Kurt is so polite and very knowledgeable. I appreciate that he tries his best to get the job done at the lowest possible price without trying to upsell. We haven't had our blinds installed yet, but it was great to have him come to our house to measure and show us what options he had to offer. Also, Kurt is so great with kids and took a small break before leaving to play "keepy uppy" with a balloon with my younger kids, and they really loved it! read more

Kurt did an excellent job installing our plantation shutters and roller shades. The shutters and shades are a high quality product, and he is very knowledgeable and professional, including clean up. He was courteous and answered my questions during the installation, giving me some options of placement and his recommendation. Customer service update. We are still loving our Hunter Douglas Duette PowerView blinds. We…read morerecently had our 25 year old windows replaced and my handyman husband was successfully able to take all the blinds down, replace the batteries, and put them all back up again without any problems. Or so we thought. We had an issue with the kitchen blind not lowering all the way. I followed the instructions on my App, watched a Hunter Douglas video and a YouTube video but couldn't solve the problem. We called the Portland Window Coverings store and the person who answered the phone was very helpful and tried to walk us through all the steps we'd already taken. The blind still wouldn't cooperate. She said she'd get a service technician out by the end of the day or the next. By 6:30pm Friday night we figured we'd have to wait until tomorrow or the following week but just as I was about to take dinner out of the oven, Joel (the actual business owner) called and said he could come by right away. In less than 10 minutes Joel fixed the problem (I couldn't have fixed it via my App as it turns out and the videos weren't correct either) and our kitchen blind was functioning as it should. We were thrilled beyond beyond belief to have the problem solved. And on a Friday evening at 6:30pm, WHO DOES THAT? Thank you Joel, you are amazing and the best example of customer service EVER. I highly recommend Portland Window Coverings for your window covering needs. Yes, it's an investment but look at the customer service response after eight months!!!

At first you really have NO idea how much is needed with a deep clean. But if you think about it, would you EVER want to start cleaning your home half way then try and remember what you did versus what you did not do? Right, we don't work like that [no woman ever does when it comes to cleaning our own homes]. So Jackie came to the house to assess the first initial deep clean, discuss my needs, my concerns, answer my questions. And I had to get a feel for what she was, how she was, who she was, and what kind of deal was taking place. I'm a weirdo, I fully admit this. I don't like strangers in my home, I don't like socializing in public. THIS IS MY SANCTUARY. And truth be told I'm a stage 5 klinger. Once you have me as a client I may or may not be quite something to deal with. I know high maintenance when I see it [and I'm it..no shame in my game]. When I found this service on Yelp, they were one of two narrowed down, and quite frankly I just liked what they had to say, so they got the bid, pure and simple. AND when I asked her about her staff [because I was worried about turnover in todays economy and the service industry] she was a little taken aback. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for. It has been months now, and today was my cleaning day. You will not know they are there. You will not know they are gone. I am still in awe, I am STILL as grateful as ever and they will have a lifelong client as long as they are in business. This is a 100% factual based review. I have no skin in this game, I do not know them, but I will tell you this. THEY ARE A PHENOMENAL BUSINESS MODEL. And you would be foolish not to try to secure their services.

They were all smiling and so friendly. Then, got a call saying they were done and invited me to come out and see everything. The super nice girl, (professionally dressed in a work uniform) literally took me around and showed me the amazing DRIP system and showed me ALL PLANTS where getting water. They set the timer and even moved my valve box to a different location (my bad, I sprung a last minute glitch in the plan) and had the valve box set up nice so no critters could get in etc. They cleaned up so nicely can't even tell they were here. They are my 3rd try at using Yelp. I've actually saved them in my contacts as "The only irrigation to use ever" in my phone. Trust me.. no regrets. I am satisfied. No worries going with these guys for DRIP, valve box stuff, weedblock install, and lawn edging. Did see a sample of a water fall feature. Was insane with a miniature golf course around it. Pfeifer replaced my composite roof with a standing seam metal roof this winter. My experience was…read moreessentially perfect, or as perfect as one of the most stressful home purchases you'll make can be. I got four bids from local companies and while Pfeifer was not the cheapest, they had the best combination of knowledge, experience, and price out of the four. Sam's advice about the best underlayment and important details of the panel structure and flashing made Pfeifer stand out from the pack. Pfeifer scheduled the removal of my composite roof for the next time that the weather cleared. Hector and his crew were out here early every day, and they worked hard. They worked almost every day for about a week including coming in on the weekend when the weather allowed. Once the underlayment was on they waited about a week for the panels to get produced and delivered and then Hector's team was back out at my house daily for about two more weeks installing the roof. Higher level supervisors from the company like Christian, Martin and others were regularly in touch and visited several times to make sure that the quality of the installation was up to their standards. Since I don't really know much about roofs there were a couple times when I was worried about the way several details looked. Hector was consistently patient with my questions and every single time his explanation for how he was installing the panels matched or exceeded the manufacturer recommendations I found online. My roof is significantly more complicated than I appreciated at the start of the project, but by the end I was confident that each valley, pitch change, and vent was expertly flashed and sealed. There was a small amount of additional work that needed to be done around some siding on the house, and the quality and the cost of that work were both fair. Metal roofs are a craft, and the details matter for the roof's long-term performance. Once the roof installation was done I asked an expert roofer I know to come out and provide a consultation for me about the quality of Pfeifer's work. He doesn't think very highly of roofers in general, but he was quite literally floored by the multiple signals of extremely high quality work he saw on my roof. Hector and his crew are excellent at what they do, and the whole team at Pfeifer are professional. There is a reason that they have so few CCB complaints for such a long tenure as a company: you can trust Pfeifer to install your metal roof the right way.
