I have been a patient of Dr Helfner's for many years. She used to work with another practice and was so great that when she opened her new practice I followed her to her current location. I have had multiple fillings and crowns done by her and have never had any problems. Dr Curro and Helfner also call to check on you after any procedures which demonstrates how much they care. My whole family has gotten outstanding care from her and Dr Curro. The office is hygienic and clean and they use the latest technologies. I have been seeing Dr Helfner for 26 years and have followed her from when she just started in a clinic to her well established office in Commack. Her office is always clean and she cares about the esthetics. Her staff is always very nice whether in person or on the phone. Dr Helfner is not an alarmist and is very caring. She does what she has to do in order to ensure an optimal outcome. She listens to your concerns and genuinely cares. I trust 100% of what she says in regards to my teeth. 26 years later and she has never steered me wrong. I've met Dr Curro a few times and also the hygienists and I have nothing but good things to say. If you aren't a patient yet, you really should go. Shoutout to Doreen who is always great to talk to. They have pretty good hours that I can make work around my busy schedule; nights and weekends. The parking lot can definitely get pretty packed at times but that would be my only slight issue. Super clean office, sweet staff. My husband has been coming to Dr.Helfner for YEARS and insisted I come here when I was looking for a new dentist. I started coming to this office a few years ago. Dr. Helfner and Dr. Curro are wonderful dentists! Hygienists are terrific too. The staff at the front desk are super friendly and nice. The dentists/hygienists are always concerned about our well being whether they are doing a cleaning, filling or a crown. They always want to know if we're comfortable when they're working on us. I had chipped a tooth and called Dr Helfners office. They were able to get me in immediately and I saw Dr Curro. Before I knew it I was walking out of the office with a fixed tooth done so well that I can't tell which tooth was even fixed!!! Everyone from the moment I walked In was wonderful. I was not a fan of going to the dentist until I went to see Drs Helfner + Curro. The staff is phenomenal, they make sure I felt comfortable + safe [which is MAJOR when you have anxiety about dental visits]. Any time Dr. Curro has had to fill a cavity or work on my crown, I always get a call to make sure I am doing alright. It's a great feeling to be able to walk into an appointment + not be anxious. It's a welcoming environment that is also comfortable. One of my favorite features? Headphones to watch TV while they work. I'm 33 and suffer from anxiety especially when it comes to the dentist. A few months ago a friend recommended Dr Helfners office, nothing to lose I made an appointment. My first visit I was petrified and a nervous rack, but was never judged. Instead they held my hand, allowed me to take breaks and talked to me the whole time while fixing a cracked tooth. I used to avoid the dentist at all costs but stumbling upon Dr. Helfner and her team has been such a blessing. I'm completely comfortable and confident with the treatments and procedures I have done. I was one of those types who dreaded the thought of going to the dentist for what felt like a torture treatment - that is until I discovered Long Island's best kept secret when it comes to dental care and bi-annual cleanings. By word of mouth one day (no puns intended) I was discussing my dental fears, actually my dental phobia, with a co-worker. She immediately related to my apphehensions since she once shared all the same dental aversions I was experiencing. She had nothing but favorable things to say about these two fabulous dentists, all the dental hygienists and the entire administrative staff.
