Spare tire compartment cover with water.

DO NOT GO HERE. I am completely and utterly disgusted with how OTC runs business. I had my car detailed here and now it is not running at all. An abundance of water was found in the engine totaling my car since the engine is now not functional and the cost of repair exceeds the value of my car. I had been in close contact with Paul the owner regarding this situation and now they are NOT willing to work with me to resolve my mechanical issues. As an excuse, they stated that my lack of knowledge concerning my car is reason for the damage. If you want your car to run properly, do business somewhere else.

Not sure what all the fuss is going on here on Yelp or why Tampa Triumph is getting below a 4-star…read morerating here, but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. With that being said, I can only offer my perspective in why I think Tampa Triumph deserves your business. I was very much excited to discover that there was a Triumph dealership in Tampa during my transition to my new job. Living on the Hillsborough-side of Lutz, Tampa Triumph is the closest Triumph dealership and service being ideally situated on the southbound side of Dale Mabry Highway (580). (For those of you who are concerned with chaos that is Dale Mabry, the dealership is perfectly situated about 700 feet after a traffic light, with a low median that separates the north bound and south bound lanes, and a dedicated left/U-turn lane no more than 200 feet as you are leaving the dealership). The dealership itself has a smaller parking lot in which most of it is occupied by the motorcycles - if the lot is full, consider potentially parking right before at the Dunkin Donuts (not sure how much of sticklers they are when it comes to parking) with the understanding that these lots are NOT connected. Tampa Triumph has a great compliment of motorcycles, but moreover, a very friendly and inviting staff. The store maintains a very neat and clean display and presentation as you enter it. It's simple, but you'll find what you need there. Aside from motorcycles, you can literally find Triumph Motorcycle's seemingly entire clothing line on the shelves (quite the variety), along with helmets (majority of these seem to be Arai) and other accessories. The staff was more than friendly and very pleasant to converse with, creating a very laxed and chill atmosphere - this is definitely should be the standard for Triumph dudes and dudettes. Being a Triumph Motorcycle owner already, I came here to get my motorcycle serviced (although it never hurts to window-shop for another bike, and boy did that Thruxton sitting in the front looked appealing). Calling ahead, the store/shop was incredibly responsive and on-point. I spoke with several different individuals, but ultimately it was Chris and his apprentice, Kevin, who worked on my motorcycle. I was more than satisfied with the work done. Sure, the annual service along with the other work I had done costed a pretty penny (I assure it'll be the same elsewhere across the country), but it was thorough and reliable considering the feedback I received back from Chris. Never have I seen a technician hustle and move like that with a sense of direction and purpose in mind. Throughout the servicing period, Chris was extremely transparent and communicative which is extremely important to me as a client. Chris explained the requirements and lifecycle of certain items, providing his professional guidance in terms of when these should be replaced which gave me the decision points that I need to prolong the life of my motorcycle. He kept me updated on the progress of the bike and worked with me after the fact when it came to the pick up of the motorcycle that worked around my schedule. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and content with Tampa Triumph, and confident in their knowledge and abilities to help me with my motorcycle needs! If you're in the market for a motorcycle and looking for something unique that stands out in any motorcycle scene - whether it be a starter or something more robust (like a Daytona or Rocket) - I definitely recommend stopping in at Tampa Triumph. And if you are looking to get your Triumph maintained, Chris will definitely take care of you here!

Consider before buying anything there, that my ATV was…read moreput on the back shelf for 4 months- excuses such a as, from the owner Mark: "We had two brand new Yamaha Jetskis that blew their engines, so we dont have time to work on your ATV!", "You're ATV is an antique (presumably to bully me into buying a new $10,000 one instead of fixing mine)". After being nice to him- "if you don't like waiting, you can come and get it!". 4 months. Slams, disrespect, the word that comes to mind about Mark starts with an A. THEN... they finally finish, or so they say- and I ask them to deliver it, hoping to rescue it from their evil clutches, and, Dale tells me the delivery driver will call me before he drops it off, because we have to immune deficiency people here, and children, and he needs special instructions not to park at the house on the property- but, does he do that? No. He just shows up. He parks right next to the house, then he unloads. Prior to saying "sure, deliver it" I made sure to ask him, since he said it was fixed, to run it through the gears: "sure, we'll run it through the gears for you before we deliver it". I thanked him. When it arrived, it would not go in gear, and the person delivering it would not drive it. I wondered why not... I didn't have to wonder very long. He finally said he would adjust the clutch, after replacing the clutch. But thats not the end of it. I test drove it down the gravel road, and then parked it. The next day it would not start, it just went blank. No green light, then it decided to come on the next day, but it won't turn over now. My advice: don't buy anything from people like these and expect them to care one bit about you as a customer. I hope that this stops people from being ripped off by these spiders, that lie in wait for some poor saps to come in just so they can dump on them and control them. It's up to you.

I took my Suzuki to this repair shop when it was on 41 in Land o Lakes. He fixed my brakes and I…read morethought he was an honest, hard working mechanic, and a nice guy. Forward, 2 years, I need my brakes and fork seals done on my HONDA Shadow, but he's moved to a new location and tells me this very sad story of being ripped off by his own family member, and having to move locations and he has no money to buy parts and doesn't even have a home (staying in a hotel) so I feel badly for him, and give him the money up front for the job via Bank of America transfer, and He does my brakes and fork seals. And asks if he can please do work on my other bikes as he needs money to live on. My husband and I have 6 bikes between us so we decide to go ahead and get all our bikes worked on... get them all in tip top shape and help someone in need at the same time... Long story short, this man: RICHARD DUNCAN, we find out later, is "borrowing from Peter to pay Paul" as the saying goes, and by that, I mean he's taking my money and using it for something OTHER than repairing MY bikes. He had my 4 other bikes and $1100 of my money and I STILL had to take my bikes to someone else to get them properly repaired (!) one of which he talked me into bringing to him, which had electrical issues (2000 Yamaha vStar 1100), and Richard assured me he would find out the trouble, and fix it in time for bike week. In fact, it was getting close, he tells me if I gave him $350 he would work on his day off, Sunday, to get it done. Im desperate and getting anxious so I transfer the $350. Not only does he NOT work that Sunday ( had another sob story about getting sick but couldn't refund my money), but another week goes by, and the bike is still in the same condition and he's had this bike for 5 WEEKS and each time we go by to see what progress he's made it's lying in many pieces and looks like it did the previous week. He DID NOT GET IT DONE IN TIME FOR BIKE WEEK, and had no apologies for that either. So our out of town guest who was supposed to ride that bike to Daytona with us had to rent a Harley. We were finally fed up and went to pick up the bike and had to load in to to the trailer in those many many PIECES He didn't even bother to put it back together, and He was RUDE, NASTY and MEAN, And in our frustration, we left our tie downs at home, so we asked to borrow his, and would return them the next day, he WOULD NOT help us load the bike up, and would NOT loan us his tie downs!!! He was guilty of taking our money for nothing in return when we've been nothing but kind to him, yet HE turns on US!! When I'd catch him in a lie and call him out on it, his reply was "I'm not gonna argue with you" as if I was the unreasonable one. Even as we were taking our bike back in pieces we were still cordial, but he was the opposite. Richard Duncan comes off as a simple, kind, good hearted old man ( always talking about how honest he is), meanwhile he steals from his customers. One of my bikes that supposedly had the fork seals done and for which I paid in advance for the parts and labor, two weeks later were leaking fluid again, indicating the fork seal job he did, FAILED or was never done in the first place, so, I took it to my Auto mechanic who also knows bikes but prefers to work on Cars ( and whom I've known for years and whom I'd TRUST with my children) and he tells me "I'm sorry to tell you this but these fork seals were never done! This crook put some kind of goop inside instead of actually doing the job" so I paid him 225 for fork seals but instead, he bought some $12 can of goop instead of replacing the seals and pocketed my money. And when I ( several times) asked for receipts for all his so called repairs , he kept telling me they were in the mail. When they never arrived in the mail, my husband and I went to his garage to get those receipts, and not only would he NOT give us receipts, but he kicked us out of his garage, saying "GET OUT!" then says we never paid him for his work!!! ( that was for the benefit of someone who walked in behind us, and he was probably stealing from them and didn't want them to catch on). But, I have all the bank transfers recorded for each time he cried to me about needing money to buy parts for my bikes and I transferred hundreds each time... To the tune of $1450.00 total, plus I would tip him $20 here and there, feeling like he only had money for parts and might not have enough for food. I was the Sucker!!! If even one person reads this and is saved from RICHARD DUNCAN'S LOWLIFE THIEVERY, I'll be happy. I'll be reporting this also to the BBB.
