Don't go to this place!!!!!!They are thieves and they bill for unnecessary procedures and bill for no show because you cancel their appointment when you realize that they recommend procedures not needed. During my visit on October 17, 2024, for a routine cleaning, the office billed my insurance, which covered the entire cost. However, I have recently received a balance bill for $100 that they assess without having submitted it to my insurance. This practice raises concerns about their billing practices and transparency. Additionally, I was informed that I had ten cavities and would require extensive dental work, amounting to over $1,500 out of pocket. Doubting the necessity of these procedures, I sought a second opinion, during which I was informed that I had no cavities at all. I also saw a dentist prior in April 2024 and they also say no cavities. Attached the EOb for both dental practice that saw no issued. This disparity suggests misconduct, as it appears Boot Way Dental is attempting to encourage patients to undergo unnecessary treatments. How can a 24 year old who brushes every day and has been going to dentist since 3 year old need 10 cavities and crowns at the same time. I went to a dentist 4/2024 and another 11/2024 and none of them saw what these fraudsters saw. Then they charged for a missed appointment on April 17, 2025, despite having called to cancel in advance. This charge seems unjust, especially considering the conflicting information regarding my dental needs. I believe Boot Way Dental is engaged in unscrupulous behavior, including billing insurance for services that are not medically necessary. This practice seems particularly concerning as it may prey on vulnerable populations, such as college students. I should have read reviews that had 1 stars. There seems to a pattern of deceptive behavior and suggesting unnecessary service. This place needs to be shut down! Please if you are reading this and they are stating you need work done and you feel something is off. Get a second opinion and they need to be reported for fraud and abuse. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE that started at Bootway Dental, part of a larger group owned by a man named Dr. Jiten/Jay Gohel who will literally never be available to talk. There are multiple HIPAA violations through my experience and a potential board violation. AVOID ALL OF THESE: Media Dental Associates - (610) 565-0525 Bootway Dental - (610) 701-0102 Conshohocken Dental Arts - (610) 828-1640 Great Valley Dental Associates - (610) 947-0393 Glenside Dental Associates - (215) 884-1595 January 8th: I go to Bootway Dental requesting help with periodontal disease. I pay out of pocket ($226.75) to be evaluated and X-rayed and told that deep cleanings will solve my problem. January 28th: I start this program, all out of pocket ($612.56) and I get the first of two deep cleanings. There are mistakes in my notes (I am not on 3 medications, nor do I have life threatening conditions--this is a HIPAA violation). The notes mention that I have periodontal disease. I am given Arestin but am not prescribed any antibiotics nor spoken to by a doctor. The notes say a dentist I never met saw me. February 13th (Bootway): Go back for the other side to be deep cleaned. Pay out of pocket again ($698.91). Notes appear to be mostly copied from the last set, but now there is another doctor I have NEVER met listed on it. Note show that I have low levels of pocketing. I am given some Arestin but not administered antibiotics. April 3rd (Bootway): I come back in for a maintenance cleaning and check, also out of pocket ($309.00). I am told that I have some deeper pockets than I was originally told, and the hygienist says that I may need osseus surgery but I am NOT referred to one and the dentist does not even come out; no dentist is listed on my notes. There is also a discrepancy in the pattern of the notes, with only one short paragraph instead of the standard of three pages so far. I requested the missing pages as of 12/3. July 11th (Bootway): I come back for a maintenance cleaning and check, also out of pocket ($146.26). I am now CONGRATULATED by the team that my teeth are coming along, and we are looking good. I am offered a night guard, and I decline due to cost ($550) and lack of explanation why this is so important. The dentist (Matthew) does come in, but she's dismissive and seemed annoyed to be there, so I figure they just want money. I request laser to both the hygienist and dentist, but I am denied due to the person being out. The file notes I received are FOR ANOTHER PATIENT as I am not malnourished, do not have a piercing and am not missing 8 teeth. This is a HIPAA violation/potential dental board violation (we shall see). I had moved in April and did not want to drive back out to Bootway again, so I decide to try their Media location: https://www.media.dental/ October 15th (Media): I come in for another maintenance cleaning and am again brushed off about the laser. As my cleaning is almost done, the hygienist asks if he can probe (they did not do this) because his experience in my mouth does not match what he saw on the charts from the last probe of my mouth (note that these are all inconsistent). He recalls them and it gets really serious suddenly. I am then accosted by Dr. Tran who tells me both my molars need to be pulled out. As I am full on crying, the Dr. Tran LAUGHS at me then goes away and never comes back. The Office Manager then comes in with a $6k quote to pull both the molars and asks if I want it done today. I am now hysterical at this point. To calm me down, they offer me a free periodontist consultation before then end of the week. There is a discrepancy in the pattern of the notes here again; I requested the missing pages as of 12/3. October 17th (Media): I meet the rudest periodontist ever who tries to explain to me why this is my fault and that the teeth must come out and there is no other option. All he does is lambaste me and tell me I'm basically too dumb to understand why my teeth must be pulled and that that's just all there is. October 27th: After pushing, I am connected to practice manager, Jennifer Maher who promises that I will AT A MINIMUM, be reimbursed everything I have paid for the experience. She states that I will have to sign something in the office, and I say I have my mom visiting, so can I do it next week. I am ghosted until December 3rd, when I ask for the missing files AGAIN to be ignored AGAIN. Before this time, I tried emailing and requested the owner's contact information to just continue being ignored. It took me over 20 days initially to get my files, and some of my files are being withheld despite being asked for. This is ANOTHER HIPPA violation. I have gone here before and had a balance. I'm in nursing school and can't afford to pay it. I came in for an emergency visit and was denied treatment if I cant pay. I had to walk out....this place is absolutely disgusting. It might look cute but that's not important in the long run. I'd rather go to a worn down office that cares at least. From the two visits there it's hard to believe they could stay in business long or not find themselves in legal hot water for gross negligence. First visit I arrived 20 min early for paperwork and insurance documentation. Time of appointment came and went with no word. 40 minutes later after seeing 6 other people come through, I asked if everything was OK and where we stood on time. It seems they forgot me, as shortly thereafter they "found me" again and did a quick check up. It was not very thorough and their equipment was not of the latest caliber. They assured me they were in network and everything was covered. It became an insurance nightmare to get things resolved. Their support staff was apologetic, but not well trained or on the ball. Second visit, I was just hoping the 1st time through was a COVID fluke, so I came in for some simple filling replacement. The wait after scheduled time was 15-20. Not as bad. Dentist numbed my gums and said she'd be back in 5-10 minutes. 27 minutes later, she returned with no explanation. In the interim, I heard her running from stall to stall with others, including the poor lady next to mine. As I sat there that 27 minutes waiting, I was treated to the woman next door being worked on. During the procedure, she began to cry out loudly. At one point she begged them "Please stop, Stop it hurts" she said that more twice and the dentist told her not to worry there was only a little more to do. The woman was on the border of hysterical. The dentist proceeded anyway. The screams went on a bit longer then finally subsided. I could hear the woman still whimpering. Couple minutes after that, the dentist appeared again (27 minutes now) and casually began working on my fillings. She rushed through and forgot to give me a fluoride treatment. The dentist left me with her assistant and went to another patient. Her new dental assistant (who was not well trained, but really trying), stopped me before leaving and handed me a fluoride swab kit and said the dentist forgot, but that I could administer it easily enough myself. She asked that I hide it in my pocket, because if the dentist saw me leaving with it, she would be in big trouble. I asked her if it was always so chaotic there and she said in the week or so she'd been employed "Yes, always". I left as quickly and quietly as possible. Should have known this was a slickey Mickey operation by the vanity pictures of the head dentist on the walls along with their cheap marketing gimmicks and giant schwag bags. They obviously spend more on marketing than training staff. Their BIG promo involved giving them 3 friend's contact info for a chance to win a cheesy and cheap foreign vehicle. It was like a bad day at Ringling Brothers' Circus. I will NEVER return. The rest of my family immediately cancelled their appointments. My wife's first experience was similar to my first one as well, with only minimal professionalism and service. Shortly thereafter I had surgery on my hip scheduled and asked them for a dental clearance, since the only thing wrong which "might" have required attention was a couple crowns, but at 4k out of pocket I thought I'd hold off with them till I found another dentist. After speaking about the need for the clearance with their office manager then the dentist, I was told I needed to come for the crowns before they would properly sign off. I asked if there were any active signs of infection in my mouth, as that's what the clearance was for, and she tried to blackmail me into coming in for the crown work before signing a release. The unprofessional and disgusting behavior on her part was absolutely unacceptable. I said I'd never walk through those doors again after what took place previously and how they were acting now. She also threw in that the adult woman next to me who cried out had Autism and that her cries were nothing to be concerned about. Wow, just wow!?! I don't care who you are or what you have, a patient should never be put through such trauma. If that was actually true (and I'm suspicious); then they also have no clue or sympathy for folks with special needs. Callous, ignorant, and brutal! I immediately checked with my insurance and found Affordable Dental which was awesome!. They had great new equipment, were courtesy, punctual, and one of the best visits with a dentist ever. The wife just visited Affordable and concurs. I normally don't bother with reviews one way or the other, but this was so bad I had to warn my neighbors. Bootway Dental is shady and sub-par at best. Poorly trained staff, miss communication, forgeting to contact a patient in time for treatment, making false promices, POOR treatment, billing error. I've had to file ethics complaints about this dental practice to both the Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs and HIPAA for two different violations. I should have read all these 1 star Yelp reviews before entrusting this office with my dental health. I completed Invisalign treatment with Dr. Gohel years ago but when I recently misplaced my top retainer (which he prescribed that I wear every night for the rest of my life), and I called to have a new one made, he refused. At first he said because I live in San Diego now and obviously can't come in for an exam, he won't order them. There's no reason for this. It's like losing your eye glasses- you just buy new ones, you don't have to have a whole new eye exam. The problem is that only the practitioner who completed Invisalign treatment can order a retainer. As a medical device, I was legally unable to order directly from Invisalign. ONLY Dr. Gohel could help me, and he refused, essentially holding my oral health hostage. I spoke to corporate Invisalign who called Dr. Gohel on my behalf to plead with him to place the order, and he still refused. But his rationale had changed. Now that days and weeks of arguing back and forth on the phone had passed, his new reason to not order the retainer is that my teeth may have shifted over this time, and the retainer may not fit. INCREDIBLE! If indeed they had shifted, it would only because *he* wouldn't order me the retainers required to be worn every night to avoid teeth shifting. He created the teeth shifting problem by not ordering the retrainer, and then wouldn't order the retainer because of the teeth shifting problem. Realizing I was getting nowhere and that time was not on my side in order to avoid my teeth shifting out of alignment so bad I'd need to start $5,000 Invisalign treatment over from scratch, I asked both on the phone and in writing via email to have my dental records and Invisalign records sent to me so that I could petition Invisalign to have my case transferred to a local dentist, who would order my retainer. HIPAA requires medical practitioners to give access to the patient's medical record within 30 days of the request. It's been *41* and still nothing! After 16 days of radio silence I followed up about my records. I was told the doctor had a death in the family and none of the staff could access my files, but he would be back in the office the next day. OK. They should have told me that, but fine. I'm a reasonable person, if there's a death in the family I get it. But the next day, next week, and next month came and went, still no records. I've email this office multiple follow ups. I've even reminded them that per HIPAA, they are legally required to send me the records within 30 days. STILL NOTHING! So Dr. Gohel has refused care, and is depriving me of the medical records so I can get care elsewhere. I've had to go back to Invisalign corporate and get special permission due to extenuating circumstances (ie Bootway Dental's unethical incompetence) to get my records transferred. tl;dr: UNETHICALLY REFUSES PATIENT CARE, ILLEGALLY WITHHOLDS PATIENT RECORDS. The owner of this practice is not a very nice man let alone a decent dentist. He looks down on women as if we do not have an opinion or are less than. The work he does is far from superior and the prices are ridiculous. All the smiles in your face are fake. I had a dentist for 20 years, then he retired and sold his business (clients) to Bootway. With my previous dentist, there was always trust. At Bootway Dental, there is no trust. They are always selling something. Recently, a dentist who I had never met spoke to me in the worst tone. She said that if I didn't fix my tooth right away, it was going to fracture and it will cost me $5000. The tone was bad, angry and I told her I didn't like it. I was pretty upset. She put fear in me. My tooth likely needs to be capped, but the last time they capped a tooth it never felt right. Sometimes I bite and it feels amiss. Anyway, my sixth sense has been telling me for some time that I need to find another dentist. It's too bad because I really like my dental hygienist. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming but that is about the only good thing I can say about this office. This business is gimmicky and will try to charge you for whatever procedure they can. I had more intensive dental work done here in 2 months than I had in my entire life because I was told I "needed it", however I regret not getting a second opinion from another dentist. I received Invisalign treatment here and the receptionist worked out a price with me in private as to not let the head technician know she was undercharging me I assume. Months later I find myself still calling this office to work out transferring my Invisalign treatment ASAP to another provider, and there is no sense of urgency to them now that they already have my money. Do not trust the Google reviews, they have a promotion where they give away a free Quip toothbrush if you give them a 5 star review. One of them watched over my shoulder as I gave them a 5 star review on my first visit and it was extremely uncomfortable and should have been a big enough red flag for me to not come back. read more

Horrible, awful place. My 6yo son had an abnormal tooth erupt, Bootway told me to have him go through a root canal and have a crown put on the tooth. I took him to a pediatric dentist. The tooth was just hypocalcified and needed a filling and has been fine since years later - if the filling fails, they will extract the tooth later and allow his wisdom tooth to take the place. I had a cracked veneer, Bootway suggested I replace with a crown. I was worried about the appearance and they assured me it would not look any different than a veneer - of course I didn't know any better. My tooth is ruined and looks awful in the front of my mouth, forever damaged by them. My worst and last experience, that I didn't even know was happening at the time, was an orthodontic consult they guilted me into doing when my 11yo was there for a cleaning. I did not want a panoramic xray and they said they would attempt to bill her case to insurance and see if they would pay without it. They called to tell me that her spacer was in the office and ready to be put in her mouth - but hadn't even told me insurance approved it. We decided to back out at that point (do you blame me with everything else??) and moved on to another dentist. Fast forward 2 years later, we tried to get my daughter braces and the new ortho said Bootway billed our insurance $2k for orthodontic services. When I called Bootway about this, they literally ignored our emails and calls for weeks if not months. My husband had to go there in person. They finally acknowledged the error and are refunding our insurance company, but I am leaving my employer and so we are not able to ever use that money. And then they said we owe them $400 for the above mentioned botched crown from 2 years prior! This is what you can expect from them if you have a problem. I am sure they will have a defensive rebuttal here to my review, get ready. Because that is what they do. We tried lot of local doctors after moving in the area and finally settled on Exton Dental Arts due to their expertise in various complex procedures and time flexibility. You can find lot of Dentists in the area but if you want your work to be done right I would suggest Exton Dental Arts esp. for your kids. read more

I have 1 word for this office which is VIOLATED. I brought my children in for a simple cleaning and before I knew it they were putting sealants on them which took an additional hour and $150.00 out of pocket. Then I took my son to fill 3 cavities. I was greeted by the receptionist when I arrived with an amount that included my deductible. I paid with a Visa only to get a invoice today for another $79 because they filled his cavities with white instead of what my insurance covered SILVER. When I questioned the office they do not use silver fillings but that was not disclosed at the time of the visit. I personally had my teeth cleaned like I do every 6 months and before I left the dentists told me I needed $2500 worth of work but he would start small with a mouth guard for $650. I asked the receptionist today for the EOB to be faxed over only to get a shady call about more deductible money needed on my son's account. I will not pay this invoice out of principal. If I get the EOB I am sending it to my insurance company and filing a complaint along with the BBB. I have a background in insurance and will not tolerate being taken advantage. read more
