Unlike every other pilate studio in Houston, they are extremely rude and do not communicate properly when it comes to parking directions or their attendance policy, especially when it's not due to purposeful factors. I walked to the door at approximately 12:01 due to construction and terrible parking that they didn't warn clients about. My GPS said I would be there on time so this isn't a personal issue of getting there late. Annabelle, who was the instructor, made a comment about "next time, be here on time" which was extremely insensitive. She wasn't helpful at all or understanding. I recommend OneSweat or Happy Hour where parking is best even when it's a full class. If you only have 2 spots for pilate clients, how do you expect clients to be there on time? Learn how to be nicer, you don't know what kind of days people are having. read more

It's a small shopping center but never had any issues finding parking so that's a bonus. Class Pass was used to book my class. Equipment is always well maintained and everything is in order. Sometimes the instructors can be difficult to understand but that maybe just be a Gen Z thing (just kidding). Overall it's a good workout and you feel good after you leave there. Stopped in here for a change of Pilates scenery. I bought the three class pack. I really enjoyed this studio! Teachers are very informative and thorough during class. Classes can be booked through the MindBody App and you're sent alert reminders about class ahead of time. I don't love the parking situation, hence the four stars. Ok so towards the end I was thinking to myself "this feels more like a HIIT workout, mixed with Pilates" and at the end of class Sky announced that she also teaches HIIT classes haha so that makes sense! It was the most intense Pilates class I've been too (only my 5th class) and it is not really beginner friendly. Loved loved loved this Pilate class. Emily was super nice and welcoming for my first class. She came up to me and helped out when she noticed I was struggling. Pilates is definitely harder than I thought and I've been working out at the gym for 3 years and lift pretty heavy. It is a couple dollars more expensive than other places I've tried but the vibe and environment is super welcoming. I'm definitely coming back ! Love this Pilates studio! Get ready to have your butt handed to you with a smile. The instructors are amazing and are constantly cuing the next movement. Sometimes I'm a little lost because I'm pretty new at Pilates but there's also someone in the studio to reference. The workouts are always tough and you can make adjustments based on your experience or difficulty preference. No matter how "easy" I make it on myself, I always question whether I have any abs The studio is spacious and clean with great natural light. The reformers all look new and in great shape. The only odd thing when you're going for the first time is that the outside doors lead directly into the studio; there's no waiting area so you have to wait outside. When I went the first time, I didn't know that was the setup so when I opened the doors, I was interrupting a class that was in session. It was super embarrassing and awkward. I'm writing this review in hopes that the owner Karen Hunt sees this. I was eager to start my Pilates journey with Boost. The heights location was just a few minutes from home and it the studio came highly recommended from my esthetician. She said I just had to try Abby's class because she brings the energy. So I signed up for a membership and on 12/20 at 2:30pm I was ready for a killer workout. However, the workday slipped away and next thing it's time for class and I'm deep in emails. I called the studio and there was no answer, but I immediately received an automated text message. I was asked for my name, location and how I booked. I answered all of the questions. A few minutes later, I received a phone call from a representative at boost. His name is Jason. He called to say that he was driving and can't open his computer to assist me. I was completely taken aback with his tone. He was rude and flustered. Things escalated when he raised his voice at me and said he wasn't going to pull over on the side of the road to open his computer and I can cancel my membership. I was speechless. I got off the phone shaken. Maybe it was because this man was harsh and unprofessional and most importantly unprovoked. I thought if this is how the customer service employees operate, I sure the studio community won't be a safe and inclusive facility. Jason dominated the conversation and I didn't say much because I was in shock. At no point did I say I wanted to cancel my membership. This is important to note because 15 minutes later, I receive another text message that says "so sorry for everything, let me know if you want a refund. Was he apologizing for yelling? His poor customer service? Treatment of a new patron? I guess that what we can assume "everything" falls under. Nonetheless, I didn't respond because his behavior is unpredictable. This person is yelling one minute and apologizing the next. My phone rings from the number and I don't pick up because at this point, I do not know what personality of Jason is on the other end. I decide to drive to the studio regardless, not to take class because I've already decided this isn't a safe community for me, but to speak to management directly to share my experience. My first solution was not to give a bad review online. I was greeted by Abby who was gracious and said she was alone and to return in 25 minutes. I waited in my car. Terrified if this Jason person was inside. Finally I speak to Abby and she was so kind. The key take away was She knew exactly who I was speaking about without saying his name. It was confirmation that Jason has a pattern of hostility. She assured me that he lived in Denver and encouraged to take her class. As I mentioned, Jason made the decision for me to cancel my membership so I was asked to purchase another one. In closing, I appreciate Abby's kindness. Fitness is about mental wellness and to have a hostile employee at a place that should be our safe haven is not healthy. I took the class but couldn't lock in because I was replaying how awful that man was to me. Thank you to management for reading my experience. read more

I have been taking Macy Lawrence classes at Boost for the past year or so and absolutely love everything about her classes and the studio! The studios are great with plenty of reformers that get sanitized after each class. I have taken a few of the awesome instructors classes at Boost, but must say My favorite instructor is Macy. She's fun, energetic and an great instructor for all levels! I have never taken her class and not gotten the shakes during the workout. I always feel so great after like I actually accomplished a great workout that I wouldn't have done if I had went to the gym alone. Of the few Pilates places I've been to, Boost pushes me more and always leave some part of my body sore afterward. I tried a few different activities for cross training while training for the marathon, and found Boost to be my favorite place to stretch and recover, while working on strengthening my core and arms (which I neglect, most of the time). Instructors are friendly and provide helpful feedback to optimize your form, without coming off as intimidating. I love that there aren't separate classes for different levels, but that instructions for personalizing the intensity of your work out are given during class for everybody to work out together. They charge hefty 7 credits/class on ClassPass, but I haven't been able to find anything else I like better. read more

I really appreciate the instructors care to fix any incorrect alignment and the modifications they provide for beginners/advanced practitioners ensuring you'll always get a good "burn". One of the few workouts where you will continue to feel the "burn" a day or two after the workout. Every workout is different but always seems to target the core, glutes, and arms. I have been taking reformer Pilates classes for years, and lately I have been bored with my workouts. To be honest that's mostly my fault because I'm recovering postpartum and my body just isn't able to do what it used to.. which leads me to not feeling great about myself or my workout. I recently decided I needed to give getting my pre-baby bid back another go. So I tried the 2 free classes at Boost, and I was so impressed with Jackie's class! It was challenging, but in a way that made me feel successful. She gave a ton of options for how to make it easier or harder.
