The post presented him as highly skilled at connecting oral issues to other parts of the body. I suffer from tinnitus and have been desperately looking for a solution, having already seen several specialists and a dentist. I requested an appointment online and clearly stated in writing that I wanted a consultation specifically for tinnitus, which the doctor later repeated during the visit. I received a prompt call back and asked directly if the doctor could help with tinnitus. I was told yes, and that he would spend two hours going over everything, including the meridian. I even clarified whether that meant two full hours with the doctor, not including waiting or X-rays, and was told it did. Although the online price was lower, I was quoted $500 and told the website was not updated. I had to pay the full amount upfront and waited four months for the appointment. I drove 100 miles each way with high hopes. The staff and doctor were polite, and I was taken for X-rays quickly, but then waited over 25 minutes for the doctor. When he arrived, I explained my main concern was tinnitus. He examined my teeth and recommended extracting a wisdom tooth and another loose tooth but gave no clear explanation connecting this to my tinnitus. Despite my questions, I got no real answers. The meridian was mentioned once briefly. I also asked about TMJ, and he said we could discuss it at a future visit. After repeatedly probing and redirecting the conversation back to tinnitus, he eventually told me it is not his specialty. At that point, I realized the visit was a waste. My 12 PM appointment ended well before 1 PM, and I left with a $4,000+ extraction quote and another $5,000+ if I wanted implants. I requested my records, and more than a month later, I still have not received them. I have never felt more misled or like I wasted $500. The right time to tell me tinnitus was not his specialty was during the initial call, or at least upon arrival with a refund. I would have been upset about the drive but charging me $500 on top of that added insult to injury.
