We heard Boogie's has good fish so we decided to give them a try on this Lenten Friday. It was a good call and we were not disappointed. I decided to try the walleye with a side of fries and chili. I thought the chili was mediocre but everyone has a different idea of what good chili is so I'll cut them some slack. The fries were also mediocre. They were lukewarm and had no crisp, obviously had been in the warming tray a bit too long. So why a 4 star rating? Three things: the wait staff was very good, friendly and attentive, the walleye was absolutely delicious, perfectly breaded and cooked, and the meal was very reasonably priced. I mentioned the issue with the fries to the waitress and she told me to be sure to let her know next time and she would be sure to get them fresh, and she really meant it. All in all, a very good experience and we'll certainly be returning. read more

Had the walleye special for the last two fridays. First experience was done in and it was really good. Fish was breaded perfectly and cooked perfectly. The order came out hot and except for not having the sides or onion and tarter sauce it was all good. Week 2 was not so good. Called in an order for pick up and was told 45 minutes. Not a problem, we were on way home from airport and timing was fine. Arrived at the 45 minute mark and order was ready. Paid and left a tip then 12 minute trip home to find fish was cold and sides were missing. Lesson learned, don't call for pickup, and if you do arrive 10-15 minutes before they tell you it'll be ready so it doesn't sit there. Check your sides, and don't write in a tip before you check everything. I'll return for the fish but won't do the pickup again. read more

Boogies has the best wings I've ever had anywhere! I like wings and eat a lot of them on my travels. I've been to Boogies a handful of times over the past six months and their double-dipped wings are the best anywhere. Consistent, crispy, hot, every time. Now I bring my work friends traveling with me and they like the wings so much it's the "go to" place when in the area. Order double-dipped with sauce on the side. You won't regret it. If wings aren't your thing their burgers are fresh, never frozen Angus, lots of other tasty choices. Very disappointing visit. Told at least 5 times my to go order was being bagged. I get and really try to be patient with staff shortages, but just be upfront. After waiting for the food, my well done burger was very pink. The burger had an aftertaste, unsure how to describe. My husbands horseshoe was medium but very pink as well. First time visitor, who went here on the recommendation of a friend. A group of 8, we were seated immediately upon arrival. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, and got our drinks and orders in very quickly. Then the waiting began. All of our orders came out at the same, which is preferable for groups dining together, so maybe the fried chicken was the culprit, but 15 or so minutes for a sparsely crowded restaurant seemed rather long. The food was hot and tasty, but for a Reuben, something didn't seem quite right. The marbled rye got my hopes up, but the interior left something to be desired. Instead of slices of corned beef brisket, the meat looked more like the Philly cheese steak my wife had, and tasted similar as well. The meat was chopped up fine, with a little bit of sauerkraut and Thousand Island to top it off. If there was any Swiss on it, I couldn't detect any. While the top slice was toasty and crisp, the bottom was like a wet sponge. Flipping it over helped prevent it from falling apart in my hands. My side was a baked potato, which was very good, although it's kind of hard to mess one of those up. My wife's Philly was very greasy, with not enough onions and peppers, along with an overly dry wrap. Her sweet potato fries were not too crisp either; more towards the soggy side. Our friend's fried chicken looked delicious, and the platter of chicken livers was quite bountiful! So much so, he had to get a takeaway box. This eating establishment is so far out of my way, I doubt that I'll ever return, but those livers did look inviting! Reasonably priced, a large variety menu, with a very friendly wait staff, I'm sure this place is a favorite among locals. Just not on my radar for a return event. read more

We normally like eating here but we sat there for 15 minutes waiting to be served. They served 3 other couples that came in behind us and not a single acknowledgment that we were there. The final straw was them serving a he couple that sat at the table behind us before they even sat down. It will be awhile before I go there again. Outstanding Midwestern food. It is a simple place, 50% is lounge and 50% bar and high tables. The staff is fast and friendly. The food is fresh, never frozen. Nice variety on the menu and each order comes with more than the average person could eat. The entire place is spotless. The theme of the restaurant is Margaritaville. A very relaxed place, that you will enjoy and be glad you came. Plus, it won't cost you this week's paycheck. The only reason that I am giving the restaurant a four star, is that when it gets really busy, it is impossible to talk with your guest. My friends like to go to Boogie's on Tuesday fro their hot wings special. It was a Saturday so we thought we would take a chance. We were excited because we were seated quickly. We should have noticed that the waitress was walking around with her coat on. We had the air conditioner blasting us from every way. They had a duct on the ceiling and it was so cold. I was excited that they offered a Monte Cristo sandwich and sweet potatoes fries. We also ordered some wings and a burger and fries. Our waitress took our orders and disappeared. There was one other waitress, she was too busy eating her dinner in front of everyone and playing on her cell phone. Our poor waitress was busting her tail. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. The wings and the Monte Cristo sandwich was amazing. However, the burger was requested to be well done, it was medium rare. My friends said they are just going to stick with wing night. read more

The chicken wings were very tasty and I suggest from experience at other restaurants, that you order them double dipped and well done. Their steak is cooked exactly as you order it. I choose medium, rare closer to rare and it was perfect. My friend ordered medium well and it was perfect. Baked potatoes are well. They're baked potatoes, however, I choose to have them loaded, which comes with sour cream, butter, green onions, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Salad is extraordinary, nicely fresh and topped. I choose their house dressing in it to me, is the perfect choice. If you go to the one day of the week, it might be Tuesday or Thursday. Maybe if you look on their website you can find out it's on special and very very affordable. There's service staff is very polite and doing extremely well job. If you haven't had Boogie's wings, stop what you're doing right now and get some. Their double dipped wings are the stuff of legend in these parts, and it's not hard to see why. Crispy deliciousness that always makes you want to order an extra pound to take home. My favorite non-wing item has to be the Horseshoe. A delicious perfectly cooked burger on top of a piece of Texas Toast then topped with fries and smothered in cheese sauce. There's no part of that sentence that doesn't make my mouth water. This was one of the worst experiences I've had in awhile. The food took over an hour to come out, for only three people. We stopped in for lunch but ended up being there till dinner. The fries were soggy and unseasoned. The sweet potato fries were also soggy, the rest was 5/10 at best. I continuously watched servers walk by food in the window and ignore it. There was plenty of staff for the amount of people in the restaurant this was overall just ridiculous. I didn't get a single drink refill and my other two friends sodas were empty most of our time. Blah! I don't know what it is about this place but the parking lot is always full. I kept telling my wife we needed to check it out. Well, we did and now I'm in the dog house. First of all, the service is horrible and slow. We waited for ever for the waitress to take our order. I literally drank two beers between the time we placed our order and the time we received our food. Overall, we were here for an hour and a half but should have been in and out in less than an hour. I had the fried shrimp dinner. It was nothing special; your basic frozen fried shrimp with crinkle-cut fries and cottage cheese. My wife had the horseshoe. It looked pathetic. It was an overcooked hamburger with crinkle-cut fries with no where near enough cheese to cover the burger. To say the least, I am very disappointed in this place. We would say we are regulars here and love to go at least once a week. We love the double dipped wings; Cheese burger in Paradise; homemade chips; chicken salad sandwich on a hoagie roll; Potato skins; and the Chicken Sandwich breaded tossed in hot sauce with ranch on the side. The garlic parmesan wings are also good too. (Can you tell I have the menu memorized,) I recently went on Sunday and had the chicken special and it is a great deal and was very good. We will do that more often now too. They are always super busy on Tuesday with the wing special so go early and enjoy. The beer on draft is always great for us but I have become addicted to their iced tea. When I order a mixed drink, it is always good and not weak. The owners are often there so if you have a problem, they would be able to assist you if you have an issue like Bradford P. did. Great place for watching Rams; Cardinals or Blues. If you want a quieter evening, don't sit on bar side and you will be good. We have been there for New Year's Eve Parties; Super Bowl Night; and rented the party room downstairs last year for a graduation party and that worked out great. They are also a great place to order a to-go order too!!! We use it a lot and is always pretty quick. They give you a time when it will be ready and it is always ready when we get there. I wouldn't call anything there "amazing," but it's decent bar-style food. Service is okay. Second time we had a really sweet waitress. First time, waitress was a little short.
