One company quoted us the next day service, which was impossible since he was at a mountain with no lodging and temps were 22 and dropping. After our third cancellation at 7pm, I received a call from Thumbs up, that they were coming to our rescue. They kept us updated on their arrival time and drove well out of their area to come help us. They were courteous, told us exactly what they were doing, and for everyone's safety, checked our ID's to make sure we were the ones who were supposed to be at this car to be opened. We'll I have one but I know he is not the owner because after continuously calling asking to speak with the real owner this employee crashed out at me and said "good tell the fucking owner, I hope that douche fires me so I dont have to keep dealing with assholes like you" after damaging my brothers car so bad we could not even move it from where he dropped it. I will be taking legal action and a second police report has been filed. This man rummage through my brothers car as well and laughed when asked about it. To my surprise, Mike said he had the same Platinum AGM battery with 3 year warranty in his truck! The price was only a little higher than the local auto retailer AND he "quickly" installed it right then and there! Was well worth it! Will request Mike the next time we require roadside assistance. When we told them the situation, they went out of their way to come and help us sooner. They got to us within 20 minutes and put the spare on in probably 15 minutes or so! My insurance company sent this service after getting stuck along my driveway in snow. The following day he called my wife to give her an estimate after claiming my insurance company was taking too long to approve the charges. What he was asking for is $850 to pull out an SUV, that amount sounds as if an 18 wheeler was involved. In what seemed like an effort to get me to pay out of pocket in a hurry, they told me they wanted to get the vehicle pulled before the next storm. Off course, typical insurance speed, they took forever to approve thw charges, but I was glad in the end they did. I reluctantly gave the wrecker service a go ahead, to which the jumped to ask to process payment before they even gave me an eta. I refused to buy that, and later retracted my ask for help. The charge seemed extraordinarily high, and sure it was! I reached to my insurance one more time, and they finally sent a better deal for me...it didn't take 15 minutes to be pulled out, and for only $100, which insurance paid. In the meantime Mitchell's called asking for permission to send a technician to ge me pulled during my absence. No thank you Mitchel!
