I found Keiji because I saw a woman walking toward me in park city and was struck by her hair style. It fit her perfectly and I wanted my hair to fit me perfectly, as well. I wanted to get a last minute haircut on my birthday and they had a cancellation so I was able to get in last minute. I can't remember my stylists name but it was either Lara and Jara? I'm so sorry haha but she was great, we bonded a lot and had a lot of similar interests. She gave me a lot of tips on my hair, recommended a lot of products (in store and out) but didn't pressure me to buy anything. She did great on my cut, trimmed it just perfectly and adjusted my shape so it wasn't as V shape. All the tips she gave me helped a lot in the past 2 months and my hair has felt a lot healthier. I have been looking for someone that can cut my hair for a very long time. I had very long hair (tailbone length) and have had long hair most my life. I also had very thick hair-not as thick now with normal changes you go through as a woman. So, finding someone that can properly cut hair like mine has proven very difficult. I am so disappointed. I was referred by a long time customer. How unfortunate to have this situation arise. I had extensions done by Becks in October of 2021. I had to go back three separate times because the hair kept falling out. Mainly along the edges of the extensions. We ended up removing them the first week in November of 2021 with the understanding that Becks would get in contact with Carly to set up a time to have the extensions replaced appropriately. In a text message from Becks, she said it was "normal" to have the ends come out loose (about 2-4 inches). I do not do any crazy activities that would pull at my hair. I had had extensions before and this did not happen. I have been waiting for a call back. I have left messages, but alas...no further news. I am left with wefts of hair I can not use. Anywhere I go, I just purchase hair from the new salon. So very sad the placement and the fixes of the extension failed to prove professional placement. read more

They were able to reschedule me in with Keiji to fix it up pretty quickly. She took my terrible regrowth and borderline mullet and gave me fantastic blonde hair and a stylish bob. She was personable and never hesitated to fix my color as it should be. A superb "master hair cutter" in SLC.... So relieved to have had Keji answer the phone when I called to confirm that the salon had a Vidal Sassoon trained hairstylist. The art and skill required to cut hair so that it keeps the style for several weeks in between cuts is rare. Over the years I've learned that those who trained under Vidal, Sassoon really know how to cut hair. Keiji's technique is so precise and fast. It seemed he was cutting air. He said he acquired cutting skills in Japan which is why I didn't recognize all of his techniques. A few months ago, I went to another salon where a hairdresser mistakenly cut my bangs too short and very lopsided so in a panic I called Salon Keiji to see if anyone could fix it. They were able to fit me in and Faye cleaned up my bangs and reshaped them - she rescued me! This salon is by far my favorite! The first time I had my hair cut here the woman did amazing. I have curly, thick hair, down to my butt. She knew exactly how to work with it. This last time I had Faye and she did amazing. Time was limited because I forgot to mention how thick and long my hair was. I don't do hair so I don't always remember that important fact. Faye was willing to work with me and make sure I had my cut and some color taken care of. The salon closed and we weren't done so she stayed after to finish. I didn't feel rushed or stressed either. When she was blow drying my hair the owner came to help with the other side, he even helped straighten it. I've never had two people work on my hair at the same time. The fact that the owner was willing to jump in to assist speaks a lot about him. I was thankful for both of them. My hair color turned out great and I get constant compliments. I've already recommended them to other people. This is definitely my favorite salon in Utah.
