It's hard enough the financial strain…read moreon your family going from being a provider to being useless but if you think you will be treated with dignity and respect when you need to turn to the SSA after years of paying into it, you are DEAD wrong. The people who work here despise you. They do not want to help you. They will hang up on you if you have too many questions. They have an attitude from the moment they answer the phone because they do not care about you and if you hint any frustration with the way THEY treat YOU, they are hanging up on you. I didn't know it at the time but was later diagnosed autistic, I sometimes need a little more clarity on certain things or written instructions. They do not like this because they do not like to be helpful and compassionate and will get frustrated with you for needing something repeated because to them YOU ARE NOT a HUMAN being, you are just some bum trying to get government assistance and that is how these people specifically at this office will treat you. It's too bad but this is the reality of being disabled in America. My case has been denied. I lost everything, my apartment, my car, my family because I couldn't get any help from these people. I pray that God helps these people find some grace inside themselves and learn human compassion. And I pray for the disabled that need help during hard times. If anyone knows a good SS lawyer to help me reapply please let me know.

I've witnessed the women here be so rude , yelling at people trying to get their benefits or things in order. The whole office just looks at them as they yell their business out . Some of the men here seem way more compassionate and respectful. It's outright degrading these people. Specially the woman at station 5 and 8 are the ones who I heard just being completely mean. Seems like the guy at 18 is very nice and sweet and helpful from what I've witnessed the 3 hours here.

She asked to look the card, asked if I knew my pin and keep saying I didn't add my pin ...she void pymt and redone but she keep looking at machine what I was doing and I told her I could tap, she said they don't accept tap..she keeping look and I had to tell her that I will not let her see my pin # and I covered with my hand like I always do. It seems like neither one of the two offices wanted to file the report. Finally, after the Chatsworth Police Department rejected the online police report for jurisdiction reasons, the financial crimes Department in Las Vegas informed me that they could file a courtesy report and fax it to the Chatsworth division. My uncle and I arrived when they opened and there were already two couples ahead of us. The sign on the door indicated they opened at 8:00 am, but the online website indicated that they opened at 9:00. By 9:10 a.m. we were being helped. They had us go inside of the glass door to file the report with one of the women who appeared to be training the other young lady who was working the front window. It is a little frustrating to see three or four employees assisting one person instead of opening more windows, but oh well.

I had to go to a police station w/all of my proof of car insurance and that the car is in fact mine etc. Then I spoke w someone and they said I had to go go a DMV wait over there and get an appointment etc. I guess I lucked out bc I waited in line for a bit w no appt and got a brand new license plate and was able to walk out w a new one. The lady was very helpful at the police dept so although it was a bad experience and it was a long day, it was a decent experience at the LVMP.

But,they allow this?? A person wearing a 666 sun hat and tee shirt, making soup with his hands!! Sure. Why not... And, another thing!! Those worker-bees that act like they are almost God like and irreplaceable... Listen up! You are replaceable.. After watching the way you handled yourselves.. The way you DIDN'T take care of people in a timely manner! The way you thought you were entitled to a 30 minute break between every person you "processed or interviewed!! The way you performed your job wasn't very up to par! Or WAS IT for a state run operation?? If you worked just a TAD quicker, and actually cared just a TAD more.. Your job may be even a TAD more enjoyable and rewarding.. You're all a disgrace to every taxpayer of this state who, as we know, pay your wages.. I'd love to see if there's anything we can do to change that in some way...

I was told that I would have to come back the next day at 7am because that is when they start seeing people and they can cut that off at any time during the day. Mind you, this is while there are at least 10 counselors sitting at their computers, chatting with each other, helping no one. It really sucks that the people in this city have to go to people like this that clearly could care less.
