Due to my anxiety about dentistry and trust in medical professionals, I was taken advantage of for years at this office. This dentist will scrutinize your insurance and then convince you to have unnecessary procedures so that he can secure as much of your insurance money as possible. For example-he convinced us to redo an already existing crown that had no issues simply because it was old. I questioned him about it, and he admitted that it was not medically necessary. That was the last time my husband and I ever had anything to do with this office. Additionally, his skills are outdated and his equipment is antiquated. His skill level was discovered by my new dentist that was mortified at the quality of his work that she saw when she examined both my husband and my teeth. We have since found a competent dentist, and are astonished at the difference an actual modern, smart, kind dentist is actually like. It is entirely my fault that this happened to me and my husband. I should have been more diligent, less trusting, and more questioning. I'm glad I finally got wind of what was going on and urge anyone contemplating getting work done here to please seek other dentists. There are many choices and you only have so many teeth. It is clear that this dentist does not care about his patients and their dental health. He cares about how to use each patient as a commodity which I feel is unethical and fraudulent.

Well, fast forward to now and I realized that I really need to stop putting it off. Dr Mells's office was able to get me in in about a week for a consultation. The doctor looked at my x-rays and said I did not need a bone graft, just the deep cleaning and root planing. Quite literally everyone in this office is kind, compassionate and empathetic. They are patient and understanding and funny. During the route planning, I have to listen to very loud music and sometimes, it may not be the most appropriate lyrics but it gets my mind off of what's going on in my mouth. Dr Mells told me that she heard every single word. Oops! But I promise you, if you are afraid of the dentist, this practice is awesome. You're not sitting forever waiting, they get you back pretty quickly and it's always with a smile and a greeting. I have definitely found my new dentist office!

She has been nothing but kind, honest and truly makes me feel heard. I suffer from c-ptsd and Ashley has been more than understanding of that and always shows extreme care and compassion. She's always patient with me.. And I mean really patient. Recently she performed cosmetic dental bonding on my two front teeth I wanted do to correct superficial cosmetic chips from grinding and having had a tongue piercing. It's an understatement to say I'm a perfectionist, always nitpicking my teeth and pulling myself apart. It takes me a while to get used to things that adjust my appearance but thanks to Ashley I have confidence in my smile again. Morgan, Rainy and all of the staff are very supportive and always put the patients best interest first without self-seeking intentions. Not once have I had an unnecessary procedure recommended to me. Their patients are lucky to have them.
