I paid $150 for three kids passes to have unlimited rides and 50 arcade tokens. What a rip off! Most of the rides were not working, only one grandson could ride alone on the go carts and the small go carts were a joke. Only two of those cars were barely working The worst part was teenagers at the go carts kept ramming other cars and the young workers would blow their whistle but not do anything about it. I love this place! It's a place that makes you feel like a kid again. We came in on a stormy day and there was only one other couple there. I was excited we had the whole place to ourselves! We decided to opt out of the mini golf because of the weather, but the arcade was plenty of fun. Next time we will come on a nice day so we can't try out the outside activities. The only down side is that the arcade games are pretty expensive, but who can blame them with so few customers. I think they should do a promotional deal for the slow season to get people in there. The family and myself went here for the afternoon to play some mini golf and arcade games. We had a so so experience. The mini golf course is old and could use a renovation. Some of the holes are breaking down and a couple of times we lost our ball into the depths of mini putt hell which appeared to be underneath the windmill. The arcade area looked like it was sort of renovated as there was a food area that I didn't recall from before. Some of the games you can gain tickets for prizes. One of our service complaints was when our son wanted to turn in his tickets. I guess there was only one person that could help redeem tickets even though there were six standing and talking behind the counter. Kind of felt like a union job. Not sure if we'll come back. Oh my I was worried from reading other yelpers reviews but did not share the same opinion. They are the only game in town for fun so I thought if we didn't like it we could head further south on our trip...but I'm glad we stopped! So much fun for the 14, 11, 4 and even 2 yr olds we were with. We golfed, played video games, Rock climbed and go carted (the last two were for the oldest children only). It was clean and service was GREAT! One of the arcade machines didn't give up as many tickets as it said we won so my 11 yr old son walked over to manager and the manager was more than happy to help out. Me and my family were in town and decided to give Boomers a try. We went on a Friday afternoon and parking was not a problem as I expected it would be. The workers at this location were all great and very helpful. You really get a lot for your money when you purchase the cards as they give you additional funds. The games are all very reasonably priced so the kids were able to play plenty of video games and collect many tokens. The outside area was the only thing stopping this review from receiving 5 stars. The go kart area was fine and the kids enjoyed this, however, the smaller kids area was not being supervised and many people, including my family, had to wait until somebody noticed we were present. Also, the batting cages were not working properly as they kept getting jammed and we had to request help several times. We had to run inside to tell staff on 3 different occasions. I would recommend that they keep one staff member outside at all times that way they can monitor these situations Other than that, everything was great. Went ahead and took my girlfriend and a friend for valentines day. We decided to get to get a day pass for $36.99 each unlimited golf,go carts and 100 credits for the arcade. We cruised over to the bar to check out the selection. Ended up getting a pint of 805 with discounted refills. Was highly recommended by staff and overall seemed like the better deal so if we wanted to have a few drinks. No biggie. However the staff failed to mention the bar/kitchen closes at 7pm.. that making it impossible for refills. So after purchasing these cups for the discounted beer ended up being for nothing they told me that I could bring it back tomorrow and get refills. I asked if this was displayed anywhere. No! They don't have any signs they rely on their employees to inform you of everything. So after speaking with a very rude employee (Gabby) about what was happening I went and found a manager for better answers as to what was going on and why I felt I was being finnessed. Gabby was incredibly Rude with her responses / costumer service skills really need work. I asked her for her name before finding her name tag. She told me that's not her name and she put on the wrong shirt. So I asked her for her name and she refused to tell me her name sooo that was that. I went ahead and let a manager know what was happening and she could seem to care less. Over all they gave me $7.40 as like its a free beer on them for the next time I visit and apologized for not informing us. Over all I had fun with golf. But if the employees are involved it was less than entertaining even the guy operating the go carts couldn't be bothered to break a smile or speak to you. So my overall I see why this place has 2 stars on yelp over half the staff needs to be swapped out for someone thankful to not be stalking shelves at Wal-Mart a little customer service and a smile goes a long way. Hadn't been to Boomer's in years, so we decided to go back for a round of mini golf. Walking in, we were impressed with the cafe that had tons of TVs. The games all seemed to be in working order too. Got our clubs and went to play. The course was run down and looks like it hasn't been upgraded or maintained since our last visit many years ago. After finishing our round, we went inside to play some games. I inserted my credit card into the reader to get credits on the game card, and it kept telling me to try again. After several attempts at loading the game card to no avail, we gave up and left. Now we have several $1 charges on our credit card that we'll have to dispute. Beware of this scam. Super disappointed on how I was treated I took my 3 kids and still being understanding that two of my kids and myself were held back from riding there go kart Because staff told them they had no credits on there card i was patient went back to the cashier and resolved why are cards were not loaded went back in line. The prices her pretty good. Tell me a place to have a party. They have a private room for you and your guests. I feel safe having my kids, ages 10 and up, run around without me by their side. The place is okay clean. I believe it's pretty old so it's not going to be perfectly clean. A cute local play park. Put put course looks well kept, the arcade area is of a respectable atmosphere and thank god they serve beer. There is a go-cart track to one side and surprisingly a small lake in the middle of the put put with tiny boats. If you have children this might be worth a visit for you for an afternoon. They really need to upgrade the entire park. I worked here almost 10 years ago and pretty much everything there when I was there, is still there. The place needs a lot of touching up ever since I was still with them. The food has gotten slightly better with a few more choices but it's still amusement park food: frozen, easy, microwaved/deep fried, or "ovened". I came here using a Groupon, and because there is no mini-golfing amusement place like this in my town. Not a bad place to go for some mini golfing fun, but the place could definitely use an update. There were cobwebs in the lamps along the course! Also, the line for go-karting was way longer than it needed it to be; they were only letting 5 or 6 people go at a time when there were clearly several more that could have been used. For 2 kids to take a 5 minute boat ride (which I had a serious case of "OMG I'm a horrible parent!!" once I noticed how GREEN the water was) was $18. Half of it was closed off by buoys. Games were gross and most that we tried didn't properly function. I went in the women's restroom, saw how poor the lighting was, and walked back out. Boomers is a huge disappointment. The arcade is dirty, expensive, and the machines are a joke. The card point system they use is very confusing and it costs a dollar just to get a card. The machines are obviously not maintained. There was a Guitar Hero Machine that looked like someone took a baseball bat to it. I played the DDR machine, I've been playing long enough to be able to pass most songs on hard, well the pad barely registered and the screen was too dark to read the notes. Also, the DDR machine is on such a high difficulty that I failed because I missed a few steps and was only able to complete one song. Lame! We also played the Stacker game, which costs more than $3 !!! At other arcades I've played the average cost is 50 cents. The air hockey game had the puck stuck and we had to call the Attendent over who kicked the machine to get the puck out. I haven't been to Boomers for a couple years. When I went last, they were still using the coin system, and I would say that it was OK, at least I remember not feeling bad when I left. This time, I felt worse leaving Boomers than I did before I went there. I don't want to blame the staff for not engaging me or making me feel welcome, because I feel like they know they work at a terrible place. I refuse to come back here, and it stinks because this is right around the corner from my grandma's house and it would be nice to have a place to go when I visit her. I used to look forward to going to Boomers when I visit her, but I will not come back. Hopefully this place closes down like the RV park next to it. haha read more
