Mixed picture here. Clean laundromat. Not a given. When staff are there, they are helpful,…read moreproactive, attentive. Plenty of machines. Lots of front loaders. Three of the ginormous ones, several more a little smaller. Then many regular sized front loading and top loading machines. One problem starts here with the washing machines. The very large ones don't spin well enough. If the attendant is not there to push the machine along a little at the end, you have a very damp finished load -- that requires a fortune to dry. The large dryers were also problematic, finicky. On the top, the one next in from the left does not heat up properly. The controls for multiple machines created problems for all somewhere during their attempts to use them. The other larger dryers on the other side were much easier to use, had no issues that I could see. Laundromat has a bathroom, vending machine, a dispenser for laundry supplies, as well as a small play area for children. There are several tables to fold laundry, chairs and rolling carts with the rack to hang things from. These are all clean and in good shape. The washers/ dryers use a card system. You purchase a plastic card at a vending machine by the desk, then you load it up either with cash or from a credit card. System seems to work satisfactorily. Laundromat opens at 7:00 AM weekdays. That looks to also be the best time to get the large machines. Staff assistance is only available until 11:00 AM.

I flew in from San Francisco to Chicago, and drove to Rockford, IL in the morning to attend a Wedding Rehearsal & Dinner & Wedding (the following day). I bought a dress last minute, the day prior to my flight, and I could only zip up mid scapular region of my back. Despite all my methods to zip this beautiful dress, I could not. I knew I was going to need this dress to be tailored. The only issue was I needed a VERY fast turn around time, as I needed this dress to be ready by 4 PM the same day! I called about 10 minutes after they opened, explained my situation, and was asked to come in. Immediately I was greeting by the friendly faces working there! They took a look at my dress and gave me a solution. The prices & rush fee were EXTREMELY REASONABLE!!! My dress was done within 1 hour of me dropping it off. And I felt like a princess!! They did such an amazing job, and I would not hesitate to fly all the way from California to Rockford, IL to get any of my clothes tailored. That's how amazing the service was. I received so many compliments on my dress (a House of CB dress), and the alterations made only further enhanced the beauty of this dress.
