Kacy is big on progression and basically operates under the assumption that you can always go up in weight, which has pushed my strength up (especially hip thrusts and RDLs). It's small group training, which keeps the energy up because everyone's working at the same time. He'll keep you accountable and make sure you finish your sets and there's a decent chance you'll leave with a random nickname you didn't ask for but it does keep things entertaining. In my first month I've already seen measurable changes in strength and body composition, so it's been interesting to see the progress show up pretty quickly. I always seemed to over-strain something and end up injured, so I was pretty hesitant about jumping back into weight training after having a baby. That's when I decided to look for a personal trainer. From day one, I was impressed by Kacy's knowledge and expertise. He has this uncanny ability to gauge exactly how much I can lift just by watching me do a single set--which I'm guessing comes from years of experience, but it's still impressive to see in action. Here's the thing about Kacy that might throw you off at first: he often looks distracted, like he's not paying attention. But don't let that fool you! He's tracking everything--your form, your reps, your timing--and he'll call you out if you're slacking on your sets. It's actually kind of amazing how dialed in he is even when it doesn't look like it. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer who will push you and keep you accountable (even when you think he's not watching), Kacy's your guy. Highly recommend!

    I have been with this studio for over a year. My experience became increasingly uncomfortable over…read moretime due to the owner, Stephanie. One day, I arrived late because of traffic, and Stephanie addressed me in a sharp, confrontational tone. From that point on, Stephanie consistently avoided speaking to me while engaging with other members, which created an unwelcoming atmosphere. Despite this, I continued attending in order to finish the classes I had already paid for. About a month later, Stephanie confronted me in the middle of a workout with all other members present. This was not only uncomfortable but also highly inappropriate. Later that same day, Stephanie texted me saying it would be best if I left the studio and refunded my remaining classes minus a processing fee. When I asked about the processing fee, she never responded. I ended up disputing this fee with my credit card company and it was refunded to me. I'm sharing my experience so others can be aware of how concerns and interactions may be handled by Stephanie. While the workouts themselves were fine, Stephanie's unprofessional behavior and lack of communication are a glaring example of how this business is run. I do not believe I am the first person to have this type of experience based on other reviews.

But this is not a gym; it is a training facility where you work with trainers to tackle your physical goals. Next, this is about my trainer, Kevin Abandy. Kevin has been my trainer for exactly 8 weeks now and he is awesome! I made the decision to get a trainer after my birthday to truly invest in myself. You can invest in your own skills and education, but the return is almost always indirect. But with a trainer, specifically Kevin, I gained 8 lbs of muscle mass and lost 8% body fat (approx. 13-lbs of fat) after 8 weeks of training with him. Also, at the start of my training, I had back pain (from past injury to T12) and knee pains (from under the kneecap). Through Kevin's program and coaching, my pain has been reduced to near 0 with full mobility -- like squatting all the way down and up with 200-lbs of weight on my shoulders with no knee pain. I would give a 1-star review to keep it from getting crowded, but it would be hard for me to not tell others about the good that comes out of this place. My mom is 70 and she's training with Kevin too! And the story is the same for her... knee pains - GONE. Back pains - GONE. I would have never considered myself "overweight" but knew I needed to lose a few pounds. I've tried the traditional membership gyms but always found that I would lose interest or motivation. When I started inquiring about personal trainers, Mia was very prompt at answering. During our consultation I did a body fat scan and was shocked to find out that I was nearly 25%. We talked and I learned that it was less about the weight and more about body composition and fat/muscle percentages. Due to my work schedule we were able to meet twice a week for an hour a session. Mia adds good variety to our workouts and I definitively know that I push myself more during our sessions that I normally would have if I were doing the workouts by myself. She also places an emphasis on nutrition and offers advice on what to eat and what to stay away from. The last couple of years my diet has gotten progressively worse, and she's been a great help in getting me back on track. I've noticed that I've started making much healthier choices in the foods I eat. still have a ways to go but would highly recommend Mia for helping you get you to your goals!

Paradise truly has the best machines, and even when it's busy, you can always get your full workout in because there's such a great variety and volume of quality equipment. That alone sets them apart. The environment is friendly, fun, and upbeat, which makes it a place you actually look forward to going to. What I also love is that there's access to trainers for both beginners and more advanced lifters, so no matter where you're at in your fitness journey, you'll feel comfortable and supported here. The owner, Elsa, is incredibly accommodating and clearly takes pride in her business. It's obvious she invests both time and money into making this gym stand out. The layout is well thought out and flows in a way that just makes sense--you can tell a lot of planning went into it. The gym is very well equipped with all the extras you might need to do any workout. She also has more upcoming renovations planned which shows she's committed to keeping the gym fresh and continually improving. I'm excited to see what Elsa has in store. Overall, Paradise Gym stands above the rest. Highly recommend!

Machines and equipment look cool but then the dirtiness and lack of buttoning up items against the walls and electrical conduit make it seem dirty and unfinished. It's like a person who paints a room with a roller but doesn't edge. And then there are the trainers. Don't try to give somebody friendly advice because you've been lifting for 30yrs because they'll get mad at you for talking to other people that you didn't come with. They want those people to pay them for advice and some of them don't deserve it when you overhear them talking to their clients. I won't talk about the bathrooms. They've already been talked about.
