I went here today for the first time. I thought it was really cool. Very big store. I was greeted immediately and the two workers appeared to be friendly. I like how the store was organized. I definitely see myself coming back and just strolling down each aisle looking at books.

I'm a second generation Decatur resident who grew up near Toco Hills and my earliest memory of going to Book Nook was with my family in 1985 when I was 7 years old . Back then it was at a different location, a little further down Clairmont Rd. It was paradise to a family of readers as there was something for everyone. We would all separate and wander the aisles of our choice then meet up later. My mother loved contemporary fiction, my brother was a die hard Sci-Fi fan and I would look at comic books. I no longer live in Decatur but my mother does and I still stop by and visit when I'm in the area. They have a huge book selection with great prices and an assortment of gifts. They have a new book section if used books are not your thing. They also buy books and comics that you can cash out for a little money or get a much larger store credit. It's a great place with a long history of helping Decatur residents find books they love at a good price. Please try and shop here as much you can. Gems like this are fewer every year.

Books from Book Nook! Great finds for only $30!

seems to be mostly CDs and paperbacks, but I did score some decent art books - not as productive as vintage or half price books

    Review Highlights - Book Nook

The experience for me is a lot about the lone browsing, the wandering of terribly unorganized books.

I've walked by the place sooooo many times and never stopped in. I saw that they were having a book…read morefestival so took the kiddos and had such a wonderful time. There is paid parking lot right outside the front of the store with several other areas for parking nearby but we walked over from MARTA and it was a breeze. The store is huge! There are sooooo many books and I love the layout. The signage makes it super easy to find what you're looking for and the staff are super helpful. The bookstore itself is so inviting and the kiddos loved playing in the play area where they could interact with other kiddos, read a book, and play with trains. There is a wide selection of books for allll sorts of folks, genres, ages and I appreciated how inclusive the selections were. We definitely came out with a ton of books and I'm sure we'll be back soon for more! Read more books!!!!

I love this little bookstore!…read more Well, there's nothing little about the space and endless opportunities to find literary greatness at this bookstore in the heart of Decatur. I've had the opportunity to visit Little Shop of Stories numerous times since I moved to Atlanta, but my visits totally hit differently now that I'm a mom. As someone raised by a teacher (with help from Reading Rainbow and Levar Burton), I've passed this onto my son although he can't read yet, lol. So we are always adding to his little library as he grows. Beyond books, Little Shop of Stories also carries so many fun educational toys for kids and books for readers of all ages. It's so easy to get lost in their large collections, but luckily they keep it incredibly organized and make it easy to find whatever your imagination can dream of. After finding a few goodies to take home to my little one, I strolled around the store a bit more and took in the whimsical vibes. Just being in there lifted my mood! Seriously a wonderful place to transport yourself into the magical world of books and discovery, no matter your age.
