After filling in the appropriate information on the Samsonite repair site, I brought my suitcase to The Corner Cobbler. The people I interacted with were so friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated how attentive they were to making sure that all the necessary information had been received (so I wouldn't have to send more or return to the shop). What I appreciated even more was that I received a notice that evening saying that the suitcase had been repaired and shipped. The next day, it was delivered to my doorstep! Since they have limited hours and the drive was about 45 minutes, I wondered whether it was worth the trip. IT WAS! My favorite purse was perfect except that I had worn the strap where it sits on my shoulder. To me, all that was needed was a piece of leather that was sewn over the damaged part. The leather workers to whom I spoke said it either wasn't possible, not worth rheir effort, and/or unstable (!). 1) It was easy to find; 1 mile east of Glidden and 72. Large sign. 2) She as incredibly friendly and welcoming. She looked at the purse and gave me some options (either do what I had suggested to the leatherworkers or replace the strap altogether. I opted for the patch. One week later, I picked it up and it was perfect (and more comfortable than the original strap). She had also re-inforced the points where the strap was inserted into the body of the purse. I'm delighted with her work and will go back with my shoes.

Now I must spend at least twice as much to get it repaired. The extra labor comes from having to undo what he did.
