Hands down the best cheeseburger in town! I like to take my time ordering and I felt bad the young waiter kept trying to take our order and we weren't ready (it was our first time in) his supervisor ended up taking our order which I would have rather she not intervened he was doing a good job being attentive and I felt we betrayed him in a since...moving forward this was the best cheeseburger I've ever had! Sadly I will not dine in again because the facility was dirty and there were dead flies in the crevasis above our booth under the picture frames. I went with the burger topped with jalapeños and onions, and it turned out to be a great choice. The flavor was solid, a little spicy, and definitely above average. The fries were a surprise hit too. Crisp, well-seasoned, and honestly, way better than I expected. Even though I was taking my food to go, the service stood out. The gentleman who took my order was friendly and made sure everything was ready and packed up nicely. It felt like they actually cared, which isn't always the case with takeout. One of the best breakfast places in Oklahoma. Each location has an old time ambience with cool photos and artifacts. And each location, in my experience, has excellent food and excellent service. I counted 4 people who came to check on us while we were seated, concerned with our happiness level. Which was very high throughout. Clean, and wheelchair accessible. read more

Great customer service at this diner! The food came out hot, fresh, and fast. The coleslaw was surprisingly well seasoned. Many places slack when it comes to slaw. The catfish was fried nice and hard. I think the potatoes might've been from a box, though. Think I bit into a lump. But overall it was a pretty great meal. read more

I took my family of 5 here today. When we entered there was a group of tables pushed together (2 4-seat tables and 1 2-seat table) just inside the front door. There were 2 men sitting at one end of this table. The only other seating were 2-seat tables and 4-seat tables. We decided to split the group of tables about 10 inches to separate our family from the men. The staff became upset and said we could not move tables because that would block the walkway. The offered to place a chair at the end of one of the 4-seat tables to accommodate our family of 5. Somehow blocking the walkway with a person and a chair makes more sense than giving us a 10 inch separation from two adult men. The food here is usually ok, today we had to ask for items that we ordered that they forgot. The price is average. I do not think we will be back after this experience. read more

Wow talk about major change from just over a month of being here. Wife ordered scrambled eggs got hard fried eggs cut up with knife and served as scrambled. Grease from frying was still apparent. Also I got biscuit and gravy with my meal. And got a rock for a biscuit. Cold at that. And the bacon was not done either well really neither was the sausage done on outside but not in the middle? Cute interior with nostalgic vibes that my dad/grandpa would be able to name all of the people on the wall. The fried chicken sandwich was satisfyingly crunchy and flavorful. The fried okra was fresh and tasty! Not mushy at all. My fiancé had the breakfast platter and said it was really good- overall standard diner fare. The biscuit on the side was a highlight. Avoid the chocolate milkshake- it just tasted like chocolate syrup mixed into vanilla ice cream which was disappointing for a diner that looked like it's shakes would be good. read more

Very solid diner. The decor is typical for that of a diner. Service was very diner like. Food was very much of what is expected of a diner. So I guess there must be a diner hiding in downtown Stillwater. I can't believe it has not been reviewed before. I was there last year and again this time and each time it was crowded. The food was very good and VERY reasonably priced. I had a "small breakfast". It was one egg, two slices of bacon, and two pancakes. That was for under $5. I couldn't believe how fast the food was delivered. The sweet tea wasn't very sweet,but I can't complain about that because you can never please everyone with sweetness. :-) If people don't know about this place, they should. A classic hole-in-the-wall place where the food is super good and the people are friendly. The diner is decorated old school and has cool memorabilia on the wall. Cleaning hose and equipment drug through the middle of the dining area next to food being served. Odor annoying to say the least. Workers walking around spraying cans around and over peoples food while they are trying to cover up the odors. Management should not put the waitresses in the position to deal with the pissed off customer's do to poor management. read more

Rare legit 5-star Stillwater review. Despite being a chain, and being located in Stillwater, this location is top-notch. While Eskimo Joe's is a must visit tourist trap, this place is a must visit for the food, which is why you only see townies here. Food is made fresh, the price is very reasonable and you get a good amount as well. People in Oklahoma seem to love their fast-food, but there is not really many quality fast-food options, but this is one. Also have excellent catfish and fried shrimp meals. There are several "classic" cafes to eat breakfast in Stillwater but the one with the very best omelettes is the Boomarang. The cooks know how to make an omelette the right way with all of your favorite ingredients cooked separately then placed on the eggs before folding. This is becoming a lost art as it's easier to just cook everything together. The biscuits and gravy are equally delicious. Service is friendly and prompt. read more

We had breakfast at Boomerang in Chickasha OK 5/19/21. We had to wipe our own table down. We were invisible to the waitress for 10 minutes, than she finally took our order & than she left. We ordered the small breakfast, with scrambled eggs, biscutt with gravey, hashbrowns with light oil. Its usually pretty hard to mess up breakfast, but the cook managed it very well. The hashbrowns were way over cooked & greasy, the scrambled eggs were runny & the gravey was lumpy, it was ice cold as was the biscuit. The the waitress opened the door to the kitchen, the floor was filthy with food under the stove, we ate our biscuits & gravey. The waitress brought oyr ticjet so we went to pay, I asked for a discounted ticket as the food was inedible, the waitress was irritated but she discounted it. really good and cheap spot. me and my boyfriend went in here for dinner the other day. you seat yourself when you walk in and the menus are on the table. i got just the old fashion burger with fries and he got the jj burger with onion rings. the fries could have used more salt but his onion rings were very good! the staff was nice and the prices were standard for what you get. they do have half price burgers on monday's and what appears different specials throughout the week. it's a cute little quiet place and i would recommend going. read more

The only thing I can say good about this experience was the waitress at the takeout counter. She was very enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful with finding the food that I wanted on the menu. The food however, was barely Sonic quality. I got the Hamburger Hot Plate. The hamburger patty was extremely greasy and flavorless, and the toast was equally dissatisfying. The fries and roast beef gravy were okay at best. I basically felt like I paid for a Five Guys burger, and got a McDonald's hamburger patty with bland fries and gravy on top. I got a side of mashed potatoes and gravy as well, and again, bland as a raw potato. I remember enjoying high school cafeteria mashed potatoes more than these. I also ordered the fried mushrooms and they were underwhelming as well. It just tasted like dry cheap batter fried in cheap overused oil. I expected a Five Guys/Red Robin food quality experience because that's what I paid for, and I got a Sonic/McDonald's food quality experience.
