Love the vibe. It's not a slick new place. It looks like a bar (which is a good thing). Very narrow and old building downtown so it's basically a long bar with booths along the other wall (and maybe a few tables in between). Recently met some friends here for a weekday lunch. The place was busy with lots of bar-patrons. We all had salads (either the chicken fried chicken salad or the Santa Fe salad). All were huge and none of us finished ours. I might split one next time. I did like the Santa Fe salad (which came with a side of salsa. I would probably order one of their chipotle dressings next time as an add on. Cool place in downtown Stilly. read more

WARNING!!!! NOT ADA FRIENDLY!!!!!! They forgot their customer service abilities here. They could certainly use some help. When we walked in there were two large groups seated, one to the left one in the middle and a dirty empty table to the left. We asked for the dirty empty table to be cleaned and for us to be seated there. The waiter said sure for us to wait outside and he'd get it ready for us. We watched the waiter get talked to by the two large tables and then get moved to our table. Then we got offered the table in the middle by the doors where it's cold. Not the table we asked for. Nor were we asked or informed about the table switch. No they offered to sit us (someone with arthritis) at a hightop or to separate our party (with teenagers) to two booths... how nice of them. When I spoke with the manager she stated they had already promised that table to move over and were in the process of doing so... yet no one was at that table clearing it... we had been standing outside debating to eat there for a minute and it had been empty for a while... and if they had already been promised it, why did the waiter allow us to sit there and offer to clean it for us but then get defensive with his arms crossed in front of it when asked why we couldn't have the table he told us we could have? Do the people that were already there know someone? That would be my guess. You know, we're a pretty well off family... we always tip incredibly well and take care of our service members. I believe in making sure they go home with an affordable wage that night. I believe in being a repeat customer and asking for the same server. We frequent Stillwater often. We love Louie's in Oklahoma City. It's one of favorite places. My daughter applied to OSU for College and one of the reasons was because Stillwater has so many of her favorite places. Louie's being her top restaurant. I'm pretty sure our experience tonight just ruined her ever accepting an offer from OSU because they showed her that people in Stillwater treat people with disabilities like shit and don't hear them or respect them. They tried to seat us at a high top table not once, not twice, but three times... and I walk with a cane, park in handicap parking. I am so disappointed and embarrassed for this Louies location. They are setting a bad name and example for all Louies locations out there and that is not fair. So disability aware!!! This place is NOT ADA FRIENDLY!!!!! They do not take to customers with disabilities very kindly. They do not seem to want them in their establishment Or accommodate them and only seem to want to make them leave and make it difficult for them to be there at all. The manager herself even seemed to discriminate against disabilities because after telling her I had Rheumatoid Arthritis and couldn't sit at a high top she continued to offer sitting us at them. My granddaughter and I ate here tonight. Most times we have pretty good food and service here. IMO what happened tonight was inexcusable. I ordered the Asian salad. It was supposed to have mixed greens, mandarin oranges, slivered almonds, sesame seeds, Chinese noodles and grilled chicken. There was some iceberg lettuce a few noodles and a very small grilled chicken breast sliced. When I showed my waiter what was supposed to be on my salad and what was really on it he really didn't say anything. I told him I was not paying $14 for a little bit of lettuce and a little bit of chicken. He took it back no questions asked. Never said another word about my salad. Did not ask if I wanted something else, fix the salad. Just took it off my bill. Manager who had delivered the salad, never came to apologize or make any compensation at all. My granddaughter ate and I paid and we left. Terrible experience. Granddaughters fries were not fresh either. The place was not as busy as it usually is on Thursday night. Probably the ebst Louie's I've been too. I recently moved from the OKC area. Let me tell you, Louie's always left me with a sour taste in OKC. I was recently talked into going by a couple work associates, so I gave them a try and was glad I did! First, I enjoyed the downtown location in Stillwater. We started with the pretzels and cheese. I found it odd that they don't have regular or beer cheese anymore to dip the pretzels in, but they had queso instead. It worked and I enjoyed it. I would recommend the blackened shrimp tacos also. You get 3 tacos and chips and salsa. You get three small tacos and I felt were perfect portion size for lunch and shrimp was cooked well. Their salsa is a little weak though. Such a great sports bar. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for football. While the place isn't huge it still had lots of TVs and games on! We ordered the wings and some fries. The wings were amazing! Plump and juicy and the bourbon sauce was soooo yummy! The only down was the fries. They are skinny shoestring fries. I'm not a fan of small hard fries, if I'd known that I'm I would have passed on them. All in all it was good. Great wings, beer choices, service and games! read more

The constant crowd early on Saturday evening led me to believe this is a popular stop. Service was fine, though not that welcoming or engaging. Still, this could have been a 4 star rating because of the food, but honestly it was so warm inside the restaurant it was just plain uncomfortable the whole time. The manager was great to check in and, when asked about the a/c, said they had been having a hard time cooling the restaurant below 82 degrees for several days. Seriously, the August evening outside at least had a breeze that made it feel the temp was about the same as the restaurant. We were there for a birthday celebration but couldn't wait to get out of there to finish celebrating somewhere that was cooler. I will probably try this place again but not until the weather cools down or I hear they have addressed the a/c issue. read more

This is a small regional chain and the reviews were good. It's in a cool revived downtown area so street parking is the ticket. Not bad at dinner. I wanted something lighter than a burger so the fish tacos caught my attention. Fried cod. Not the healthiest but it sounded good. They offered chips or fries on the side, so I went with brocoli. They should have steamed the brocoli just a bit more. I do prefer crisp rather than soggy so I still enjoyed. The tacos were great! They were covered with a shredded lettuce/diced tomato, corn, etc salsa/chutney which was really good. The crispy fish stood up to the garnish very well. Came with 2 tacos which was just right for me. PBR was $2 a glass on draft so I decided I was in a PBR mood. Friendly and cute service at the bar was great & fast and perfectly attentive. Went to Louie's for after dinner drinks and to hang out with some people from OSU. We went to Eskimo Joe's first but it was ridiculously busy being grad weekend. It was also a VERY young crowd hanging out there. I know it's probably sacrilegious to people from Stillwater but Eskimo Joes seems like a two story version of a Red Robin restaurant (sorry, don't shoot me). I was pleased to be offered a different option. Louie's fit the bill. Nice, older crowd. Still active but not so loud that we couldn't talk. Drinks were good, service was nice, atmosphere casual and comfortable. Can't wait for my next visit. read more

Great dining! The food was excellent, we were shocked how cheap delicious food cam be! I've been here a few times and always leave full and happy. Inside was a little crowded at lunchtime rush, so we sat outside. It was really pleasant. The waitstaff went out of their way to make sure we weren't neglected out there. The manager even poped out once. There are only a few tables in front of the restaurant. On a nice day do yourself a favor and eat anything off the menu at Louie's!
