The service was fast and my order was accurate, however that's probably the few positives I can say about this restaurant! I pride myself in trying BBQ across the US and this did not live up to the name! The ribs were okay. Not the best I've had but they were seasoned well 3/5 The Brisket on the other hand was terrible! Server was day two of the job so I understand things can be hard. But our food came out cold and it was a nightmare trying to pay. We waited over twenty minutes for our food. Bathroom had forks on the counter and floor was sticky. My wife ordered a turkey club spud and they didn't even have the turkey. They wanted to up charge her for adding brisket instead even though THEY didn't have the menu item requested. The dining room was freezing- and despite being a near empty dining area only one side of the restaurant was being served and it was sooooo slow. My family and I just moved to Stillwater about 2 mos ago and have been learning our way around town and trying some of the new places to eat that we don't usually get to since we've moved from HI. The one thing we were looking forward to was trying some good barbecue. We already tried one place in town and it was a horrendous experience so we decided to try RibCrib since I had seen it driving around town. I know it's a chain so I figured that consistency would be good. And while my family and I have lived on the mainland and have had chain barbecue restaurants before we always like to try new things. We had dinner early because of where we live so we figured it'd be easier to just eat since we were in town. I believe we ate there at 4:45-5. And we decided to hit up RibCrib since it was nearby and wanted a (hopefully) better experience than the other restaurant we went to. When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly hostess, and was pleasantly surprised that it was an actual sit down and take your order restaurant. I've noticed that there are a lot of restaurants that tend to be more cafeteria style which is fine but I find it a bit frustrating when it comes to service. The restaurant was nice and clean and we were greeted quickly by our server, and she took our drink order. Now remember we've never been to this restaurant so I was hoping that she would ask if we'd been there before and make some suggestions on what to order. But nope she just asked if we were ready to order which we weren't especially with so many choices to look at. This is what we ended up ordering: My youngest son ordered the all American burger with mac and cheese as the side. He said that his burger was ok but the bun was super soggy. He didn't eat much of the mac and cheese. He said he was kind of disappointed with the fact that his bun was soggy cause it made his sandwich hard to eat. I ordered a BBQ sandwich with pulled pork on it. While the pork tasted good, the meat was ice cold. Also my bun was soggy as well. And because I didn't know which sauce to put on it I had to wait to ask the server what sauce is what. Cause I didn't want to add a spicy or hot sauce on my sandwich. And I had onion rings instead of chips, and the rings were cold too. One thing - since we had never been to this chain, we had no clue what sauce was what. I mean yes we can read what is on the bottle but what does it taste like? Which is your signature sauce? I had to ask the server which sauce was what? So I didn't accidentally dump hot sauce on my sandwich. I don't like spicy, but my oldest son and husband did. So it really would've been helpful if the server told us ahead of time what sauces were on the table. My husband ordered the create your own combo with choice of 3 meats. He ordered brisket, ribs and links. He picked mac and cheese and coleslaw. He really enjoyed the coleslaw. He said overall tho he was happy with his meal. We always joke that my meal is always the one that gets messed up. That there's always something wrong with it, and a lot of times it takes too long to find someone to fix it. My oldest son ordered the cribfire burger. He said it had the hot links and onion rings. Side was mac and cheese instead of chips. He enjoyed his sandwich except his bun also was soggy. My oldest ordered a soda and everyone else ordered water. Overall the service was ok. But I really wish we were given more information on the menu or heck the sauces since we've never been to this chain. The server seemed rushed but nice. Even if the restaurant was fairly empty. One thing that I didn't get tho is why the server brings the handheld register device to you. It's a bit intimidating because I feel like I'm being judged and watched. It's super awkward. I've never been in a restaurant that does that. Usually they give you your ticket, and then take your card for you to sign and give a tip. It was odd. It's not something I would do if it was my restaurant. Maybe that's just me. I think it would make the customer intimidated on how much tip to give, etc. Overall the food was good. The pulled pork could have been hotter as well as my onion rings. And better communication. But I think we'll be back. We spent about $60 there which is what I expected since it's Barbque. I was contacted after our less than stellar visit and subsequent review, and given a coupon for our next meal by one of the managers. Finally got in one recent Saturday and this was a much much better, more delicious experience! The food had great flavor! My husband got his usual but we both got side salads and they were huge! I ordered the Flying Pig, and even though they were out of turkey, it was great. The chicken was very moist and tasty. Both our orders of fries were cold but that could've been due to us eating this giant salad for so long. I still think everyone is having staffing issues, so if we can all just try to keep that in mind. Waited for food in a near empty dining room for over 30mins and food came out warm-ish, as in... barely warm food. Brisket was mostly fat and salad was mostly cheese. Won't be returning, super bummed. Still paid full bill and tipped cause the server was nice enough, but left most behind. Unpleasant NYE dinner to bring in the New Year. RIP 2021. read more

Awesome barbecue restaurant in Stillwater and near Oklahoma State University! Our waitress was awesome and sweet, she patiently explained everything on the menu, from everyone's favorite St. Louis Ribs to the Southern Fried Catfish Catch. The combos here are a fantastic deal, you get a large stack of meat with your choice of two sides, and it's more than enough to feed several hungry friends! I got the two meat combo with ribs and the smoked turkey. Toss on some of their signature barbecue sauce, and you'll be in meat heaven. They also have a slightly spicy and tangy barbecue sauce, which doesn't compare to their barbecue sauce, but some do prefer it. Give it a try! We ordered delivery because we are home quarantined. I ordered the loaded baked potato with chicken. Loaded meant it was supposed to have butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon and the chicken. No butter, but they gave me several packets of ketchup. Ketchup? For smoked chicken on a baked potato? I had to use my own sour cream and barbecue sauce. Great food, prices and variety of menu. Food is always fresh and hot. Service has always been good every time I've eaten here. Not many bbq places in town but definitely recommend this one! Had lunch with my husband here today, and as usual, I was very satisfied. I usually always pick from one or two items on the menu, but today I chose to try something new. I ordered the pig and bird, and was extremely happy. Delicious, moist, and portion sizes were great. Our server was good, he kept our glasses full without bugging us constantly, and was very friendly. I have to say, that our waiter did make 1 very tiny mistake in my husband's order, but as soon as we mentioned it he ran and Fixed it immediately. Just a simple thing of getting a wrong side. But I mention it because he addressed the error immediately and we had the correct side in a matter of moments. His speed was great so our food was still hot and and delicious. First time in Stillwater and first time at Ribcrib. I realized immediately upon entering it was a chain. Ordered 2-meat platter with sliced brisket and hot links. Brisket was lean and dry, possibly smoked earlier, wrapped in plastic wrap and reheated. Couldn't say. Hot links, side items and beer selection were unmemorable. I'm not sure what's happening lately but what a mess. Ordered online and out of tons of items so finally settled on something and placed the order. Go to the restaurant to pick it up and they let us know they were out of the meat for one of the orders so they said they removed it from our bill. The next day we noticed they didn't remove it from the bill and we were charged so had to go back in. They didn't apologize at all for the inconvenience and just acted bothered. First and last time I visit this location and if the food is typical no others. Had the Dirty Deal. Ribs, pulled pork and sausage. The sausage was excellent. OF course it is difficult to screw up a sausage. The pulled pork was decidedly way , way overcooked. Mushy and watery. Reminded me of baby food. No seasoning extremely bland. The ribs were just about as bad. Again no seasoning of any kind and while the meat should pull off the bone easily, it shouldn't ooze out of the cracks in the crust. I cook better ribs in my oven. Last night was my first experience at Rib Crib and I left feeling just a little unsatisfied and not entirely sure whether I'll return. While I can't fault Rib Crib for their BBQ or the sauces (in fact, I thought both were excellent; the ribs were tender but not overcooked; the chicken was moist and not overcooked; the sauces had a nice kick and weren't overly sweet), but there were a couple things that rubbed me the wrong way. Our server--Hannah--was spectacular. She showed no annoyance whatsoever when I asked her about allergens in certain dishes (she even brought me the ingredient manual). Her enthusiasm and attentiveness were greatly appreciated. I also greatly enjoyed the beans and the coleslaw that came with my meal, which had a nice kick of garlic. But I do have two main gripes: 1) the portions were incredibly meager. For $15 I ordered to two-meat meal (ribs and chicken), but in retrospect it would have been better to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat, Tuesday night rib special. With the two meat meal I received 2 ribs from the narrower end of the rack, and about 1/3 of a chicken breast--no joke. The chicken breast portion was smaller than your average deboned, skinned chicken thigh. The amount of food on my plate struck me as very humble portion considering that for an extra dollar I could have enjoyed endless ribs, and knowing me I would have put away at least 10. 2) My second gripe was with the corn. I understand that corn is not in season in February, but the corn my companion and I were served with our meals was the most overcooked corn I have ever had. No exaggeration. Whenever I overcook corn at home, I am full of lament. But eating the corn at the Rib Crib filled me with dread because even in my most absent-minded moments I've never overcooked corn by SEVERAL HOURS. The corn was mushy, sort of smeary when you bit into it and the innards of each kernel leaked out. It was as though someone had managed to encapsulate creamed corn in the form of corn on the cob. If I had to guess, I'd say this corn was left over from lunch and given that we arrived for an early dinner, we got stuck with it. Again, Rib Crib gets the essentials right (flavor, smoke, tenderness) but they miss the mark a bit on perfecting the experience. Value/cost seems very maladjusted, and the kitchen needs to keep an eye out on quality control, as the corn was only one element of the plate I couldn't bring myself to finish. read more

I love the dinomite chicken salads! This is pretty typical of every rib crib from the jackalopre to the fried ocra. The parking lot is nice and large and it's pretty easy to get a table even during busy times. We experienced a very rude hostess on our last visit, a couple years ago there was hair in my potato salad. Other than that we've had good experiences. read more

With a new student at OSU we are working our way through the Stillwater restaurant scene. So far we've only been a repeat at 2 places. This weekend we tried Rib Crib. Yes, I know it is a chain but there isn't one in KC. It was Friday of game/parent's day weekend so I was fearful we'd have a wait but we walked in around 7:30 and were seated right away. Our waitress was the best, very sweet and helpful. The food was really good. I had the chicken sandwich (I can never remember actual names of what I order!) with cheese on sourdough with a chipotle mayo and it was YUMMY! My hubby had a burger, daughter #1 had the loaded potato and daughter #2 the dynamite salad thing. Everyone loved their food. When we run out of new places to try, we'll be back! read more

Ordered the turkey sandwich with fries, the fries were cold, no drink refill was offered until I was ready to leave. The turkey was cold and cut way too thick.
