i went on wednesday night with a group that included 2 kiddos (age 4 and 10). it was everyone's…read morefirst time and we didn't have any expectations, but it turned out to be really fun. the golf course is halloween themed with scary props, zombies and ghosts that jump out, spook or sing. luckily, these kiddos weren't scared. the lil one was distracted but we were all able to play. there are 16 holes total and you can score points online by scanning a QR code. everyone got a club appropriate for their size and got to choose a colored ball. the course starts off simple and then gets more clever and challenging. there's also some arcade games and an air hockey table out front. the arcade games are mostly racing or shooting games. the plus is that it's free/included with admission (except for the pinball machine and claw machine games. however, some games were old or broken. a bonus plus is that they allowed ins and outs as long as we had a receipt. we played for an hour and paused midway to step out and grab food. we came back an hour later and were able to continue golfing. overall, a fun wholesome night. the golf course is dimly lit and can get chilly. kids under a certain age are free. admission is priced separately for adults and kids. plenty of parking.

Blackbeards definitely needs a facelift and general renovations, specifically regarding the arcade and food offerings. I also found the $35 wristband price to be high given the current selection of available attractions. While the miniature golf course remains in good condition, it is disappointing that the water slides are no longer operational. The pool area still looks sparkling clean and well-maintained, yet it remains inaccessible to guests. I discussed this with the workers and they stated that there are no plans to reopen the slides. If so, I suggest utilizing that space for something new to better serve their visitors. Blackbeards has a great deal of potential, and I look forward to seeing the improvements that could take place in the coming years.

I LOVED that place as a kid. And Lucas and I have been hoping that seeing them working on it means they are getting it up and running again. Well, today there were 3 cars out front on the way home so I decided to stop in! Unfortunately, my childhood mini golf course is not coming back to life. BUT the owner invited me in to check out the new events venue THE PAVILION! And it is pretty dang cool. It will be completed soon and is open to book for weddings and any other types of events! He is also hoping to (possibly) host a concert summer series out by the old bumper boat pond and an Octoberfest (starting next year) with beer and venues at each of the 18 holes (). So it might not be a resurrection of the miniature golf course like we'd hoped, but it's still pretty exciting to have something local hosting some fun events! The place looks amazing and a great view for any event! My review obviously is not based on an experience of hosting an event there, but the owner was really cool and the venue itself is pretty awesome! Definitely something to check out

I used to come as a child, and this place has come a long ways since then. There are a dozen or more little exhibits of childhood nursery rhymes (such as Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and Jill), each has a box you can put a key in (mine from my childhood still worked) and hear the story in English or Spanish. All of the boxes we tried worked. Some of the exhibits are just things you look at, some include things like slides or other things for kids to play on. There's also a castle and a pirate ship (one of the new exhibits). There's a train, which costs extra and is ok, but they need to clean up the area it goes through, it could be a lot nicer. There's also a small snack bar. All in all, this is a really great place to bring kids under about 7. It was not busy at all the day we were there, which surprised me because our kids had so much fun!

So many areas where brick borders are in disrepair. Broken out of place trip hazards because they arent cemented in. No fountains working. There were shimmers in the water ways cleaning them. Leaves and trash around no number boat fountain everything just looks worn down. The speaker system sounds terrible. How can you expect to have people go there with things so poorly taken care of. I just remember other places that are way more appealing. I wish there was a better spot for families where someone actually cared.

This is a 9-hole course and you really only need a few irons and a putter to play here. Which makes it great for practicing your short game and getting a game with friends. This course does get busy, so I would recommend booking your tee time a few days early. There's no clubhouse here, just a small office that has canned beers, snacks, tees, and other golfer needs. This course is small enough to walk so they offer both push golf carts and traditional motorized golf carts. They even have electric golf scooters which look very fun to drive. This course is fun play, but the grounds here have seen better days. If you hit your ball anywhere, but the fairway or the green you're hitting mud or compacted dirt. If this course was closer, I'd most likely play it more often.
