Great classic dive bar! The bartender, I believe his name is Baylor, was very kind and was attentive to all customers. We came here from cobra club with Michael, a stuffed dragon, and Charlie, a new friend from greenpoint ((from nj)) and all 4 of us had an amazing time! I will definitely be back

    Guinness - nice glass!

I recently checked out Bonus Room on a whim, just after visiting Evil Twin brewing right across the street. Outside, you can definitely tell that the place is a dive. Inside, there are plenty of '70s vibes and things that make this bar feel divey. In reality, it is quite warm and welcoming and really offers everything you could want in a bar. There are plenty of "specials" on the wall which are essentially just shot + beer combinations. The bar serves Guinness on tap, which is always a draw for me. Our bartender, Kevin, was really friendly and offered me a shot on my birthday. He was working by himself but went out of his way to make sure everything was working properly (including the pool table), alongside serving drinks. This place has a lot of charm and would be great to visit with some friends for some casual drinks if you're in the neighborhood. I could easily see myself spending a couple of hours here!

Preston was the best bartender ever. This bartender was extremely comedating and extremely social. He made us feel very welcomed. Ask for Preston when you come in, he will be a great addition to the night

The weirdest smelling bar I have ever encountered. Like a combination of white cheddar powder and vomit. Apart from that I had a blast.

Just a good old fashion good time. Pool, pinball, and lunatics galore. The bartenders are the best. Shout out to Ash and Theresa.

When I went, they were blasting metal and I spent a couple of bucks to fail instantly at one of their pinball machines.

The bar is a bit on the smaller side in terms of seating, but it has a TON of personality. I loved the eclectic decorations and knickknacks around the seating areas and the bar. The bartender had the TV tuned in to Jeopardy, so my inner (or extremely obvious?) nerd was beaming. In terms of the drinks themselves, I tried the cocoa orange whiskey (?) infusion on the rocks, and my BF had the chipotle paloma. We would both say they were solid, definitely not at "craft cocktail" level, but decent. This bar has a fun + dive-y feel - the kind of place where you get a beer, a plate of chicken nuggets, and watch trash tv with your neighborhood crew (I think they actually do have people who have a weekly Bachelorette viewing during the week). Definitely worth checking out if you're already in the area and looking for ~vibes.~

I've had a number of drinks here and it's been a great meeting spot for late night occasions, especially ones that revolve around a good drink. No doubt it's one of the more underrated nightlife venues in the borough. The setup feels like something out of a Brooklyn type bar - pseudo hipster vibe, casual environment with the whole board games and stacks of books all within a space that is well divided to give a different feel in each corner of the small'ish interior. Like a living room extension but with adult company. Of course, the bar is the most prominent thing in the room and it's a great place to chill as a solo patron. Groups can congregate in the lounge-y areas but the feel is remarkably different depending on where one choses to hang. On a beverage front, there is no shortage of quality drinks to be had. The cocktails are well made and not expensive; the bartenders do a good job of making sure each drink carries a certain kind of potency before leaving the bar. The happy hours are lovely as well, combined with a good deals ($5 shot + beer special, $5 cocktails, etc.) and even better hours (2-8pm!). Lastly, I appreciate a good name. Bad Old Days can be interpreted in many facets, but I think this establishment prides itself on good company and somehow rewards us with simple, good drinks. Bring a friend or three, enjoy the random movies that get projected onto the wall, and enjoy a late night capper in a quiet part of an emerging part of Queens.

Yee-haw in Ridgewood!…read more My boyfriend is always asking me about my regular bar. I go to TV Eye for the shows, Milo's Yard for the yard and dj nights and Ore Bar is my fave but Jones Bar there's something about you that keeps you in my thoughts! We came on a Sunday afternoon for a cold one before heading home. It is insanely chill. The bartender was funny and inviting. The regulars were like old friends. My boyfriend loved talking sports with a few and deep diving into their love and hate for the Mets! The bartender mentioned that there was supposed to be a vintage market that was cancelled because of the rain. There is food pop ups as well and live music. This recent Friday was four live acts and for FREE. We made our return to our new fave spot. It did not disappoint. The place was packed but not annoying. People were chill. Age range from 25-40 maybe. The first guy playing is from Austin, Bubba Lucky also designed the flyer for the event. The second act, Patton Magee was a three piece. A perfect Friday night hang for sure. Country is back in the best way. This is the kinda bar I was searching for in Nashville. I'm glad it's here in Queens. I am a music lover but I like hopping around genres. So it's nice to get my fix here. So happy to finally be making this a home away from home. We got a table just before 3 which I was very grateful for and the host staff was friendly. We were told to get our order in before 3 since they would be closing. We ordered just an order of pancakes and unfortunately they were very burnt, but we did not want to send them back/cause any inconveniences as the place was already technically closed with most tables finishing their food and the waitstaff walking around to close out tables. The inside of the pancakes were delicious but the flavor was unfortunately altered by the char on the outside. I would come back with a reservation at a better time, it was a cute spot and seemed like there were a lot of delicious options but we definitely felt the time crunch in our food quality.

Starting with the Soft Scramble Egg Tostada, scrumptious is the right word! The eggs were perfectly soft and creamy and paired with that chili sauce it had just the right amount of heat to wake everything up. The Shrimp Ceviche was clean, bright and fresh, served with thick crispy tostadas to scoop it all up. The Chamoy Watermelon though? order it, full stop! Juicy watermelon cubes coated in chamoy, chili flakes and mint. Sweet, spicy, tangy and refreshing all at once. It's one of those dishes that sounds simple but completely delivers. The Chicken Milanesa was a solid protein forward dish. Beautifully golden and crispy with a light coleslaw on top that kept it from feeling too heavy. And the Chilaquiles were loaded and satisfying, topped with crema, cotija and scallions. The Vampiro cocktail has spicy tequila, house sangrita, hibiscus and grapefruit. It had everything I look for in a drink. Bold, a little spicy and so well balanced. Couldn't have chosen better!
