I go to this location a good bit, all I ever order is a blizzard with two fillings. Whether I'm inside or the drive thru, example,"I need a small m&m and cookie dough blizzard." Today however there was a new person and another guy who's been there but I never see him actually working. So when I ordered "a small snickers and cookie dough blizzard", I pulled up to the window and was told it was gonna be $11. Something." I know the price for what I usually order is $5.71. The lady at the window went to not the register by the window but one on the counter inside to correct it. The price was then 5.71. However they did not try to remake the order they gave me large since they just poured the two smalls in one cup." I didn't want that big of one and also the fillings weren't mixed. They also told me how I needed to start ordering it. It was disappointing, mainly because they got the order wrong and didn't even try to fix it the right way. I guess that's what you get when you encounter unintelligent people. read more

It is shocking today to be greeted and happily served by employees in a fast food restaurant. I ordered an ice cream cake online and went to pick it up. Every single employee of the restaurant was kind, happy, and friendly. It's sad that that is so out of the norm but this is the best service I have received at any type of restaurant in a very long time. It used to be decent, but not so much anymore. I ordered the 7$ meal deal. The fries were stale and the gravy had no flavor. The bun on the burger was dry and tasted like old dollar tree bread. There was more of it than patty which didn't really add anything to it. I upgraded to a mint oreo blizzard which was okay. There was very little oreo but the mint was definitely there. Overall, it's not worth the 10$ price tag (the blizzard upgrade was 2$). If you like Wendy's, go get the biggie bag and the frosty. It's about the same and Wendy's has ghost pepper sauce (which isn't that hot) to liven up the taste if they forget to salt your fries. read more

The staff was so friendly. I came in looking to purchase a cake for my husband's birthday. I would have preordered, but did not due to the website time requirement. I was greeted promptly. The gentleman even went to the back to see if he had any of the design I wanted. They DID! He offered to write on the cake, but I declined. It takes great no matter what is written on the cake. This is the best experience I have had at at DQ in YEARS! I will be back to try lunch one day soon! I again cannot emphasize enough that you have a great staff! So nice and friendly. The person at the ordering window was really really ugly with absolutely no reason. We tried to order 2 larger ice creams +3 pup cups for the pups we had in the car. She said we had to order one regular item for each pup cup. I said, that's fine I will pay for the third. Said the same thing two or three times. And she wouldn't even let me get the order in before she kept telling me that we couldn't get 3 small ice creams for my dogs which i was willing to pay for. she was just so ugly! read more

Went to get the Father's Day cake as advertised on tv. Manager came on intercom saying something completely different from what the television advertised. When pulled around, I asked if any cakes already had happy Father's Day on them. She stated she running the store and don't have time to go back and put it on there. I'm from Louisiana and our Dairy Queen would NEVER!!! Anyways, I won't go back. Just a plain cake with ice cream which I requested chocolate only but she states the cakes are frozen and sent to them so it's premade and they don't make them. Standard DQ fare, but they don't keep their posted hours. Often stop taking drive through orders at 9:30, a half hour before official closing time. Cars line up at the drive though and wait and wait. If they want to close at 9:30 that's fine, just don't advertise that you're open until 10. read more

Don't be fooled by the modern look of this DQ. This was hands down the single worst DQ experience of my considerable life. Space here does not begin to allow me to elaborate on the horrible experience I was met with here. I'm still shocked that I didn't walk out. I suppose maybe I stuck around because they had my money up front. Does DQ have any customer service training whatsoever? I'm thinking if corporate tried one of these "undercover boss" or "secret shopper" type missions here that this establishment would have their DQ credentials yanked immediately. I understand that it's a monumental struggle to hire quality employees in these times but a better answer would be to shutter this place and try to preserve what little dignity is left of the DQ name. read more

This was the worst and most unprofessional customer service I've ever had . The girl in the window was rude and didn't know what she was doing. I was taken back at her response when I was telling her my order after she cut me off 3 times to say my order was too big . I ordered 2 chicken strip meals and she was upset about it. This is the worst Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I have wrote off my last two visits to them having a bad day but the are consistently out of everything and are rude. I needed to order supper for seven people. I used the online app instead of trying to communicate through the speaker at the drive thru. The app told me to choose get in drive-through lane or walk in. I chose to walk in to get our mobile order. The doors were locked. I got in line for the drive-through and told them I was there to pick up our food. When I got to the window, she tried to give me the wrong order. She had to search for our order. We got home and it STILL wasn't correct. I paid for onion rings x3 and only got 2. We had Dr.Pepper and Diet Cokes. They didn't mark any tops. "Who wants to taste the drinks and hope they don't have Covid?!" When you try to call them it rings three times and then says "voicemail is not set up yet". They would've gotten one star but the lady at the window was very sweet and apologized. She even remade our melted ice cream because apparently someone starter our order by making those and then got sidetracked. We will not be back. read more

Came to this location and when we got to the window to get our food, they asked us to pull forward. Normally this isnt a big deal at all. However after 5-7 mins of waiting for our food, items were missing. We then had to ask for our ice cream again and our burger was wrong. We asked for it to be re-made and they brought us the wrong food a second time. After waiting more we finally got our order. It didn't seem that busy but It was 1pm on a Friday. I have gone to this DQ once a year for the past 5 years only because they make a cake my husband likes for his birthday. Not one of those years has the cake been ready when I have shown up to get it at the time they tell me to come; I always have to wait, and usually the cake wasn't even made, so I have to wait for them to make it. Blizzards are good (like most DQs), but the wait time is horrible if you're trying to grab "fast" food during a busy lunch hour. I've been in the drive thru line for 15 min already with 5 cars in front of me. I've yet to move my car out of park...this line just doesn't move. I've already seen four cars either pull out of the unmoving line or bypass the drive thru altogether instead of waiting on their order. I'm not really sure how burgers, fries, and shakes could take such an eternity to make. Will try the Lakeland location from now on. Update: 25 min and counting. This DQ sucks as far as Blizzards go. I don't know if it's the company in general or this location but from what I remember, Blizzards used to be so cold that you could dip them upside down and the ice cream would stay put. This is the second time I've gone here only to find the "Blizzards" to be more like a cup of milk. I visit this DQ several times a week - lunch hour, late afternoons usually, sometimesweekends. I've ordered the lunch special (great deal with cheeseburger, fries, drink, and small sundae), cheeseburgers, and blizzards. The food has always been excellent. The ice cream is perfect, and, yes, the blizzards are thick and turned upside down by the server to illustrate this point. So the food is really good. But the staff here is even better. I have never been ignored or spoken to in any way other than friendly or polite conversation. Very professional, kind employees. In fact, this DQ is consistently good in every area. Dairy Queen is in serious need of some new management that actually cares about the rather expensive product they put out the door. The last two trips I have made to Dairy Queen, one at this Ridgeland location several weeks ago and the other at the Richland location on 49 south were both horrible. At the Ridgeland DQ I ordered a large chocolate malt. The worst malt I have ever had. Runny with maybe a teaspoon of chocolate and no malt. I threw it out after one sip. Today, several weeks later I stopped at the DQ in Richland. Ordered a large turtle pecan blizzard. This is the honest truth. It had about 5 pecans, and no chocolate just some caramel. AND they charged me 79 cents extra for extra pecans!! Unbelievable. DQ is in general very expensive on their ice cream but worth it if they pay attention to their product and do an excellent job but what most of them have is ill trained employees, poor management and just "don't give a crap" attitudes. I'm done with them. No more. For what I spent on these two horrible items I could have bought 2 gallons of Blue Bell and enjoyed it 10 times. read more

All staff were busy with making orders, they all looked at the people in line but did not acknowledge anyone. Not one person was at the register nor did they say someone would be with us.
