This was a cute bookstore to visit above the Unfiltered coffee shop. There is a mixture of new and used books to peruse. They also have some art and jewelry for sale from local artists. The staff was really nice. We purchased some cute book related art that could easily be framed; they will be nice decoration for a home library or classroom. Since they were done by a local artist, I think the price was excellent for the quality of the product. It is on the smaller side, so it did get a little crowded. read more

Stopped by on my way to Tampa after seeing solid reviews. It's a unique space--clearly a converted home--with rooms loosely organized by genre and books tucked just about everywhere, including the kitchen. If you enjoy the thrill of the hunt, you might really enjoy it here. Personally, I prefer more structure and hardcover selections, so it wasn't quite my style. I didn't find anything to take home, and there wasn't any staff interaction during my visit. Still, it's one of the few bookshops in the area, and I'm glad it's there for folks who love browsing for a surprise find. read more

Well, ~I~ just re-discovered this shop after their move from what has become Book-A-Readaville. This location was open and easy to navigate, had lovely selection of books, and some great totes/t-shirts and such. The cashier/owner informed me that he is actually moving this week to another, even larger location, which is great for him! Hopefully, I'll make it to the new store a bit sooner than I did this one post move! I still found some books that I had to take home, so I guess I helped a little with the move! read more

What a cute shop. I want to go back and really take a look at it. This is what happened. A book box is pre selling books for Elise Kova's A Married to Magic series. I LOVE this series. I went on Pango Books (a book reselling app of you aren't familiar with it) to see if anyone was selling their copies before I go and pay full price for them. I stumble upon a post that Elise Kova will be at a shop for a book signing and they will have her sign them and mailed to you. I looked to see when and where and holy crap, it was happening two weeks later at a shop an hour and a half away. Y'all. I contacted them, pre purchased books and took the day off for this. Ahhhh!!! I met Elise Kova and she signed my books. To me! Best freaking day ever. Okay, now to the book store. I would not have looked at the store and though books. Maybe because there aren't windows so it blends in with the surrounding industrial building. No worries. They have a big sign out front so if you can read you will find it. Parking is a little tight, but for a local bookstore there are enough spaces. I tried to look around since there was a small line to met Elise. Unfortunately, I was so excited I couldn't focus on anything else. I found a few books that are on my TBR list, but ended up leaving them for books just from Elise's work. The shop sells new and preloved books. For the most part it is set up well and easy to look for a genre or section you are looking for. Being distracted, I didn't quite take the shop in properly. I'll need to go back on a trip to Disney or Universal and spend some real time hunting the shelves for new reads. read more

Adorable little bookshop! They had many, many books and stickers. Plus, they had a cute little kids area too. This is all really close to an area that does a farmers market and other adorable little shops too. The customer service was great. The guy was super busy but so friendly. They were a bit disorganized but I will cut them some slack as they said they were in the middle of rearranging their store PLUS they were super duper busy (which makes my heart happy to see). A top to bottom used book store. You can bring books you no longer want and trade them in for using credit in their store. They are fair with pricing when it comes to giving credit. And your credit doesn't expire. I was there browsing for over an hr. If you have a large amount of books to trade, make sure you go in on a Saturday. read more

BEST USED BOOK STORE. The smell of the books was just as welcoming as the worker who greeted us and gave us the lay out of their super stocked selection. The same worker who greeted us (probably the owner, and if she's not... give her a raise!) was knowledgeable and when we asked she offered suggestions. It was a great day trip for us to get away from the busy city we were visiting. read more

Book Bazaar is one of the two remaining used bookstores in Lakeland of which I'm aware. Fortunately, stores like this still exist. Especially for a small-town, local used-book store, their selection is huge. Most of the inventory is paperbacks, although they have some hardcovers. They have a generous in-store credit exchange policy so it seems like the stock is constantly turning over with new items -- which is a good thing. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the prices are fair. It's been family-owned for a long time and it shows. We really enjoy shopping here. read more

For the condition of the books to the prices it's not worth it to me they are way to over priced for how bad condition they are and I understand it's a used bookstore but these books are extremely bad. If you are a book lover, this place is for you. Over 200,000 used paperback books for sale on the cheap. Organized, categorized. If you bring books in for them, they "credit" you for books in trade. Great kids and teen section. Depending on when you are there, they sometimes have student workbooks and audiotaped books. (I took one star for the musty dusty smell--perhaps can't be helped with that many books in motion.) Parking lot is small and employees are sometimes moody/not helpful but great place for cheap reading material. read more

I would love to give this store 5 amazing stars. I've frequented this store so many times over the years. However, recently with this outbreak, I am disappointed in the new owners who have not closed their doors. They are not limiting the amount of customers and they are not cleaning and disinfecting. They aren't even offering no touch hand sanitizers by the door. I will most likely not come back to this store because of these choices. read more

Holy moley. This is the only place I can go to that has a true variety (and I live in Orlando), which is actually very uncommon! There's such an easy flow there as well, as in, the whole setup feels intentional yet so natural. read more
