When asked for the flavor I wanted I told her to surprise me. Typically when I do that I get an unusual flavor or something other than plain vanilla. Who would be surprised by plain vanilla? Next thing I knew the owners ran up and told her to give me vanilla and as they hovered over her she prepared a scoop smaller than any I had ever recieved in previous years. It was almost like a sample. It wasn't really a scoop. Certainly not big enough to fit on a cone. And I didn't like the way the woman owner looked at me when she came to the window. She requested to see the email with the free scoop but instead of scan it when I held it up she took my phone, turned her back to me and was looking down at my phone (with her husband also looking) for what seemed like an eternity.
