What an awful experience!! I've had two separate occasions that I used Border Limo and both were fiascos. The primary reason that I used them in the first place was because they were offering a Groupon special for $149, which I thought was fair for a trip to and from Boston Logan airport. I'm not a big traveler, so I asked them (the so called experts) to recommend when I should leave for an 8:30 flight and they said 6:00 would give us enough time. The driver was so slow and left two car lengths between us and the car in front, he proceeded to lecture me about safe driving while we're in traffic and going to miss our flight. We missed our flight and had to wait five hours for the next one. Ok, lesson learned leave earlier. Fast forward six months and I'm going to give them another chance to win back the business because they are willing to upgrade me to a limo for spring break with the family at the Groupon rate. Trip down was amazing, nice stretch limo, stopped at DD for coffee and bagels, awesome driver, plenty of time to get to airport. Had an amazing time at Puerto Rico and was coming back expecting to be picked up by a limo. No, they sent some piece of crap scratched up van that smelled like someone died in it. It was dirty and had uncomfortable cloth seats. The driver was nice enough and very apologetic. However, when I called the dispatcher Theresa she wasn't so understanding and said very matter of factly that they don't send limos outbound from Logan. Well, no one ever told me!! When I explained how gross the van was, she didn't seem to care much and when I asked what they were going to do about it, she said that Vicki the office manager would have to make that decision, but she was out of the office for a week and she would have her call me back. Did I ever get a call back? No, I had to call back and reiterate the whole story to Vicki. Vicki is very cold and told me that their cars are services regularly. When I asked what she could do to make this right (i.e., refund 1/2 the money), she said the owner would have to make that decision. I said forget it, I'm done with your company. No wonder they have to use Groupons to get people's business. Don't waste your time; use a quality operation like Grace. read more

I used Border Limousine to go to Logan on one of the 90+ degree days. The driver immediately started complaining that the AC was not working so we drove the 35 miles to the airport with the windows down. He said the car had over 350,000 miles on it, and that the company didn't care about his working conditions or my comfort and that I should call to complain because they won't listen to him. He reiterated this several times including as he dropped me off. In the meantime, he took 2 calls on his cell phone, one from the company wanting to discuss the AC issue. During this call he was driving with his knee, holding the phone with one hand while getting a paper out of his pocket with the other. In between all of this, he espoused his very strong political opinions to me. In an effort to get him off the topic, I told him I held different views, after which he seemed to delight in being increasingly virulent in his statements. Yelp gives this company 4.5 stars and you'll notice that all the negative reviews are relegated to the "we do not recommend" pile which is where I expect this will end up, in the unlikely event it is even posted. read more

We have used this service twice now, the first time they were great. The second time we had an awful experience. Our flight had been delayed out of Miami due to snow in the Northeast. We had called twice before leaving Miami to make sure we had transportation, if not we would have arranged for family to pick us up. We were assured by Tiffany that our flight was being tracked and that we would have transportation home. We landed in Boston at 1245 am with no car in sight. We waited until 2:05, calling 4 times and leaving multiple messages with no return call back. Finally at 2:05 we hopped in a cab from Boston - Nashua, a $137 cab ride, because the airport was now closed and we had waited in the cold long enough. Finally at 2:10 someone returned our call and told us "your driver is there, however we can not get in touch with him." When we left the airport there was not a car in sight. Upon returning home we made multiple phone calls to Border and were told the office manager wasn't in and to try calling back. Finally today we reached the owner. He told us we would only be credited for half our trip of what we paid, and not reimbursed for the taxi ride home. He told us the cab fee was ridiculous and he said we should have called around to find a cheaper fare. However, at 2 am in the morning there are no limousine or transportation services open to bargain with AND we should have never had to arrange transportation home, that is why we booked roundtrip service with Border and called multiple times to make sure our transportation was all set. When we questioned whether or not we would be reimbursed for the taxi ride he told us "no, mistakes happen, people fall asleep." When assuring him we will never use their services again he said "good, and hung up the phone." We will NEVER use their services again, there is a reason they are always on group on, because they can't do business by word of mouth. read more

We were very impressed with their service. Our driver Steve was professional and punctual. The car was a stretch Navigator which was very clean and eye catching. The experience made for wonderful memories for my daughter's sweet 16. I highly recommend their service. Thank you. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH, for sure! Was going to order the groupon, but called first to make sure they had availibility. The groupon read VERBATIM "....up to six passengers in an SUV or van". The man on the phone said he will give me the groupon rate without me purchasing the groupon. PERFECT, or so I thought. THEN he said with 6 people and luggage we would NEED a van and that is an additional $50. Shame on me for not realizing the groupon read OR VAN. I was just happy that a week in advance my family of 6 had a ride. Two days before we left, I was checking all my paperwork, and THEN realized the groupon read "OR VAN". I emailed the company - explaining the situation. NOTHING- I had emailed them prior about a $20 credit card charge which they told me was for late night pick up -and they responded IMMEDIATELY. I AGAIN emailed them while on vacation, AGAIN NOTHING. Am I partially to blame for not completely reading the WHOLE groupon, absolutely. ON THE OTHER HAND, they guy taking the reservation was STILL SNEAKY..KNOWING the groupon included a VAN... ALL IN ALL, SHITTY THING FOR A COMPANY TO DO. Also, the guy who drive us home at 1am, ALMOST GOT IN 3 ACCIDENTS...no LIE, my husband and 2 older daughters were quite nervous with his driving. I was partially asleep. I HARDLY EVER WRITE A BAD REVIEW... BUT this situation ABSOLUTELY needs people to know about our experience! MEH! read more

I used Border Limo in July for pickup from home to Boston Logan. Pick up was timely---driver was gruff. No greeting, not a word until goodbye at airport, but that was fine. It was super early. The problem I had was the return trip from Logan to home. I requested several times a particular time to be picked up and got confirmation but the driver arrived about an hour earlier than I had anticipated. So I had to leave. Ok fine. He texted me to tell me where he would be. Great, helpful. When I got to the car, a very very young driver greeted me, which surprised me. I mean, he was really young. Got in the car and he literally was falling asleep the entire way to my house. I had to cough, make noise, CLAP my hands, and even sharply ask him if he needed to pull over. After cracking open a Monster energy drink, he sort of smirked and asked me if I was nervous. Um, yes??? I don't need to DIE in a rented car service. For that reason I will never recommend or use this company again. read more

I have honestly never dealt with such incompetence and poor service in my life. We purchased a Groupon for a family trip and this was the only bad part of the entire trip. The driver was 30 minutes late for our pick up and well over an hour again for pick up at Logan. The driver finally called us after 30 mins of waiting to let us know he blew a tire; he said he told his office over an hour before but neither the driver or the office thought to call us. I understand that problems can arise especially with vehicles but the lack of effort after the problem was insane. I warn everyone to plan ahead if you decide to take a risky chance on this service. read more

On my trip from Logan Saturday night 11:55pm It was 11 degrees and there was no heat in the car. The driver said it's been like that for a long time, he's complained to his management but they haven't repaired it yet. I froze all the way home and when I called the office to complain the manager DAVID said that was impossible and that the driver must have just not turned on the heat and then proceeded to argue with me about it. I have used this company many many times and have had other issues that I've over looked. for instance, one driver insisted on a bigger tip , once we even had to stop for gas right after he picked me up to go to the airport . If I could rate this a -5 I would!The office was very nice when we called to book a limo for a Bachelorette Party. Our driver, Mike, showed up on time & we went to Jacques to see the Drag Queen Show. After trying to call Mike about 4 times because our bachelorette wanted to get something from the limo, I turn around to see Mike; our limo driver, the person we're paying to make sure we get around safe,is sitting at the bar enjoying a bottle of Budweiser (very unprofessional!). Spoke to him & he gave me a long story about how he knows the bartenders at Jacques since he brings Bachelorette parties there all the time & he was only having 1 drink. Great, but we hired a limo so the Bachelorette Party could have a few drinks & have a fun night out. After we leave the Show we decided to go to Faneuil Hall. I look the front window, only to see that we were driving into oncoming traffic! Mike took a wrong turn, did a 10 point turn & drove over a curb so everyone spilled their drinks on themselves & got us to Faneuil Hall "safely" (I hope whomever's reading this can realize that last comment was sarcasm). We get to Faneuil Hall & I guess Mike was very tired because he wouldn't even get out to open the door for us & the same when we returned to the limo when we were finished. We did get home safe, but I wouldn't recommend Border Limo. read more

"Left at the altar"....Driver left us literally standing in the driveway in Burlington, MA as he realized he had forgotten to pick up Chelmsford group first, leaving 3 out of the six people that were booked and pre paid for to simply decide to get back in the car and drive directly to the airport. The bill was prepaid so they got their $$ for a six people shuttle in and out and the limo driver did NOT report the error to the owner so the owner "Brian" at 603-579 0765 was amazed when I asked for compensation for half of the $216 parking fee at Logan we had to pay. "Brian" has ignored a verbal amd two faxed copies of the parking receipt to his attention so this leaves us no option but small claims court for our share of the prepay. First time we tried them and last. A bad start to a vacation. Driver told 3 he did pick up that he was not given proper pick up directions. The fact that he did NOT have to come back to Burlington for us allowed him to boogie down the highway and at least get 3 people there on time. read more

I wish i could give negative stars. I had arranged in November for a drop off and a pick up at Logan airport the end of December. The drop off went fine, except for having to give the driver directions to Rt. 2. The pick up was another story. I got into Logan, retrieved my bags and went looking for the limo. No limo. Aft er 20 minutes I called and was informed they had no reservat! ion for pick up for. I explained that I had made, I had gotten a confirmation email from "Trish". They told me they fired her because of mistakes. I asked about getting picked up, they said because I didn't have a reservation they couldn't get a car for hours. I did finally get a ride with other family members ho arrived well after me. I've now called and emailed the company about a refund ( I paid in advance) and surprise, no response. So only use these guys if you don't want to get picked or if you want to get ignored read more

Border was on time and was simple to book. We have small children and we used a car seat and booster seat to the airport. We took the booster seat with us on the trip, but not the car seat, which we had pre-arranged to have Border store for us. Our driver to the airport recommended that we call and remind them that they have our car seat for the return trip, which we did. We were told that it was in the computer. When we arrived home that night, no car seat. The driver showed us his paperwork, it said nothing about the car seat. I had to follow up with the company the next day to find the car seat and then they wanted me to go pick it up. It is bad enough that I had to ride home from the airport with my 2 year old on my lap at 2am in the rain, but even worse that there was no apology and instead a request that I fix their mistake. They did finally drop off the car seat to us 2 days after we got back, but that is totally unacceptable. Many people would not have an extra car seat and would have been stuck at home until the seat was returned. Bad customer service. read more

BEWARE! I was very disappointed with Border Limousine's customer service. We bought the Groupon for a 1-way into Logan for 6 people. I called and booked it for 7 people with 1 additional stop. They took my credit card for the extra charges (which they charged the day I booked it, which was a month before the service). Two weeks before the date, I called to say that I wasn't sure my parents were going to be coming with us, as my sister was diagnosed with cancer and they didn't know if they'd be able to leave her. I asked more than once, when do I need to tell you so that I won't get charged extra, and they said "just call the day before." I called the day before and said that it would only be 5 of us now without the extra stop. A month later, when I got my credit card statement I found that they charged us $30 extra ($20 for the extra people and $10 for the extra stop). When I called for an explanation, it took them a week to finally agree to refund me the $10, saying that they are always unaware of changes that are made unless the driver tells them so it is up to the customer to check the charges (what?). When I explained that they told me to call the day before and I did, the office manager came up with every excuse in the book not to refund my $20. Yes they used the bigger van to get us, which was one of her excuses, but I ASKED them when they needed to know how many people so we don't get charged, and I followed their instructions. No one ever said to me, at any time, that we would still have to pay for the larger vehicle. I even asked the driver that morning why we had the larger van and he didn't know. I called the owner, Brian, and discussed it with him and he said he would research it and call me back. That was 3 weeks ago and he now won't take my calls. BAD BAD customer service. To lose a customer over $20 is completely ridiculous. I disputed it through my credit card company and won, but I still think that others need to be aware of their nickle-and-diming schemes. Make sure you check your credit card statement for fraudulent charges. read more
