I went here today for the first time. I thought it was really cool. Very big store. I was greeted immediately and the two workers appeared to be friendly. I like how the store was organized. I definitely see myself coming back and just strolling down each aisle looking at books.

I'm a second generation Decatur resident who grew up near Toco Hills and my earliest memory of going to Book Nook was with my family in 1985 when I was 7 years old . Back then it was at a different location, a little further down Clairmont Rd. It was paradise to a family of readers as there was something for everyone. We would all separate and wander the aisles of our choice then meet up later. My mother loved contemporary fiction, my brother was a die hard Sci-Fi fan and I would look at comic books. I no longer live in Decatur but my mother does and I still stop by and visit when I'm in the area. They have a huge book selection with great prices and an assortment of gifts. They have a new book section if used books are not your thing. They also buy books and comics that you can cash out for a little money or get a much larger store credit. It's a great place with a long history of helping Decatur residents find books they love at a good price. Please try and shop here as much you can. Gems like this are fewer every year.

Books from Book Nook! Great finds for only $30!

Really amazing selection, great staff and terrific prices. If I were designing a used bookstore it would be exactly like this

Unique atmosphere. Labyrinthine stacks of used books that go on forever. A cool selection of pop culture collectibles and toys as well.

The experience for me is a lot about the lone browsing, the wandering of terribly unorganized books.

Actually, it may have been longer than that, honestly. They have a lot of options and they have decent prices. The staff is super friendly and very nice and super helpful, so I can't say anything bad about that at all. They have a main room and a back room, and these are filled with vinyls, so if you can't find what you want here, then you may want to check another place in the facility. If you want some CDs, you can probably find those as well. Overall, I've been coming back for years, so obviously it's a good experience, so I have no complaints.

I hadn't even played a CD since about 2010, so it was finally the time to rid myself of the few hundred CDs that had been in storage for all of these years. Wuxtry Records is a quirky looking music store that looked like it specialized in selling used CDs and vinyl records. I had called the store asking one of the employees about them buying my CD collection, but he couldn't commit to anything until he saw the condition of the CDs and their genres. He explained that he would not buy CDs if they already had enough inventory for that title, but would consider buying rock CDs. I had a lot of those! Parking was easy on the weekday that I went, and I didn't have any trouble finding a space in the free parking lot that is shared by all of the retail stores in the shopping center. I brought in about 200 CDs to the front counter and was told to come back in about an hour while they went through all of the CDs and determined which ones they were going to buy. During my wait, I just browsed in the store. There were lots of CD titles and groups that I have never heard of, and lots of familiar ones too, and they all looked in great condition. And there was a lot of quirkiness! In the end, there were about 40 CDs that I was not able to sell to Wuxtry Records. This was fair to me and was a good experience. I didn't receive anywhere near the money that I spent to get these CDs, but my goal was to get something out of the CDs that I knew I wasn't every going to play again.

I've been refreshing my style and wanted to pick up a few magazines for inspiration. I…read moreintentionally chose to step away from digital, so visiting Barnes & Noble felt especially refreshing--there's something about being in a physical bookstore that just hits different, especially now that so many have closed. This location is in the Peach shopping center and is conveniently connected to a Starbucks. The magazine section is impressive--huge selection covering just about every interest and hobby you can think of--and the store is laid out just how you'd expect from Barnes & Noble: clean, organized, and easy to browse. I ended up signing up for their rewards program and already have six stamps. On my next purchase, I'll get $5 off, which is a nice bonus.

Ah, heaven. There's…read moresomething so peaceful, so soothing about a bookstore and a library. (Especially the library because it's free okay?) Barnes & Noble has been a staple in my world for so many years, it's always great to see them up and in action and books finding their way into new homes. After a date night out, my partner decided we go to Barnes & Noble to grab some books for our son. What a perfect way to end a date night, imo! This B&N is located in a huge plaza in Buckhead, meaning that there's tons of parking available. There is a Starbucks attached to this location, it's small but there seemed to be some seating. This location is one of the smaller B&Ns that I've seen but they made great use of the space. We started in the children's section of course and they made it such a cute space for little ones! They had a little stage setup along with a bench for seating and extra space for the babes beyond that. The shelves were lined with books of all kind, and even housed some cute stuffed characters from the pages of those exact books. I loved it! There was a wide array of books for children of all ages and a variety of topics. I loved that there was a special section highlighting Black history and culture, as well as a section with books all centered around Georgia! I grabbed a book from each section for our little ATL baby. The bookstore was so clean and so organized, I didn't see a thing out of place. I just wish there was more seating!! I guess they don't want folks getting comfy and reading all the merchandise before they walk out lol. We did find seats near the 'gifts' section which allowed us to go through what we picked up to see what we'd leave with. We ended up with 4 children's books, 1 new book for me and a learning toy for $100. Not too crazy!
