Excellent customer service, happy hour includes a delicious frozen margarita, pina colada, daiquiri, or mojito. Pictured - Gini Hendricks (front), Gin Refreshment (back). Shawarma is a must! And the happiness salad is super refreshing .. hummus is also extremely fresh

This review is long overdue, and I feel bad that I didn't write it sooner. (Life in Los Angeles happened and got away from me, and well, I simply forgot). Reminiscing on the last time I left the country, THIS place lit up in my memories... HAPPINESS BEACH BAR was most definitely one of the highlights of my trip to El Nido last summer. The owner, Saar, also owns and rents out a beautiful and adorable beach house in Corong-Corong, where I stayed during my time in El Nido. Saar is incredibly kind, personable, super cool, and was so helpful in guiding my enjoyment in El Nido. (That's a-whole-nother amazing review, which I believe I left on AirBnB). The staff at HAPPINESS lived up to its name and treated me so kindly. They even helped me book a boat tour of the amazing islands (another amazing adventure I had while there). I can't recommend this place enough. The food, drinks, the smoothies, the PEOPLE, and most of all, the OWNERS. They're all about spreading JOY vibes, which is in total alignment with who I am, and my actual name. :-D I'm thinking about when I can finally travel to the Philippines again and visit the beautiful people here, that add to the paradise that is El Nido. I will never forget how wonderfully you all treated me! Can't wait to see you guys again!!! I have not forgotten. Thank you!!!! Peace and Love, Kristina JOY

Mango margaritas!

We stopped here twice while in El Nido. Once for lunch and a second time for drinks! Both times were great. For lunch some of the drinks were buy 1 get 1 free so that was great! We had mango margaritas and they were tasty. The food was also good! The second time we just had drinks and ordered French fries. The fries here are so good, they are a must try! This spot tends to get busy so go a little early and definitely try the swing seats at the bar. Great spot!

My gosh, I miss this place with my WHOLE BEING. The people that work here truly make this the place you need to go. They are so kind and genuine and fun and just overall, memorable people. They truly made our experience everything we wanted and more. We miss each of them so much! (even the ones who didn't add us back on social media *cough cough*!) They are So Amazing that my best friend and I were in El Nido for 5 nights and every day/night we came here! It was and still is our favorite place. I'm absolutely in love with their margaritas and regularly wish I was back so I could have some more. We definitely made use of the bar area as I'm pretty sure we tested every SWINGING BAR SEAT in the place - each one is different, I promise! In my opinion, you can't visit El Nido without visiting the Happiness Bar because it truly will make you SO Happy! We are already talking about when to visit next! By the way, we visiting in mid-February for my birthday and I've included a few photos as well P.S. Miss you all!!!

Yoske Restaurant was recommended to me by two Israelian girls I met while travelling in the…read morePhilippines. I ended up here twice (Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon). Only a few tables were occupied both times. Pretty dead. The menu is short with plate options, sandwiches (pita/wraps), breakfast, salad, desserts and drinks. The tershi (pumpkin salad) sounded interesting but it's only available Friday. I'm a bit surprised that they don't specialize their menu, especially given the owner is from Israel. Make sure you try the homemade spicy sauce! Super delicious. - Pita bread - this needs its own mention. Freshly made, straight from the oven. Dense yet airy. Tasted like sourdough on its own. Easily the best thing I ate. - Falafel (A3) (300 PHP) - served with pita bread, Israeli salad and tahini. This looked small but the falafels were crispy (although by themselves bland). Stuff them inside the pita bread and dip with tahini. - Shakshuka (A6) (250 PHP) - came with two eggs Tunisia style and pita bread. Good flavour and depth to the shakshuka. - Zahtar toast (180 PHP) - olive oil, zahtar, sliced tomato, onion and boiled egg. There's marinated olives that add a sour note. They use the same fresh pita bread but grill it. Good but only as a light snack. - Eggplant salad (C3) (70 PHP) - grilled eggplant Israeli style. It's a small side than an actual salad. But it did have a pleasant smoky flavour to it. Overall, stick with the Mediterranean options. 3.5 stars.

We started with a Mango Shake and ordered the All-Meat Boodle Fight for two and Pancit Canton. It took a bit for us to get our food and all in all, we thought the boodle fight was A-OK. The All-Meat Boodle Fight included chicken, pork belly, eggplant salad with rice. Though it seemed like it would be a lot since it was a boodle fight, we thought the portion was small. The grilled chicken was good, but the portion was not enough for two people, and the pork belly had way too many fatty pieces, so didn't eat much of the pork one. It was shame, too, since the pork had great flavor. Eggplant salad was very good and liked that it was included. And it was actually a relief that we ordered the Pancit Canton on the side to fill up on, which was a good dish with lots of calamansi flavor! Service was good and there is a full bar here with a sink in the dining area to wash your hands before and after you're done with your meal. But we weren't too impressed with our boodle fight, which is what the restaurant is known for. Glad to have had a boodle fight while in the Philippines, but it was far from the best.

They are located right on the beach in Central El Nido on Rizal Street. Unlike other "Filipino" restaurants around town, you will actually see local Filipino families dining in. That's how you know it's legit! We visited twice while in El Nido. The 1st time around, we pointed at the fresh seafood outside to have it grilled up and served to us upstairs some time later. I had a Unicorn Fish, a sweet, slightly briny white fish native to El Nido. My friend had a fresh Yellowtail and we also opted for the biggest should-be lobster prawn they had. So delicious. The 2nd visit, we watched the sunset from a window side table as a close to our island hopping tours. On said visit, we ordered Sizzling Pork Sisig, Beef Kaldereta, and Crispy Pata. Each dish was absolutely ginormous and automatically comes with rice. The ultimate best value on the island! Yes, dishes such as Crispy Pata and Sisig are on the fluffier/ fattier side but that's what makes it GOOD. Beef Kaldereta was saucier than I am accustomed but I engorged myself in its richness. Keep in mind, dishes are 250-350 PHP but are served as family style portions. Service was hit or miss at least when it came to getting the bill, but you really gotta raise your hand and yell at them -- it is the way, the Filipino way! They are also more likely to cater to the locals first which may contribute to a wait, but with such a beautiful view in paradise and the bustling of the restaurant teeming with people watching opportunities including some adings coming around selling home-made pastillas de leche, there is just so much to distract while you wait the some times 20-30 minutes for your food.

They serve beer, cocktails and some food -- mostly seafood/ Spanish and tapas/ apps. As its name would suggest, this is an easy place to witness the show stopping El Nido sunsets. The square footage of the bar/ restaurant is of a reasonable size with some high top seating looking out towards the ocean under any awning (upstairs and ground level), a few tables, and bar seating. I came a little before sunset for a couple of San Migs to experience the splendor at one of their choice high top chairs looking out to the sea. Front row seats at its finest. Oddly, Filipinos have a strange fascination with deep house which was bumping rather loudly and was off putting to some older gentleman who proceeded to turn down the volume without the permission of the workers. A little slice of paradise is sure to be had here if one chooses smartly just to sip and savor and shut out the rest of the world, especially one of the overprivileged tourist.
