The house is privately owned and it's where many of the things from the Liberace Museum now reside. The tour I took was lead by Jonathan Warren, an expert on the life of Liberace. He's also is an expert in describing the Liberace items in the mansion. The tour lasted three hours and was very informative. The whole hacienda is not covered but the section closest to Palomino Lane is where the Liberace memorabilia is located. Reservations must be made for the tour. I was the only person yesterday because some that were scheduled needed to change their tour date. It was a fantastic tour. I had been to the Liberace Museum before it closed, but I never would know what I do now because of Mr. Warren's encyclopedic memory!

Standing there with his happy little face (I am guessing it's a boy cat, but who knows?), it's a total mood lifter amid the city's neon chaos. Snowball is an unofficial city mascot, especially to those of us creative types who frequent the downtown Arts District. Perfect for a quick selfie or just to take in some fun street art, Snowball's got a playful energy that makes it impossible not to smile. His tongue is sticking out and his squinting eyes have the cutest expression ever (and one that most cat parents will recognize). Snowball's oversized ears are the icing on the cake.  I love public art and I personally think it's worth the trip downtown to pay Snowball a visit. It's a fun, quirky statue that's free and open to all, 24/7.

We were driving down Fremont Street towards The Fremont Experience when I commented on how beautiful the lights are... some are suspended across the street in a zigzag fashion and other lights come from neon signs... I've wanted to come here for years and finally made it! We had a great time and what a thing to…read moresee. I've lived in Vegas my whole life, and to see the history right in front of you is really cool. I learned quite a few things, like the fact that Debbie Reynolds had a hotel! Even the lobby is a part of history. I was thoroughly impressed. We did the move tour with Ryan, and I think the experience was absolutely worth it. We learned a lot of things and he had a great personality, which made it even better! We did a 7:30pm ticket and walked around the loop before meeting in the lobby for our 8:30pm tour. We were done somewhere around 9:15ish and did a little more walking, then we hit the gift shop. They had a museum nerd keychain that I absolutely had to have. They also have other cute stuff like that. This was a great experience and I absolutely recommend you try the tours!

After taking the daytime tour several years ago, I finally came on the nighttime tour!…read more A few things had changed since that last tour, mainly that people can not roam freely around the lot. I'm honestly not sure I like that, but I get it for those who want a self-guided tour. The tour sometimes clashed with the regular guests, though. The good thing is you can come back for pictures after the tour, which is a nice touch. They have a place to sit and relax outside, which I don't remember from before. While it was cool to see the signs lit up at night, I think the day tour had more history. The night tour didn't spend much on unlit signs. Some of those have cool stories that I missed this tour. It also just might be that there is so much history that they need part 1 and part 2! And honestly, I wouldn't mind paying again if there were 2 different tours. I was a little sad that I missed seeing the Mirage sign by 2 days! It was there, but still under wraps. I've since seen pictures of it online, but it's different in person. Our tour guide was awesome! As in super great. Loved him.

It's been decades since the last time I visited the Fort. I'm impressed with the improvements. I…read morevisited the Fort for the Pollinator event, so there was much to see and experience. The museum displays are educational and interesting. The koi pond and walking trail is very pleasant. There are established fruit trees and a garden area. The tortoise were in their shelter within the habitat, so I didn't get an opportunity to see them during my visit. I would look forward to attending more events here.

According to the plaque, it describes the novel as "the amazing adventures of Priest Xuanzang and his three disciples, the irreverent monkey, the greedy but lovable pig, and a hardworking river goblin as they go on the journey in search of Buddhist sutras." Furthermore, "In spite of all the trials and tribulations along the way, they are successful in reaching their goal" which is "the Palace in Western Heaven where the Buddha lives." It's a rather interesting story and the sculpture is a lovely representation of the novel!

Beautiful statue of depicting the 5 main characters from Journey to the West (西遊記) in the Las Vegas…read moreChinatown Plaza. Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Tang Sanzang, Sha Wujing, and White Dragon Horse. Although Las Vegas Chinatown is very tiny, this statue makes it unique for this specific Chinatown. As a Chinese kid growing up a big fan of 西遊記 and watching different adaptations of the story, this statue is most definitely worth taking pictures and videos of.
