MAN Bonzai Is Good, as Good as Shoe Leather And I'ma Dog Give Me That Shoe Damnit. Bonzai's Staff Is Really Good Actually, -The Hibachi Chefs All Vary In Skills But Overall Charismatic Cool Guys -All Da Servers Be Cool Bombaclats Tcha Know Maon (I Hope You Read That In a Jamaican Accent) (I'm not Jamaican) -Sushi Chef's #HardCarry #GotTheTeamOnTheirBack #WinnersClub #Kissable #Skilled -The Other People I Acknowledge Over People Work At Bonzai I'm Sure Their Around And I Appreciate That. Bonzai's Great I Love To Eat There If Your Thinking Of Going There Then Don't Their Food Sucks Ass But They Make You Feel Like Family. (Just Kidding The Foods Good)

I'm unsure as to what happened to Bonzai however the quality has suffered tremendously. I ordered the California Roll which is the simplest form of sushi one can order and I actually had to send it back. They drizzled on top of the sushi roll what tasted like pure mayonnaise. Which was awful. I informed the server that the sushi did not taste well and asked for another roll with spicy mayo. However she did not seem to understand what I was requesting so I informed her not to worry about the sushi at all. The complimentary salad was drowned in so much salad dressing that you could barely taste the lettuce. However, since it was complimentary, I just pushed it over to the side. For my main course, I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp with fried rice and vegetables and unfortunately I did not enjoy the dish. The food did not have any flavor what so ever and I had to use salt on the vegetables and drown the rice in ginger sauce. In conclusion, I was not pleased with my food, or service. The only reason why I gave it two stars is because I have previously visited before in the past and had good experiences. Once again I'm unsure if they are under new management but the lead staff definitely needs to do some more development in order to improve food quality and service.

I honestly can't believe there are such low reviews, here. We had a wonderful server who warned us they were short-staffed, just like every restaurant after covid. Our food was amazing! We left happy & full & more than pleased with our experience. I don't mind paying good money for good food & that's what we got so I'm happy!

Blackened Dragon Roll. It didn't taste right but when hungry, you eat.

When Bonsai first opened, my sister and I came 2-3 times a month to try a new roll with a roll that we favored (blackened dragon). They were awesome in the beginning. Then they started going downhill being chinchi (cheap) with what they put in their rolls, specifically the blackened dragon which is one that is always my go to. I didn't leave but I did start complaining. I'd guess others did too because they started doing better. Now they're slacking again. This last time, mom got her usual, Volcano Roll and I got My First Love Roll and we shared a Blackened Dragon Roll which didn't taste right. These were mostly just rice. Very bare on what is usually in the center. The Volcano Roll keeps shrinking in size yet the price has gone up. I'm not paying good money for mainly rice. I have been a dedicated customer all these years. Though, now, I will say that this has gotten old. I'm walking away. It's sad when a long time customer has had enough to leave.

The beef quality was superb--thick-cut, tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned without overpowering its natural flavor. While the edges were cooked slightly beyond medium due to the uneven cut, that's a very minor critique. The grilled asparagus was delicious, and the green chile hominy was absolutely amazing. Overall, I would give Perini Ranch Steakhouse a 98 out of 100. The food, atmosphere, and quality were exceptional, making it one of the best of the steakhouses I've experienced.

We took the onions and cucumbers off our salad due to dietary issues and that left us with lettuce, mushrooms, and dressing. Our burger was the best part. It was cooked well, and the bun was soft. The strawberry shortcake was disappointing. The fruit was stewed and the biscuits were hard with just room temp heavy cream to offset the temperature of the fruit. For ambiance, it was nothing to write home about. Very busy and very loud, but it was a Saturday evening so that was to be expected. What I didn't expect was the lack of air conditioning in July. It was over 100 degrees that day, and it was cooler outside. Unacceptable for Texas in July when you're seating tables 3' from each other. Our server was good. She was attentive, and kept our water glasses filled. We may try again once the weather cools down.

(chips were pretty good) The salmon was overcooked and the grilled broccoli practically raw. This meal was so underwhelming it reminded me of maybe something you might pick up in a grocery store in that section where people who don't cook go to get ready-made meals. It was right at that level. Service- Two or three stars. Mediocre. I've been here once before, btw, and that experience was probably an overall 3-star. This time was right before a show at the convention center next door. You'd think that maybe the restaurant would have been prepared for a crowd? Apparently not, since our food was slow to come (the table next to us had both of their steaks comp'ed due to slow service and not being cooked as asked). When I asked for a wine list, the server stated that he would "try to find one", and it took awhile. And the restaurant was probably only about 60% full. I mean, if I'm going to wait forever for my food, at least let me be drinking while I wait! The appetizer arrived with our food, btw. Love that... Ambiance: Five Stars. The restaurant looks nice. Get your act together, Smokehouse! It would be nice if we could count on a nice meal before a show without having to Uber to and from the hotel/venue for it.

Even our one-year-old loved her mac and cheese and fried okra. Everything was delicious. They are BYOB, which was great, and Pinky's is just down the road if you need to grab something before dinner. The cheesecake and beignets were the perfect desserts for our birthday girls. The service was amazing as well. Our server was kind, attentive, and even got the staff to sing to my daughter, which made the evening extra special. The ambience its self was weird as the restaurant itself was clearly built to be a German medieval pub style restaurant and everything looked and felt old, tired, and touches dirty. None of these things were awful or dealbreakers by them selves, but just stacked up for a very mid meal and dinner experience

Casual. We sat at the bar and our bartender was amazing! He was funny and attentive despite being very busy! Service: The restaurant was so busy with diners even at 8:30 PM on a Saturday evening. I did not expect it to be this busy in my head. My husband and I sat at the bar since that was open seating and there were no sit down tables available inside or on the patio. The restaurant will add you to the waitlist if you'd like! Food: My husband and I shared the deviled eggs appetizer, and "the burger" with grilled jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. The deviled wggs (satan's huevos) were good, and spicy because we chose the "hellfire" option. The burger was huge! We looked at the menu online prior to coming and knew that we both wanted to try the cheese steak, so this was a bit of a bummer. They waitress who was very attentive told us that we can't order from the full menu for another 30 minutes so we decided to wait rather than leave. Listen, I get it the idea of having a different menu for brunch, but why not post it on your website and state the specific times for each menu? Also, what difference does 30 minutes make? They couldn't fire up the grill 30 minutes early? It wasn't very busy. Anyways, now for the good part: When we were finally allowed to order our sandwiches they were absolutely amazing. The steak was high quality and the gooey cheese had a ton of flavor. What wasn't amazing however was the bill. $20 for a sandwich and a small portion of fries in Abilene is absolute insanity. What's even crazier is we were charged extra for a side of ranch! I understand you get what you pay for, and there's no arguing the quality of the sandwich was top notch, but at the end of the day it's still just a sandwich. If you're good with dropping nearly $60 (including tip) on lunch, then this is your spot. For me, I'll take my business elsewhere.
