They stay open late for customers every night but dont brag about it. I've never seen any other bank give back to their communities. Once you're aware of it, you'll notice all of the good things that Bangor Savings is doing to help others. I'm not often impressed by service, it's what I have come to expect, but this bank.....knocked it out of the park! Did I mention that I had instant access to my funds? I asked them to simply reject transactions if I don't have enough and they removed the courtesy fee, which means they're charging me $30 without even paying whatever the bill was. They didn't process my bill for a week until I was a dollar short, then charged me a fee before I could transfer the money from another bank account, which was right after I made a purchase. I monitored them every morning to ensure there was no fee being taken out and that I had enough money for all my bills, yet they still maneuver things so that I end up paying them $90 a month. I would advise avoiding this credit union!
