My brake light had come on so I brought my car to Dana's . I was told my car needed 850 $ front brake repair and charged 70 for the estimate after telling the manager I had my brakes done less than 2 months prior and couldn't possibly need front brake pads rotors and calipers as I had replaced all them recently. At that point the manager snapped at me and told me that I was free to take my car elsewhere. I went to Autozone and they tested my car with a scanner and said it was a faulty sensor. I made another appointment with a local car repair shop and was charged 110 $ install of the sensor and was told that my front and rear brakes were fine. So beware of this scammer. read more

So I took my DIL to pick up her car after it had been towed by police while her niece was driving it, My DIL had called the day prior and all they told her was that there was a 24hr hold on the car - NOTHING ELSE- No Price,No Form of Payment NOTHING. We get there after I drove an hour to get her and then over an hour to the Tow Place only to be told it was over $350 dollars and it had to be cash, I was asking the Gentleman that was waiting on us why nobody said anything to her when she called or why it wasn't on there site when another Gentleman who was the phone and ignoring a customer that was standing in front of him decided to butt in saying All Police Tows are Cash Only, Ok Well neither of us had ever had a police tow in either of our lives so how where we the Public suppose to know that, He told me that if I would Shut Up then He would explain, I explained We were Not Talking to Him so MYOB - Well This is My Business I'm the Owner- Well You sir are also an ahole and have no customer service skills. I used to love Dana's Towing for car service having brought multiple vehicles there for the last 9 years. I've referred numerous people to them, as well. Today, I had an appt for 8am for my car to have a routine check and the brakes looked at. I told them I wouldn't be waiting and they'd have the day with it. I get a call at 3:40 pm that it needed rear brake pads and an oil change, which I wasn't surprised about either, but they keep It overnight to work on tomorrow morning. I need my car first thing in the morning for work. I was told when I asked why, when I was there at 7:59am, that the job wasn't done. Apparently, there were "a couple" of other cars that need work. Even when I asked why they were just looking at it now, Rick at the desk could have cared less., and just dismissed me. After I pick up the car tomorrow at 10am (supposedly). I won't be returning because they cannot even communicate if there might be a time delay or admit they screwed up. Went there for an inspection sticker. Because of a previous bad experience elsewhere I checked everything that they would check at an inspection before I brought it to Dana's. They brought it in for the inspection, then came & said I needed 3 new wiper blades that I know, for a fact, were perfectly fine when we went there.The look on my face was of confusion because as I said I checked everything before I brought it there. When they brought me my car, all 3 of my wiper blades were ripped halfway down the blade to the point where all 3 of them were actually flapping.... Really? I was rear ended and they were called to the accident scene they towed the other car back to their shop and I followed them they offered help to temporarily fix my jeep but gave me my other options. I chose to have my car towed to a body shop. They were very knowledgeable with what to do in this situation. THE KINDNESS & care for me as not even a customer but someone who was very stressed and anxious about being rear ended was so great and appreciated. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! This place is complete betrayal of the customer trust! I trusted them to get my vehicle to a location and record accurate information. These people will rip you off! The drive was a simple 13.5 trip and they billed me for 17 miles and a $10 toll fee. They told me they had to get on the high way for traffic reasons. Even if they took the highway it was still only 15 miles for the trip. When I brought this up they had nothing to say. They will lie to you about how far they drove so they can charge you for more money. This is absolutely disgusting to see happen. When I talked to them on the phone I asked "wow you really don't have your customers best interest at heart, do you?". Their response was "Well, no of course not". I don't know how this business possibly has a 4+ rating. The owner, Dana, is one of the rudest people I have ever met. He lied repeatedly about the itemized costs in the bill, lied to my insurance company regarding every small nuance so that the vehicle would need to remain there increasing the daily rate. My car was towed there on a Tuesday and it wasn't until the next Wednesday that the actually released the car. They did so bc they were able to make money from towing it to the autobody shop. Honestly cant believe how bad my experience was with these guys. Ran out of gas one block from this tow company because I had absentmindedly taken an important phone call on a low tank of gas and time got away from me. Called for help getting a little gas so I could make it to the gas station. They charged me $75 to drive a single city block and give me a tiny bit of gas. Whatever no biggie, I was thankful for the help even if it was expensive, I shouldn't have made such a dumb mistake in the first place. I give my card, guy runs it and sends me on my way. I get an angry call the next day while I'm walking into work that my card didn't run, guy literally starts the phone call by accusing me of theft of services, no tact or customer service attitude whatsoever just immediately and aggressively "you're a thief, pay up or else" I have never felt so attacked and confused as a customer before. I had no idea my card didn't go through until he called, tow guy that ran it didn't say anything to me. It was all I could do to convince the owner or whoever called to let ME call THEM back in the am to get it sorted as I was walking into work at that moment and due to my job I cant just be a few minutes late because I have a phone call to deal with. I work at a hospital nights, sleep most of the day, guy calls me at 8am the next morning demanding payment while I'm literally trying to get out of bed. I get a phone call back from my bank WHILE on the phone with Dana's and beg to take it so I can get an answer about my card, Dana says "nope, you pay now" I ask if I can please call back in 30, he refuses (im not even dressed at this point and have not had any time to sort out the card issue, bank phone call went to voicemail). I give him one other card of mine thats my emergency card from an entirely different account that should have had no issues whatsoever and he says his system declined it (plenty of money in that card and absolutely no reason it should have been declined). I told the company I might have to ask my Dad for some help cuz idk whats going on with my cards or why they're not running, Dana wouldn't let me off the phone before giving him my fathers name and number. My Dad was fortunately for me, able to give them a call immediately after, Danas had to rerun his card 3 times to get it to accept... so idk, overall I guess their payment processing system is just plain garbage and instead of realize that and fix it they want to accuse customers of theft of services and bully them on the phone if they're a younger woman. Apparently they were sweet enough to my dad though so take that as you will. Should have just walked to a gas station for gas, learned that lesson I guess. Called Triple A, Dana's towing took the tow never showed until 10 the next day never updated Anyone with an ETA that night. My 17 year old was stranded for almost 3 hours in the middle of nowhere. I asked him to put my car in a certain sport in the yard (10 feet back more towards the garage) and he got all bent out of shape about it. NH DOT suggested we call Dana's Towing when we had a flat tire and no spare in a rental car and stuck on the side of I-95. The tow-truck driver refused to wear a mask and refused to call another driver, who would wear a mask, so we declined his services. We were charged $75! I called the company the next day and spoke with a gentleman who basically told me that COVID-19 doesn't exist in NH and he doesn't require anyone to wear a mask in the shop or as a driver. I asked to get refunded a portion of the $75 and he said he would talk it over with Dana, but never called me back. Do not use this company unless you also don't believe COVID-19 is real. read more

I have been to Dana's several times for different things and what impressed me the first time is that I thought I had a problem and that anyone could have easily taken advantage but pointed out that there was no problem after checking it over and didn't even charge me. Now I bring it there for inspection sticker and they tell me my breaks need adjusting which would come to about 300 dollars which I said fine go ahead and do them. I get a call back saying it could safely go another 10,000 miles. But then they recommend I have them done.I mean how many places would do that? I now trust these professional guys 100%. Had an accident towed here, not my choice. First I'm told when you hear from insurance come and clean out your car and take your plates. So when I get the call I go to get my plates. Then I'm told they need to verify with insurance. So third visit, still no plates. My girl was in a major car crash and these guys think its a joke! I don't have time for multiple trips to this place because they keep changing their story. The starter on my truck died while on the last day of vacation from out of state so I was stranded. That night the truck was towed to Dana's which I already heard was good. As I was in the middle of my work day sitting in traffic, my car suddenly would not go into gear. I assumed something had gone terribly wrong with my transmission. I had to pull off to the side of the road and I called AAA. My call was dispatched to Dana's Towing & Repairs and I was told it would about hour for them to arrive. I then received a phone call from Dana, the owner, saying that he would be arriving shortly. He asked what was going on and I shared what I thought had happened. He immediately said that it sounded like my axle had broke. He would then confirm when he arrived that it was broken. He offered to tow it to his garage and repair it that same afternoon. Within about 2 hours my car was repaired. I was treated fairly and honestly. I am so thankful and grateful for their professionalism and kindness. Had to have my Harley trike towed so I contacted AAA and they sent Dana's Towing, the driver damaged the front fender. I know accidents happen, I got a price from the Harley Dealer to repair the bike and went to Dana with it. His response was the driver will have to pay for it and if he doesn't he will lose his job. After speaking with Dana a few times and getting nowhere I contacted AAA and let them handle it. He told AAA he would send a check For the damages with a tracking number, after two weeks that never happened so AAA contacted him again and I finally got a check a week later. The last time I called on'm, Dana himself met me with my Car for a Tow back to his Shop, picking me up after my Car'd died as I left the SuperMarket...And when I was faced with the logistical nightmare of transporting the Groceries to my Apartment, he actually drove me over there, and handed the Groceries down to me in front of my front door!! Dana came off as a very nice man who seemed to know his stuff about my car and seemed straight forward with his business. This was an absolute misjudgement on my part. Dana is a grimy salesman that will overcharge you for things you don't need and has no problem keeping a fake smile on while doing it. Brought my car in for an oil change and was told I had an oil leak. After looking at it carefully Dana told me I has a cracked oil pan. He thought it would still be under warranty because there were no signs of a dent. It appeared to be a stress fracture. Brought it to the dealer who put the car on the lift and told me the leak was from the filter and drain plug. Went back to Danas and he put on the lift and took a picture of the stress fracture. I showed the picture to the dealer and he agreed the pan was cracked and under warranty. Dana even offered to bring my car to the dealer at no charge. These guys are great. their prices are fair, their work is exceptional. This all happened last week. Today I took my sons car in for rear brakes and they saved my son ov er $200.00 dollars over what the dealer quoted him. They got me in and out real quick. Highly recommend these guys.
