Came here with my son because we were staying at Hampton Inn across the street. This is mostly for batting cages but we came to just play some arcade games. You have to scan a QR code and sign a waiver before entering even if you are not using the batting cage. In order to play arcade games, you have to get a playing card. I got a 200 point card for $20. There aren't too many arcade games but price seemed ok. Forget how many points each games required but was able to play almost every single game they had without using up all 200 points. It's a decent place to kill some time and entertain yourself if you are staying at Motel 6 or Hampton Inn because it's just a few steps away. read more

Super fun spot! We went with four kids, ages 3-8 and had an awesome time. They had beers (bottles and draft), food options like soft pretzels, pizza, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, chips, and a wide array of bottled soda and beverage options. We spent around 3 hours here and it was a the perfect amount of time. We did the arcade games first. The claw games were a big hit, and while we ran through tickets pretty fast there, each child was able to win themselves multiple prizes. We reloaded the cards in $10 increments, with a break in the middle for batting. For the batting cages, the balls pitched in two minute increments, so we were able to share the 20 minutes amongst all of the kids (which was ideal), and they have nice bats and a wide variety of nice helmets in various sizes. read more

This was my first time here (for a birthday party) Very very overpriced. Very little things to do (aside from the bating cages.) which are high priced also. The food is not good. The pizza/ cheese bread tasted like, or was, a poorly cooked frozen pizza. Very small not meant for large parties either. The ranch dressing was also the cheap kind so it tasted really bad. The staff were very friendly. Willing to ask how to improve, which was a plus. Nice little party area. Family friendly, just not family affordable. read more

If you're looking for some fun games to play on a foggy night this spot is for you. I used to play softball and love going to the batting cages. We chose the $20 for 15 minutes unlimited batting. And lots of other games included on top of that. Ping pong, corn hole, fuzeball, janga, etc. I wouldn't recommend going there for the food or beverages as it didn't really look setup for that. Seemed more like a place to bring food and drinks to. The spot is nothing fancy but just some clean good fun. Definitely has a lot of potential. I feel like there's a lot more that can be done with the place. It was a fun time. read more

So this a neat spot to take your kids if you have an extra day in Morro bay. They have soft ball and baseball batting cages, a pool table, a golf simulator, corn hole, and a few other attractions. They also serve food, coffee, and have beer and soda. We hit an hour on the baseball machines and that was plenty for a group of six. I did not get to really try the food or coffee because they close at 8pm and we got there late. Will have to come early and try a little of everything they offer. read more

Walked in on them as soon as they opened on a Friday morning for some coffee, as we were staying at the RV site next door and our coffee maker broke. Only one guy was opening and I don't think he was expecting any guests right away, so he seemed a little disheveled and took him a while to get us what we asked for. Started to think we made a wrong decision choosing a batting cage for our coffee fix. He made one of the best cups of joe I've ever had. If you like dogs, he had a beautiful and sweet dog named Aspen working with him. Coffee = 10/10 read more

Oh man. So, back in the day, Flippos used to be a roller rink. If I had a nickel for all of the stories about good times people had at Flippos, I'd build my own rink. But thats a story for another day. I was at the Santa Rosa skatepark today, and some cat who grew up here in the '90s was there talking up Flippos. I told my kid about it, and that I thought the building was still there. I'd take him by and show him. We get there and it looks like its open for business! But it says batting cages. Whatever, let's hit some balls then. Its like 1030a on Saturday, and the open sign over the door is lit up. All good signs. I tell my kid, come on -- this will be fun. We go inside and there's nobody. Place is deserted. Oh wait, there's a little blonde girl in what I guess was a kitchen? Doing what I guess was some prep work. She was pretty engaged in whatever task she was on. I waved and said hi, she nodded her head in acknowledgement. My kid and I looked around a bit. We went in the back and checked out the cages. We looked at the bottled drinks in the coolers. We picked out bats to hit with. The girl is still in plain view, still doing... something in the kitchen. And then I see it -- on the desk is a little green table tent next to a silver bell that says "please ring bell for service". I looked at my kid and said I guess this is the problem? He looks at me like "dad, no" and I ring the bell. Just one , clear, loud ring. The sign said to. Nothing. I look over at the girl in the kitchen. She looks back, and starts in my direction. Then she stops at some lower counter closer to me that I couldn't see and keeps on working. At this point I'm over it. We put the bats back in the buckets and tell the girl in the kitchen that im not going to beg her to take my money. We left. Needless to say i/we won't be back. My kids friends won't be back. The kids I coach youth sports for won't be back, their parents won't be back either. Maybe it was better when it was just a legend. Thumbs down. read more

Fun place to relive your childhood hitting baseballs at the batting cage! They also have billiards, darts, giant jenga, and cornhole. Some of which is included with the cost of going to the batting cages. The owner is very friendly and they really want to make sure everyone has a fun time! I've made my complaints in the past about this establishment and unbeknown to me they were taken down. Unsure as to why my warning was taken I guess I have to write this again. Staff are friendly, all except for the guy who owns the place. Relatively good food and drinks along with the batting cages and other activities make this a hotspot for our youth in the community. My main reason for having anything to complain about in the first place is the bugs. I've seen a few on the walls near certain regions of the place and thought nothing of it. After leaving this business one afternoon, I found a Delightful earwig in my fountain drink. I will attach a photo ASAP (I have to look in my camera roll for it). All the other good things I mentioned are appreciated, yet I don't think I would come back after this experience, because usually when there is one bug, there is more nearby. read more

My first experience at Flippos was a classic one! Not only did myself and our kiddos have so much fun, the owner Vaughn went OUT OF HIS WAY to make us feel so welcome! When he wasn't having fun chasing the kiddos around, we were spoiled with great food, snacks, and drinks. I had an incident where a baseball hit my hand while swinging, and my ring got smashed on my finger. Vaughn did everything in his power(melted butter was involved) to get my smashed ring off my finger. We laughed the whole way through :) His energy and passion for his business really shined through that day. Thank you Vaughn! We will definitely be back. read more

Great place! Came in tonight with a couple of friends for my buddy's birthday. Everyone was super friendly, especially the owner. The tri-tip is DELICIOUS, so good I went back for seconds! We ate, played pool, spent some time in a batting cage, and generally had a really fun time. I will absolutely be going back again! read more

The staff are so incredibly nice and friendly! We stopped by to allow our boys to try the batting cages and the facility is so clean and offers so many things for them to do. The equipment is in great shape and everything is clean and sanitized. Lots of TVs and a full kitchen and alcohol so this place definitely can accommodate and entertain a whole family. read more

My husband heard on the radio how great the tri tip was at Flippo's so I made the drive to purchase some. When I walked in the place smelled horrible dirty. I went up to the kitchen area where you would order and stood there and nobody came. I noticed a young man flirting with the girl that took care of the batting cages. They were so in to flirting I guess possible customers did not matter. It gave me time to evaluate the kitchen area that had dirty a floor, dirty brooms and mops scattered around. That was all I needed to see. I would not eat there on a bet. Can't get helped anyway. read more

Love having this place local. It just seemed like it could use a little tlc. I think they are still in "soft opening" mode so maybe there are some bigger plans to finish it off. It took 10-15 minutes to get the pitches coming in right so that came off the total time we payed for. That was ok- we had a great time and played pool before we left. Families beware, I took my wife and kids to enjoy the day at Flippos for my son's birthday. We'd had such great times there as a kid and were looking forward to seeing it again. The owner (tall bald guy) at first was friendly, but that changed within the first three minutes. The quick switch in his demeanor was rather concerning. We were standing at the counter to pay for the batting cages, wearing our masks as requested per the sign on the window when he said in a serious tone, "You and your family are weirding me out with your masks and sunglasses. I can't do business with you." We were so appalled and surprised. I wish he was joking. Isn't this a pandemic and are we not at the beach? As my family was walking out the door he said, "There goes a bunch of winners." Seriously, who says that to children, especially being the owner of a family establishment? Very sad! My wife and I were so disappointed in the return of Flippo's not only because of the experience, but it wasn't that great inside either. Needless to say, we will not be returning and hopefully no one else will have this experience. read more
