew. My nephew was non-verbal for about his first 2.5 years. Because his parents were a little concerned, they got in touch with Kayla and picked up the course. Her course advised communication with sign language which has helped tremendously. The next time I saw him after they started the courses, he was speaking with his hands constantly. I was surprised how quickly he picked up signs like "I'm hungry" and "all done". Silly me thought at first his hand motions were his natural mannerisms because he was born in the Italian part of New York City. Eventually he would speak by repeating everything we were saying. It hit me. He had a photographic memory and he was like a computer just copying everything into his hard drive. I looked at my little card counting machine with dollar sign filled eyes. I immediately booked us a suite at the Venetian on the Vegas strip. To our demise, I found out that little kids are not allowed at the blackjack tables so I had to cancel our trip. Also, his mom was not fond of me taking him to a smoke-filled room packed with degenerates like myself. On top of that, it turns out from Walkie Talkie's videos, his repeating is a matter of speech development. It is an interim stage of him practicing his words and sounds but not fully using them for communication purposes. But you hold on tight little buddy.. we'll crack the casinos together one day. Fast forward a few months and there was one incident where I found him shrieking like a bloody murder was happening. I couldn't tell if he had just gotten stabbed in the back by OJ or if he was practicing for an audition of an Amber Heard marital fight scene. At that moment, my training from the videos kicked in. I asked him in a calm tone, "what are you feeling right now?" He screamed: "It's a lion!" I jumped out of my seat and turned around to see if there were any furry feline predators that had escaped and entered my living room... In my defense, I do actually live pretty close to the San Diego Zoo. Apparently, I hadn't watched enough of the Walkie Talkie videos because it turns out that he was expressing his feelings by describing an animal that makes him feel scared because he was hanging out with me and missed his mother. Once I learned about this, I couldn't have been more proud of the kid. Even fully grown adults aren't able to identify their feelings sometimes, let alone have such colorful descriptions of them . Throughout the lessons, I learned that a nephew like mine has the ability to unlock his communication skills in many ways that may not be taught or catered to in a traditional school setting. I know that he is a really intelligent human being and will be able to strengthen his verbal skills through the exercise and training that Walkie Talkie Speech Therapy offers. Through these courses, I can see my nephew reaching his optimal potential which is to become the next Elon Musk minus his douche-baggery and twitter account. To rate Walkie Talkie Speech Therapy anything less than five stars would be to condemn life itself.
