Such a cute (and useful!) little bakery for the guests of Borgata! This place is conveniently located within all the action in the casino, and has a very impressive spread of pastries, desserts, and light fare. I ran down to grab a quick bite before our departure. We opted for a toasted bagel, a coffee, a tea, a mini quiche Lorraine and a chocolate croissant. The coffee was HOT - and I mean that in the best way! The bagel was fine - nothing special - but I wouldn't recommend the quiche. It tasted fresh but a little bland, and the bacon was a bit gamey so I didn't finish it. The chocolate croissant was for sure fresh but I think they pulled it out of the oven too soon because the inside was still a bit soft when I got it. In addition, the workers behind the counter were polite, courtesy, and honestly genuinely pleasant despite the Saturday morning rush. This is a great asset to the casino floor! read more

We gave this place several try and they failed us every time , it's definitely a no return for me. We had the ice cream, and it was not good. Borgata Baking Company is a perfect example of keeping it simple and being consistent. This takeout cafe has excellent coffee. Also, they have impressive pastries. Try the apple danish, quiche or the croissant. The gelato is popular with ice cream lovers. The only thing I've tried and would skip is Italian Hero (pre-made sandwich). I'm not sure if it's just me, but I wasn't a fan of the whoopie pie. I've never had one, but to me it tasted artificial, similar to grocery store quality. It was a little disappointing because I am a huge Oreo fan. HOWEVER, the presentation of the desserts were pretty, especially the macaroons. The Borgata never ceases to amaze me with all the different options it has from with its resort umbrella, which unsurprisingly also includes a bakery chock full of sweets and desserts. Given all the full spectrum of what they have to offer, this is probably the best casino based bakery that I've encountered in AC. For being a tiny blip of a store, they certainly have a pretty impressive selection of treats. I was told to try their macarons awhile back and I've not been disappointed with what I've sampled; it is the real deal. They bake them fresh daily and make for excellent gifts. I also venture the same about their cake pops, truffles, fruit tarts, and cupcakes. I will also say that I'm super impressed with their custom cakes, which is not an easy find on the strip. Typically most casinos will feature pretty generic stuff but I've found really quality versions with creative icing, lettering, and top notch design. This makes a bigger case for doing any kind of celebration at the Borgata. Alas, nothing is perfect. I can't lie: I'm not feeling the gelato. I understand that folks are really jazzed about them, but it's possible I haven't tried enough of the flavors to appreciate it. The good news is that they really stuff it up in the cups to give people a fairly decent amount. It's especially popular during the summer. They also sell sandwiches; big deli style ones that are somewhere in the $9-10 range for each. This isn't back breaking price wise, especially for a casino related biz. I always recommend calling ahead of time for folks who are looking for something specific but otherwise, browsing their display is part of the fun. read more

We used to look forward to the "Sloppy Joe" sandwich which was a fantastic combination of pastrami, corned beef, and brisket plus delicious coleslaw and Russian dressing to top everything off. Great snack to pickup on the way out for the long car ride and the slices (of a larger ~1.5ft sandwich) were seriously massive! Now...after watching the price increase several times from $8.50 to $15 while getting smaller and smaller over the years, the delicious bread they used to use has been changed to what look like connected mini burger buns. Probably the last straw in ruining a Borgata classic and quite possibly one of the best sandwiches in the tri-state area (was even better than Katz Deli in NYC when asked to be warmed up). The overall negative was everything was too rich/sweet - not to mention you had to feel rich to splurge on the expensive delights (it is a casino so overpriced should be expected. The chocolate covered strawberries had an overly hard chocolate shell surrounding a quite delicious strawberry underneath. The brownie had a delightful cake base smothered in a rigid and super rich icing. The rice pudding was above average but on the too sweet side as well. The packaged gummy bears were outstanding. Fantastic and delicious desserts here. The goodies here are fresh and in great variety. I usually get the cake in the jar. They have red velvet and chocolate flavors in a glass jar. Perfect size if you are looking to portion control your dessert choices. We celebrated a birthday and an anniversary the last time we were at Borgata and chose to get cakes from here. It's a great take and go option for quick lunch type bites, healthy, light breakfast options like fresh fruit cups or yogurt parfaits, and is there to satisfy all of your sweet cravings as well.... They make beautiful cakes if you're celebrating a special occasion, challah if you're here for Shabbat, sammies of all kinds, milkshakes including adult ones, impressive chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes with piped icing, cupcakes in a jar, and Borgata, the Italian inspired hotel was the first casino to serve up gelato and I'm going to say it's the best here. We make a stop here every time we visit Borgata for a treat to take home to our girls. While all the sweets are so incredibly beautiful, the French macarons (preferably the glittery ones-raspberry and cake batter) seem to be favored more than the cake pops or chocolate covered Oreos with our crew. They've tried them all. Their gelato comes in a variety of really unique flavors, but still have the old classics such as pistachio and stracciatella. During our last visit hubs ventured out and indulged in the banana butterscotch chip and pink birthday cake cheesecake and he was not disappointed, but favored the banana more. Pieces are pretty fair and you can get two flavors to a regular size for around $5. We have never personally tasted their lunch bites yet but they include sammies, wraps, salads and quiche. The sammies are offered in a wide range of different types, look stuffed and delicious, and are rather inexpensive! It is nice to have an less pricey option at Borgata and a place where you won't have to wait for a table. (There's open bistro seating to the right of the space that's never full.) They always have the neatest seasonal displays of creations made strictly from chocolate. In autumn they had an entire graveyard scene for Halloween and in spring, flowers. Very cool. Worth a peek! The cake pop was a bit mushy in the middle, which was not nice on the texture portion. But the flavor was good. What disappointed us was the strawberry cheesecake- it was not a cheesecake. But the coffee was very good, and it was really quick. The sandwiches are pre made and they heat them up in the microwave. Looking for a sugar rush? Look no further! My cousin and I (mostly I) attacked this place when we walked by and saw all the delicious-looking sweets. I bought one of each macaron displayed (Cotton Candy, Lemon, Tropical Mango, Raspberry, Red Velvet, and Chocolate) and they placed it in a nice 6-piece box. The price was so good I had to buy a second box for later! I finished the first box before we got back to the car. I also bought a Miss Pink Cheesecake Whoopie Pie and Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie. What drew me to come here is that they were selling the cupcakes in a jar that I seen on shark take and looked like they offered a good variety of sweetness.
