I was denied for an MRI because of an allergy to contrast dye, so they wouldn't take me and I had to reschedule and go to a hospital. Another time, they denied me for an MRI because I have a piece of metal in my body. (Despite the fact that I have had three other MRIs in the last six months without issue, they would not take me.) And I was only told that after I was there, checked in, the paperwork, completed, and in scrubs and ready to go for the imaging. The radiology tech said he could call some of his other clinics and see if they would take me and they could try to reschedule. But if he wouldn't take me, why would the other clinics? I'm not going to bother trying again. I'll just go to the local hospital, so I know I can get help in a timely manner when I need imaging completed.

When I needed a further diagnostic, I got some texts saying it would cost around $700 but $600 if I paid ahead of schedule. I talked to my insurance who told me this procedure normally costs around $228. It's really difficult to get in touch with Solis Mammography at Brigham City. You have to go through their call center, which is where I got misinformation (adding an additional procedure). When I finally got my medical code, I called one other imaging local and found out the cost was $230 out of pocket and only $460 to insurance.
