Boot Barn is a really cool place! I went in to find a pair of boots, and never having been to Boot Barn before, was honestly overwhelmed by the huge selection. The front of the store has the conventional "cowboy" boots and hats, ranging in price from "oh, that seems reasonable" to "WOW! I never realized that these were so expensive!". The back of the store has a huge selection of fashionable work footwear, and the middle of the store has many racks of apparel. Boots are arranged by size (just as shoes in a shoe store are), but the signage was easy for me to overlook. After spending a lot of time generally feeling lost, the only on-duty employee came over and provided a HUGE amount of help. She spent a lot of time bringing me boots of various styles and price ranges, various insoles to try them with, and explained to me that they could stretch three different areas of the boots if a liked pair needed a bit of adjustment. I ultimately selected a really nice pair that carried a high price tag, but this truly seems like a one-time investment, so I didn't mind this. I'm really impressed with Boot Barn, and highly recommend it if you're looking for Western wear or Western work shoes or boots. Don't let the toppled wooden horse in the parking lot dissuade you. read more

Randomly stopped in after passing this store a hundred times, literally, as I am always driving theough the Gorge. I entered with the intent of just checking it out and immediately saw a faux suede duster with a little fringe and beautiful silver cabochon buttons. Tried it on and the fit was perfection. Two shoppers immediately commented saying you must buy it. Of course I did! While carrying my prized coat around, I checked out the rest of the store. As the name implies, they have racks and racks of western style boots in all shades of brown, black and beige. Men's, women's and children sizes. Lots of cowboy hats, too! Plus some accessories like earrings, necklaces, belts - all bobjo and southwestern in style, think faux silver with turquoise and leather. There was a small clothing section with jackets, shirts, boho maxi dresses and jeans. Was very happy with my purchase and fear I'll be stopping in more frequently if my wallet can take it! Went to this store and found what I was looking for, but the worst most unprofessional employee. The girl at the front desk has the worst attitude. She openly talks about customers and doesn't even try to assist you and even rolled her eyes at you at the front desk. the troutdale store has some great items and I found what I was looking for, but the girl working was completely rude and unprofessional. I walked in and she didn't even acknowledge me and when I asked a question about the hats she ignored me. then, there was a girl that came with her dog and they sat there talking for several minutes while I was waiting to check out and when I said "could I get rang up please" the girl with the dog rudely said "we one have one person working" if i didnt need my clothes a hats for my trip this weekend, I would left without purchasing a thing. it was such a turn off and disappointment for such a great store. I guess I'll never know if they have good products at attractive prices because I went there several times and was never able to get anyone to wait on me. They do descend on you as soon as you walk though the door asking, "may I help you". You tell them what you are looking for, they point their finger in the general direction of what you want to buy and after that you are left to die. It totally amazes me that sales people are noticeably MIA even for customers who are clearly there to buy something! And it's not like the place was ever that busy.... I guess the sales people have "more important" things to do..... Went there looking for a really good pair of western boots since my 30-year old clodhoppers are pretty worn out and unrepairable at this point. Wound up getting a really good pair of boots at a VERY good price at Coastal or all places. Amazing selection of boots, good prices, and a ton of brands to choose from clothing wide. However, I couldn't give a 5-star because of Nicole. She was working in the men's clothing area doing some sort of inventory and didn't over any greeting and customer service. My husband is a unique size and she could hear we were struggling finding it and offered no support what so ever. We were in this section for well over 30 minutes and spent over $300 (not that it should mattet) We also watched an interaction between her and a young man asking if he could try something on and she barely looked up from her paper to reply "there unlocked" I hope when we return Nicole has gone through a customer service training. My family and I went here today to buy a pair of boots for my boyfriend, and my young daughter was very excited to buy boots with the money she had been saving. What should have been a really happy exciting experience ended poorly. When walking up to purchase the boots there was a group of teenagers working the front. One of these teens looked at her other three coworkers said no,shook her head and walked off as if helping someone who doesn't visually fit the demographic of a person who typically would buy from a country store was beneath her. The young male coworker proceeded to give a me a rude look and the girl who said she was not helping me and I proceeded to have a stare down. I chose not to speak up in order to preserve the experience for my boyfriend and daughter. Why? Is my only question. I'm putting the money I work hard for into the bucket that pays your paycheck. I'm privy to the cowboy culture.. been around it since I was born. So many things I love about it. It's a part of my soul and my DNA, but the part I can't get on board with are the people who discriminate because someone doesn't fit their narrative. Be better, do better. They have very inconsistent records in the computer. All I want is the same steel toed shoe for my husband each time I go in but it seems the one we go get is always replaced with a new kind and no one can figure out with what. After shopping at this location for the past 10+ years, I can wholeheartedly say, FUCK THIS STORE. The lack of communication between the upper management, the employees and the customers here is beyond piss poor and I will never shop here again. I called today, 11/20/17 & spoke with a man named Jim. The purpose of the call was to obtain information about Boot Barns "lowest price guarantee". I wanted to know who they would price match with and who they wouldn't and before I asked Jim blurted out "As long as it's a real store, like Amazon and not bobs boot world, or something like that we will honor that price, and match it for you here at the store". Fast forward a couple of hours later when I make it to the store and a blonde girl (whos name I didn't catch) said that she would get fired for discounting the boots that I wanted to buy. She called her manager, and the manager refused to talk to me and then the manager told her that the best price they could do on the boots was 30% off of the regular price. I literally drove 45 minutes for the sole purpose of purchasing these boots. I would not have come to the store and expected this price match if an employee had not set that expectation. The employee, as well as the management didn't give a shit and accepted no part of the blame in this miscommunication. I was just trying to buy some boots and somehow I was given the incorrect information by an employee...... How the fuck is that my fault? Yall need to train your employees better and not lie about matching prices. If making money off of overpriced shoes means more than doing the right thing then this store is a total loss and an embarrassment to decent Boot Barns everywhere. read more

severely disappointed with this store right now. we've made all of our boot purchases here, as well as much of our clothing. recently, a pair of my fiancées boots were dropped off to have them stretched so she could wear them at our wedding. after waiting a week, I finally called to ask about them, just to be told that they had been finished that day. my fiance went down to pick them up, just to discover they were in fact, not done. so she left. after another week, I again called and was told they were done. I picked them up today, and as she tried them on, we realized that NOTHING had been done with them. my fiancé is now very upset as she now has to try to find some other footwear to wear. thanks bootbarn. read more

I love the Boot barn. In fact we drive 1.5 hours here to get new boots. They have every boot imaginable. I love wandering the aisles looking at every boot. The selection is amazing. They also have other apparel. Hats, clothes, jewelry, perfume, etc. Its worth the trip to Troutdale if you are looking for new boots or truthfully any western wear at all. read more

I love Boot Barn in general, but this store is okay. It's very clean, neat and organized but the staff seem like they don't give a rats ass about you unless you're willing to drop a couple grand. Even then, maybe they still wouldn't pay you any mind. Not a friendly, attentive or welcoming bunch. Regardless, I didn't go there for that. Women's clothing selection was very limited, so I didn't buy any of that. They had a lot of boots from years and years ago, I was shocked. Very old selection, but there were a couple new ones and I ended up buying a pair. I love the boots I got, so that's all that matters. I just wish there was a different boot barn in town, or that Centerville didn't close. I would much rather buy boots online then drive 45 min for this store. 2 stars for staff and selection but I gave 4 since I found a pair and walked out happy with them. read more

Stopped by here today and had such an awesome experience I just had to write a review right away! Headed to Napa Valley next weekend for a VIP behind the scenes concert for Toby Keith and Joe Nichols. I of course needed some new cowboy boots for such a special occasion. I had looked online and found a couple that I liked and figured I'd try to see if they were in the store. After walking in the front door I was very kindly greeted by a lady named Autumn. She asked what I was looking for and took me over to the section where my size was. I showed her the 2 pictures online of the boots I was looking for. They weren't in the store but she gave me socks to try on similar boots while she looked to see how quickly they could be ordered. She literally spent a good 20-30 minutes trying to help me figure out the best option. In the end, I found a really beautiful pair in the store that I wound up buying. Aside from boots, they had a really great selection of clothes and belts. Wasn't planning on buying more than boots but ended up getting a pair of shorts and a belt as well. Autumn was genuinely interested in why I was shopping and was excited for me for my upcoming concert. She had to go on her lunch but before she did, she told me the other ladies name in case I needed more help and was so kind to tell me to have an awesome time on my trip because it sounded so cool.
