They have been independently and family-owned for over 40 years, and they are a must-stop for all book and music lovers out there. This store is HUGE with over half-a-million books, movies, music and memorabilia. However, I think what makes them extra special is the curated selection of Horror and Thriller books, including some very unique collectibles. I am more into contemporary, so keep in mind those books are located on the top floor of their second building. Their children's book section was also incredible but frankly I didn't have the patience to go through them. This store can be a little overwhelming so definitely take a breath and ask for help if you can't find the genre you are looking for.

The children's area had the most toys I've ever seen at any of these places. And even thought it's large, I saw things that remind me of what a thoughtful bookstore should have in it. Children sitting on benches reading and laughing. Teens talking about the books they're buying and looking forward to reading that story. And adults having fun with their children. And I must say, isn't that what a bookstore should be about? Laughter, imagination, excitement to read. It truly made my heart happy to see and feel their joy as I walked through the book isles. There's a B&N store close to my house, and I never see or feel what I experienced at this store. That speaks volumes to me. And yes, I bought a book. Every year I look for that special Halloween book I can share with my granddaughter. Today I added the children's book, "We Are Already Haunting Here" by Gideon Stere. There's a dedicated children's area with nice seating for them. There was a touch of magic there. Kids were happy and couldn't wait to get to the next book. That is what a book store is supposed to be about. I met the owners and both are genuinely nice and they care about their customers and their business.
