They have always held up The Honorable rule that if you purchase online, you can. Of course, return said items at the store. For convenience, I went to return the unopened unworn untried on items and they said that they would not take them back or do an exchange. So I called the company and they did the exchange right over the phone. No problems. Christmas is coming up and it was a big mistake because I won't be spending any of my Christmas money at that store. Customer service convenience those things go a long way in a world that is full of stress and unneeded annoyances. I truly hope the owner of that store sees this and changes. It'd be nice if you let me know if you changed because until you do I won't be a customer there. read more

My reviews keep disappearing! So I'll give it another try... Located in the Columbia Gorge Outlet Mall, this is not an outlet store with discounted prices, hence the reason for the 4 stars and not 5. It's a regular Torrid store with the same prices and merchandise as all the other locations. Which means the prices are usually higher than what you can find online since the online store is operated separately. Often I go to the physical store to try clothes in, then either pull up the item on the website and ask them to honor the price, or order online. The store carries on trend clothing for sizes 12-32 and that's important for many who wear larger sizes, but can't find fashionable, current styles elsewhere. Not that I personally consider a size 12 to be large! Lots of great swimwear that fits great, is flattering and comes in beautiful prints and unique styles. I bought a tankini top here that is my absolute favorite! So much support especially in the bra area. Those working here are very friendly and helpful. If you need other sizes, they take care of you so that you can stay in the dressing room while they search the racks. I really appreciate that! They will make recommendations if you request it and always serve as an additional critical eye when I am there alone and need an honest opinion or encouragement to wear something outside of my comfort zone. This is a great addition to this shopping area! Just don't expect outlet prices. read more

Honestly, as plus sized clothing stores go, this one is one of the best. Now, don't go in expecting something like The Loft. It's not THAT fashionable, just fashionable for the plus 16 market - (which I think is a complete failure by the clothing industry) I was impressed by their designs, price and quality. When I walked in I saw a well merchandised store. You won't find cheap and you find clothing that your dear 80 year old granny wears with her white tennis shoes. Torrid actually understands (somewhat - better than most) that a large waist doesn't reduce the brains attraction to fashion. It also understands that a large waist does not do well with a 25 inch long shirt or blouse. Their tops are long enough (28" to 29"), to cover what should be left undercover... namely the belly area. So, if I lived in the area, I'd be in Torrid a few times a month, as it is I'll be looking for a store here in the Seattle area and looking online. read more

This should be in an outlet mall. It is not an outlet store. We stopped by this weekend while on a trip. The prices were higher than on the website. There was a sign on a rack that said 40% off. When I got to the register they said the sign was only for jackets on the rack behind the rack with the blouses...so why wasn't it labeled and why was it on another rack? I added things to my cart online and told them sorry, i would just get the 1 thing that was sold out in my size on the site. They then offered me the site prices. The store is huge, the merch is current. Definitely not for an outlet mall. read more

When I saw a Torrid sign go up at the Outlets, I knew I was in trouble! (Or rather, my wallet is in trouble...) I love this clothing chain, and this new location is no exception. The women working there were so friendly and helpful. Jody helped us the most, and she was awesome. Tried on a large pile of clothes and Jody was always available to run and grab a different size when needed. The store overall was clean and well organized, even the clearance section. I foresee myself here a lot in the near future. read more

As a Persomal Stylist I love this shop! Multiple sizes for 12 and up! Very current fashions for all. They have unique current styles, so you can add to your existing wardrobe or create a complete ensemble! The staff is so much fun and extremely helpful. My experience has left me leaving once upon a child a sour experience! The main Issue is that I recommend that they have a box on their electronics sign in where it is a drop off or a quick sale or if we're waiting and in the past I was asked if I would be staying or I would say it's a quick sale! After waiting more than half an hour I was told by the manager that it would take longer and I told her it was a quick sale and I assume that they knew because it was less than 10 items and she clearly stated in a very unkind tone that I need to let them know it was a quick sale and she kept repeating it! She also said that that's how they did it in the past! It would've been helpful if that a checkbox that says are you going to stay or are you going to go but none of this I am right you're wrong attitude by this manager! Besides as I was waiting overheard gossip and also at one point talking about a customer or a coworker! I will only come back if I am treated respectfully and even if I am wrong or they are right they should be professional about just having a better and kind communication and even if they disagree with customers past experience! I have never had a bitter experience in the past it's always been helpful I would only expect that they treat customers and also each other with professionalism and respect in the workplace! read more

First time in today mainly just to look around. I been to the other torrids in the malls and I honestly felt like todays walk in was going to be the same. Boy was I wrong, the moment I walked in Christy immediately greeted me asked if I was looking for anything specific. As usual I say "I'm just browsing" which I was wanted to get an idea of what clothing they had their it wasn't until I asked about the different sizes because I noticed they ranged from "00,0,1.ect" so I wasn't completely familiar with the sizing. Christy was very helpful and answered my questions. Explain to me the "sale/promotion " going on. So I grabbed a pair of pants and tried them on and it wasn't until I realized how comfortable they were and that they actually fit me!!!! I fell in love I ended up purchasing two pairs of jeans. Signed up online through their app. Brenda was wonderful at explaining the app to me, and how they price match items from the TORRID website if it's available in store. Which is great because if I can find it in store instead of ordering it I would rather purchase it there then wait a week to receive my items. Overall my experience there was great I will definitely be going back and making future purchases specially now that I have coupons I can use! Thank you Brenda and thank you Christy. I've been to other Torrids where the employees we're not as welcoming, friendly and helpful as these two girls were which honestly played a roll in my decision to purchase anything from them. read more
