I am a Happy Camper!!! Just before a trip to the beach in our camper we discovered the back AC was not working. I looked through Yelp and found Boondocks Mobile RV Service and messaged them. They called me a set up an appointment quickly. A little backstory...We've had our new fifth wheel for a year and a half and we are are still new campers. We have always taken our camper back to the dealer to get it fixed and months later finally get it back with something else wrong. No joke! it's happened numerous times. The last time we took it in they had it for 6 MONTHS. I had to cancel so many trips which cost us deposits. I tell this story because I never knew I could had Boondocks come to me!! I am sooooooo happy! Boondocks came out next day and found my AC was done in. We have an extended warranty so it was covered, but unfortunately for our beach trip we had to wait until the AC could be sent to them before they could install it. We did okay with one AC and then Hurricane Dorian ruined the second beach weekend (but not really, as it didn't hit us). As soon as the new AC was in they came out and installed it quickly. I asked them if they could fix a blind that had fallen and a few other things and BAM! it was all done. They really know their stuff and get down to work. I found the technicians knowledgeable, courteous and they cleaned up everything from the repair. For the first time in a year and a half our RV has nothing wrong or broken. I would also like to say that within the first 10 minutes of Nate checking out our RV on the first trip out he taught me things I didn't know about my camper! I took my recently purchased RV to them for a blown tire repair. They repaired that and I told them I had other things that needed repair also, such as, the hot water heater did not work on A/C but would on gas. I had a list of items for repair that I texted to there office girl, Jasmine. I had a 5 year warranty for the RV so the repairs would be covered. I also texted Jasmine copies of my warranty card. I dropped the RV off on Sunday when Nathan, the owner, was working there. He assured me that everything would be repaired when I picked it up. My boss was with me and witnessed the whole encounter. Nothing could be farther from the truth. They had my RV for over 200 days and when I got it back nothing was repaired as promised by Nathan. In fact there was more damaged caused by several hurricanes while they had it in their possession. I have witnesses and documentation to prove this. Nathan lied to me face to face. I did nothing to warrant this kind of treatment. The only mistake I made was bringing my RV to them for repair in the first place. I thought they were a reputable company but they are not. This company totally wasted our time... Two months of it. We called them to come check out a few things on our rig the second week of March. They said they were going to order some parts and get back to us. We didn't think it was a huge deal because we planned to stay in Tampa for a couple of months. After no word in two weeks, we called to check in. "Still waiting on parts." Two more weeks passed and... "Still waiting on parts." Two weeks until we were about to leave... "We still can't get the motor for your steps and we won't be making it out there for any of the repairs." What the hell guys??? My husband ordered the step motor and got it in 3 days and will be replacing it himself. Now we are left to find a company in the Jacksonville area that won't waste our time and screw us over. If you're staying on MacDill AFB and are in need of repairs, try some of the other mobile repair people you see driving around the park. This place is the BEST! Customer service is outstanding! We took our travel trailer there for repair and Sonny kept in contact with us weekly if not daily to keep us updated on part orders. It was an insurance claim and he worked diligently to get our TT repaired in a timely manner. When we got it back, he went through all the service work with us to make sure we were satisfied. We were very happy with the results. Jasmine was very friendly and listened to our concerns. The employees were all helpful. We are going to use Boondocks again for other repairs and upgrades! I had a refrigerator issue on my 2020 Reflection. It wasn't switching from electric to gas. Technician responded and determined it to be a main board issue. He returned two weeks later to install the new board. It still didn't work. The technician determined it to be the igniter coming from the board to the gas chamber. They charged me another service charge on the return date, which they say they don't do, because it was separate issue. I told them it wasn't like I need them to fix the AC or Oven. It was the same problem with the refrigerator and the gas issue. The technician spoke to the owner, I requested to talk to him and the owner refused. I left a message for him to call back and he never did so. Very poor business practices. I would NOT recommend this business. read more

Our water lines were chewed by a rodent in our Motor home. A mobile repair guy came to our home charged us for doing nothing and let us know the job was too involved for him. A friend recommended Boondocks and we are so glad she did. We were able to take the MH in the same day and two weeks later the job was done along with repairing another issue we had. We paid almost $2000 to have them go over our 2020 Cougar 5th wheel before a trip. We asked to have everything gone through and $$ was not an issue. we also wanted to reattach some wheel siding on the side that was loose and fix some of the interior moulding that was loose and some sensors. We wanted new batteries installed for our long road trip. We picked up the 5th wheel and was told it would be cheaper for up to go and get our own batteries to install. We wanted them to do this not us. The following night when we got to our first destination the majority of the interior mounding and trims fell down. The exact items we pointed out for repair. The lights to be fixed did not work nor the outlet we asked to have repaired. The side mounding by the tires had massive screws they put in that worked loose in the first 300 miles that we had to stop and repair our selves. We could go on with multiple other issues We called from the road and have never had a call back from them. We purchased this 2020 Montana 3781 5th Wheel and will be full timing so we wanted some additional items installed after our purchase so we could really live in this RV. Nate, the owner, has over 20 years of experience of working at two different large RV repair shops and decided to start his own business. Nate did the following for us on our 5th Wheel: Used Cummings Onan 5.5KW Generator Install; Second layer of sealant on roof; RV Dishwasher Install; Dish Satellite Antenna Install; Internal & External security camera mounts Install; Winegard Gateway Wifi Router Install; Ceiling Trim Repair; Found water leak underneath RV which was just a loose overflow valve that he tightened; TPMS install on my GMC 1 Ton Dually. Because Nate knew we were newbies with this 5th Wheel and going to be Full Timers, he was so generous with helping us understand the do's and don'ts on so many issues. He checked our RV batteries, brakes, tanks, etc without hesitation. I know this is a long review but Boondocks Mobile RV Service deserves credit for helping us get into our new home. Like I said, there is nothing Nate can't do. The only problem I found is that he is so busy that sometimes it's hard to get on his schedule. Wish I could give them a lower rating. My motorhome kept popping a circuit breaker. I called them, they sent Nathan out. He looked at it estimated $2000 repair. The first time he "fixed" it. He was not packed up before a whole wall lost power. He said it was fixed. A week later the same wall lost power again. For a second time he came out and said it was fixed. When Ian hit. The same wall again lost power. I made an appointment once again. This appointment was changed by them twice, the last time I was not informed. So the next time he came out he said he had to put in another 10ft of wire and it would take an hour. Imagine my surprise when the "new" estimate wanted and extra $800. i recently purchased a travel trailer from a local rv dealer. the dealer was unable to address a warranty concern prior to a planned out of state trip, so they referred me to Boondocks RV Repair. after some coordination, they were able to squeeze me into an already full schedule, trying to get me squared away for my out of state trip. today i met the technician, and i can't say enough positive things about the experience. he communicated with me on his way to my location (yes they came to where my trailer was parked) and once he arrived, he got straight to it. he examined the trailer and quickly set out to repairs. once the repair was complete, he also took the time to walk around the trailer with me and answer questions, provide service recommendations and listened. in today's business environment, where personal service is shunned, Boondocks RV Repair delivered. First time RV camper. The power goes out - battery not charging. No AC. Carbon Monoxide detector beeping. Boondocks truck just happens to be driving by my site as they leave another job. They took the time to figure out what was actually wrong and replaced a blown inverter fuse for us. Given our inexperience and anxiety level they could have taken advantage of us. Instead they were friendly, efficient, replaced the fuse and refused to take any money for it. I hope that I will never need their services again, but if I run into problems, they have a customer for life. read more

I saw this company at a booth at the Tampa RV show and had "Nate" come out to my RV for an estimate on an repair. That was LAST FRIDAY!! I called the booth back and got a different person to answer the phone and she said I wasn't in the system but she was rotating with the guy from the day before and she would look into it. Setup an appointment several weeks in advance and I specifically told I had a small leak on the outside corner of my slide that I could see and I needed it sealed long enough to get home in one month. They called the night before and although we were the first appointment of the day in a park close to their office they got lost and was 1 hour and 10 minutes late. When they arrived I pointed out specifically the work I needed done and they got up on the RV and was checking out everything except what I needed. I told them I was fully aware of all these very minor issues and I had an appointment booked in 6 weeks up north to complete some dicor work and these items but I needed the area on the slide that was clearly leaking sealed. Without doing any actual work they handed me a large invoice for service charges and said they needed to return to the office to get repair materials and send me an estimate for the repairs. I said fine I would be waiting. So they didn't carry a tube of cleaner and sealant in the repair van and couldn't do 15 minutes of work? They never did send me the estimate or return my calls so we wasted an entire day for nothing. I have used a number of similar services over the years and I do understand this is their busy season but there is no excuse for this. Plan to go to Lowes and buy a ladder, fix it myself and then find someone that needs a new ladder. Very very disappointed read more

Awful. I spoke with Nate at MacDill Air Force Base regarding work needed on my RV. He gave me his card and told me to call the office. I did. They scheduled a visit by Nate 2 weeks later. He showed up and said no problem, he could fix our unit. He needed to order 2 parts. I told him we were on a timeline that could be extended 1 week if needed. He felt the parts would be in on tIme. I watched him email his office to begin the work order. He told me I would receive a call the next day to confirm parts/scheduling. No call. I waited until the following Wednesday (after Memorial Day) and called the office. I was told they were working the bid. I told them no bid needed we wanted the job done and we were on a timeline of 2 weeks that could be extended 1 week. I was told they would call me THAT AFTERNOON to confirm. It is now 2.5 weeks later and no call back. Horrible way to treat cash customers and no way to run a business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIRM. read more
