The bar definitely has a more modern feel to it with loud music playing on the ground level, couches along the wall and dim lighting everywhere. To take advantage of the happy hour, you have to get the same cocktail. We both ordered the Pina Colada which came in a faux coconut shell. It was one of the better pina coladas I've had, as you could tell it was made with fresh coconut and was strong on the rum. I would recommend it here. However, there's a solid list of cocktail menus on the happy hour deal, ranging in different alcohol bases. They do sell bar food here, which is mostly westernized (fries, calamari, etc...) Sava Beach Bar was a nice spot for happy hour, especially if you can get a seat that looks out to the water. Great cocktails and service.

Yes, dishes such as Crispy Pata and Sisig are on the fluffier/ fattier side but that's what makes it GOOD. Beef Kaldereta was saucier than I am accustomed but I engorged myself in its richness. Keep in mind, dishes are 250-350 PHP but are served as family style portions. Service was hit or miss at least when it came to getting the bill, but you really gotta raise your hand and yell at them -- it is the way, the Filipino way!
