A true hidden gem! The Good Space is a lovely pilates studio tucked away in the corner of an office building. Upon walking in you are welcomed into a warm and inviting ambience. I have been to 3 different classes with different instructors and I can honestly say I've enjoyed each class. I love the variety of the classes and the individual attention given by each instructor. I did a month's of the cardio, pilates, and yoga classes. One of the best things about the studio is that all you need to do is bring yourself. They have towels, water, and mats on hand for you and at no extra cost. While I had no issues with the space or staff. I felt the classes offered weren't a good fit for me and my fitness level. I'm not as intense as the crossfit crowd but do prefer a blend of strength training and cardio. The Cardio classes are dance based so be prepared to look a little awkward while as you learn the routines. Also many of the yoga classes offered are at a beginner's level and can be very basic. Overall I feel the Good Space is a great place to start becoming more active. However if you are already active it may not be the best fit for your needs. read more

I love this place!! I have a plethora of barre/yoga/pilates places within a mile or two of my house, but I drive this way toward the Galleria for the Cardio Barre Booty Barre classes through ClassPass and I am truly addicted. I haven't been to any of the other classes here, because I love this one so much. When I'm not working, I try to make it on Saturday mornings; Mailyn and Ashley are my go-to instructors. I love this because I don't always break a sweat in these types of classes, but definitely do here. I really like the fusion between yoga, barre, and pilates, because it's not one-dimensional and gives you an excellent, enjoyable workout; I always feel accomplished, relaxed, and super sore afterward. Despite the unexpected location of the studio in what appears to be a commercial office building, it's cozy and spacious inside, with all of the equipment that you need. I've noticed some Groupon specials which I definitely would take advantage of if I were able to make it over after work more than once a week or so - though maybe in the future when my schedule opens up. After searching for the perfect place to try Reformer Pilates, I stumbled across The Good Space. And OMG!! I absolutely love this place...found it on Groupon, where I got an awesome $30 for four group Begginer Reformer classes deal. My life has changed for the better since hopping on one of the elite Peak Reformer machines (the best on the market btw) at very cozy The Good Space. I wasn't sure how I was going to continue embracing and getting better at my newfound fitness activity because studios can charge a pretty penny, but The Good Space has all sorts of deals and bargains for new and returning Pilates and yoga patrons. Not to mention my wonderful instructor Laura who, despite the class being 5 deep with newbies, had time to walk around and help me with my form so I got the most out of every move. I was a mat girl before so the fact that The Good Space has yoga AND mat Pilates classes is awesome. I'm hooked on The Good Space and Reformer...my body is about to be Hollywood! read more

I've attended several booty barre classes at this place and I want to say that it's a wonderful workout. When you arrive here u will realize that it's in a building so u will need to park in the parking garage (free). The best way to get to the suite is to walk toward the building. The sidewalk leading to the building is covered ( thank god.... 2/3 times I've gone it rained). There will be a desk to the right side as u enter and u sign in and walk towards the cubby to put your stuff in there like ur shoes, purse, car keys. They do have water, coffee and tea complimentary. The times that I've gone, there were yoga mats, ball and stretch bands provided. No shoes in class unless u want to wear your yoga socks. The booty barre cardio is 50 minutes long with little time to drink moving from one exercise to another. When class is over, I am drenched in sweat. I look forward to coming back here again. They also have good deals here from time to time. read more

What an awesome experience! I had some time to kill after work before dinner and found this little gem of a studio tucked away in a commercial building. I booked a Pilates Mat class with Bailey. She was so nice and made me feel really relaxed, especially since it was my first time at the studio and I'm not an expert by any means in the pilates/yoga realm. Her class is pretty challenging, it's very core focused and she helps a lot with your breathing. I would definitely come back for more classes with Bailey! 2 thumbs way up for The Good Space! read more

Bought a bloomspot special for 5 pilates reformer classes $45, which is a steal for $9 a class. I have been been pleasantly surprised. You have to sign up on line for all classes. Classes appear booked at first, but if you put yourself on the wait-list, you have a big chance that you will get into the class. I have really enjoyed the reformers 2 classes--- they are challenging and difficult. Regular classes are $25 each, with Happy Hour Classes at 4pm on Tues and Thurs for $15. I will contemplate continuing on after my coupon is used, but will definitely recommend to others. They use Peaks Reformers which can take some getting used to (if you have been accustomed to the Balance Body Reformers). read more

Based on the instructor, they get three stars. Based on the facility, they get four stars. At the other location I did pilates, the instructor had no problem coming over to help straighten each person's posture and give individualized critiques to help you get the most out of your exercise. Even though the reformer when you first see it is quite intimidating, my former instructor helped ease any doubts as to my ability to go along with my classmates' more advanced moves. Note: I accidentally signed up for the Level 2 class both times, but let the instructors know ahead of time of my mistake and they said they'd work with me even though I had limited (or no, in the first case) experience with pilates reformers. At this location, the instructor was much more hands off, which made the whole experience a tad less enjoyable. I still got a really good workout; I'm basing that statement on the fact that my obliques still hurt 2.5 days later when I make right turns while driving. That says a lot. Nonetheless, considering how intimidating pilates reformer classes can be and the importance of doing the movements properly to get a good workout and not hurt yourself, this part gets only 3 stars. On the other hand, they have a great set-up. They have personalized cubbies for your purses / shoes / etc. and they serve fresh water from a cooler. Surprisingly, everyone else raved about the instructors so maybe I just didn't mesh well with the instructor I had that day. I will up the star rating if need be after my next trip here. read more

it was my first pilates class, so i wasn't sure what to expect. the studio is located inside an office building. the entrance looks like a yoga studio, but when you walk inside it looks like a s&m torture chamber with a rodeo theme lol. there's all kinds of funky looking equipment with straps and handles. i tried the reformer class, which utilizes equipment that looks like a rowing machine, is called a "carriage", and kind of reminds me of a soloflex (remember those? ha). the carriage has moving parts with adjustable tension so that you can do a number of resistance exercises in all sorts of positions. the instructor's name was laura, and she is really friendly and knowledgeable. i really liked how she would induce visual images to help you with your posture and positioning. for example, at one point she told us to tuck our posteriors in, like a doggie that is sad (how cute). the class was one hour, and we tried a variety of forms. after the class she was showing me around to the other machines. there was one in particular called the "cadillac", and the exercises used on that are acrobatical, which sounds really cool. i definitely wanna try that next time! read more

This review is for the new yoga program. I followed my favorite teachers here after they left another studio. The Good Space is slightly more expensive and farther away from my house, but worth every penny and actually easier to access than I thought because there is ample parking (saving me minutes by no longer circling a lot). Classes are limited to 25 students and the teachers all take the time to get to know each student and offer therapeutic and athletic tips suited to each need. The class times also work out well for my schedule, and since I like all the teachers' approaches I have a lot of choices that excite me. I started the year off worrying that my yoga practice would suffer with all the turnover at my old studio since it was bought out. I'm so glad I hopped over to The Good Space - I am renewed and ready for more invigorating yoga! read more

Showed no interest, nor was I asked what my fitness level was, or even if I had done Pilates before. I love this studios mat classes. The instructors are nice and lead challenging class. I tried the new student special for a month to see if the classes could work with my work schedule. Loved the classes but if you're coming from inside the loop woodway/memorial is too congested to make the 6pm classes. Would be great if they started at 630 and or had Sunday classes. If you're near by or have flexible work hours I would definitely try this studio. Prices are reasonable and mat instructors were great. Didn't try reformers so I can't help you guys there. read more

I tried out the booty barre class, mat pilates and yoga class and liked them all. The instructors and staff are all very nice and caring. This is where I go on my lunch hour at least 3 times a week! Yelp doesn't allow me half stars, but my actual rating would be 3.5 stars if it did. I've gone to this studio 4 times now, 3 for booty barre (which I love!) and once for yoga. Parking at this studio is not bad. I go for the evening classes and always find parking in the garage. They are located in an office building. But the studio does not have their own bathroom. I found that to be the worst part of this studio. You have to change in the public restroom that the rest of the people in the building use. Inside the studio the cubby/bench waiting area is a shared space with the megaformer class. This is awkward because as you wait for your class... You are watching them work out. It just feels weird for us, and probably also for the people working out. Other than that, staff is friendly and I really enjoy booty barre, it's a great work out. Yoga with Lexi was also nice as it is a small class so you receive more personalized attention. read more

I can not say enough positive things about The Good Space! The Pilates reformer classes have hooked me!!! I have learned so much while gaining physical strength and not only that but it is also extremely enjoyable. The instructors are very helpful and always have your best interest in mind. I have already done quite a bit of pilates (both mat and reformer) as well as yoga. I only did reformer classes and this studio was excellent. I tried various classes / teachers and they were all excellent! I highly recommend this studio. I did see some negative reviews about the building environment and would advise anyone to ignore these comments. The space is calm, the people are lovely, the equipment is top notch. This is what you should look for in a studio. The bathroom is outside but clean and available. Plus, if you want to change, go ahead...no one is looking :-) It isn't an issue. I was only in town for a month but it felt like an oasis for me. Can't wait to return to Houston and the Good Space. read more

I've been to a class which was fine. What annoys me about this place is the ridiculously confusing names for their classes. For example, level 1 reformer sounds like it's good for any one. Level one is easy and safe. Apparently not. To take this class, you need 6 difficult to find, intro classes. And then there are 1/2 and 2/3 classes. Is that a fraction a class or good for level one and two? It shouldn't take so much explanation to sin up for something that is suppose to help you relax. I plan to finish out my groupon and then not bother with them again. read more

I had done some Pilates before, both reformer and mat, but the experiences I've had at the Good Space have been so wonderful! I found them through a groupon, for both their studio cardio classes and their reformer classes and both are amazing! I've done piloxing, Will Power and Grace! And Stretch and Movement and really enjoy both Emily and Melody's style of teaching! After my first class with Linda I really didn't want to try anyone else so I can't speak to other instructor's classes. Although the basics are all there each class is a little different so it keeps you from getting bored, and she very much customizes the class to the students in it. And although their prices are a little much for me, I'm always able to find some discount that allows me to keep coming. They even have open house weeks where classes can be purchased at $5, or happy hour reformer classes which are insanely cheap. Such great instruction in a really convenient location, I'm such a fan! read more

I really like the studio space, location, and atmosphere. My favorite instructor is Jasmine-she is very sweet, relaxing, and helpful. Some of the instructors are just ok-one showed up almost twenty minutes late so the class was shortened, which was kind of crappy.
