Easily my favorite bakery in Atlantic City. The staff is super friendly and all of their baked goods are delicious. Two of my favorites are the elephant ear and the vanilla biscotti. Not super sweet, very light making them both the perfect breakfast snack or dessert. The Apple and strawberry strudels are also a must try.

I'm a couple of weeks off on my review. But yes you can see my routine, we were on a mini vacation in AC, and as always Formica's Bakery is our last stop, until we hit the Atlantic City expressway. It's such a great feeling when I walk in and the owners recognize me, and say your up for a visit again, hope it was a nice one. They recommend some of there new baked items, and I shop away. The owners and I laugh every time, I can never leave them without spending $50-$60 worth of bakery goods. Two large brown bags. Each time we say to one another do you think it's less then $50. And we just laugh. What amazing owners, great personalities, and great bakers. They always make me feel like family when I walk in. They always wish me safe travels. I can't wait until my next trip. Yelp won't even let me post more pictures, since I already posted 50 photos in the past, which stinks because everyone I visit they have more delicious items to show.

Nice bakery with a multitude of options, near the boardwalk. We stopped here on our way out of AC and the treats made our drive home a lot more pleasant. We settled on two chocolate muffins for breakfast (just go with it), some chocolate covered pretzels for an afternoon treat, and a vanilla frosted donut. Everything was yummy and we'd definitely visit again when in town.

Formica is 5 stars all around. Conveniently located across the street from White House subs Formica is an Atlantic City institution. The Italian pastries are wonderful especially the Cannolis which are stuffed fresh, the cream is perfect and the shells are crunchy as they should be. The fresh Italian bread is outstanding. Tomato pies are a top seller as are their chocolates. Nothing to better than a cannoli after a White House sub.

So many visitors to Atlantic City come to this block to visit White House Subs and miss out on the actual best landmark on the block that is Formica Bros Bakery right across the street. The bakery that creates the bread which is the real star of those famous sandwiches. Everything i have ever gotten from this tiny cafe and bakery is outstanding including the bread, pastries and baked goods and chocolate covered delights as well as their cannolis and tomato pie slices. The tomato pie actually deserves its own sentence to acknowledge how great it is; the bread and crust have a great crunch consistency and chew in all the right places and the sauce is exceptionally well balanced no too sweet and not too tart. just right and rivals any u will find in Philly or South Jersey. I also enjoy and the different sweet bread breakfast loaves and muffins. They also have several cakes that i have never tried but based on all my other experiences would no think twice about getting if need for a special occasion. Lastly I must say they make some of the best non chain store coffees, espressos and lattes i have ever had anywhere in the country and are a must pickup whenever i am driving by and need a quick pick me up for the ride home to PA. The staff is extra friendly and quick to help u pick the best item for your needs. And for such a small store it is incredibly comfortable, clean and well laid out to fit a whole lot of food and a few tables looking out onto Arctic Ave. Love these old authentic independent stores and will always be a visitor as long as we both are around.

If you are in Atlantic City and love good fresh baked Italian bread, make sure to stop in here. These folks make the rolls for The White House Sub Shop across the street. The selection of various fresh bread gives you a number of choices from the huge sub rolls to mini dinner rolls. With or without sesame seeds, whole wheat or white and semolina bread. The shop also has a nice selection of Italian cookies and biscotti. Stop in you won't regret it.

I asked Formicas Bakery if they could do a pull-apart cup cake for the bachelorette I was hosting. The party was disco/Mamma Mia inspired and they did an amazing job. Communication was very simple and one of the easiest processes. 5 stars is not enough for how TASTY the cupcakes were. Best I've ever had. Ingredients were so fresh and every bite was better than the last. I could tell they spent a lot of time on the cake, preparing ingredients, etc. 10 stars for sure!

Always fresh & delicious. I've been going here for longer than I care to admit and it has become a mandatory stop every time I'm in AC.

I love that the menu here has quite a few hole ingredients! It was nice to order a coffee sweetened with maple syrup, and whole milk, rather than artificial and sugary, syrups, etc. The coffee was delicious! Not too pricey for the high-quality ingredients either. I would definitely recommend stopping in! There is not a lot of seating, but coming in on a weekday we were able to find a spot quickly, no issue.

Hidden Gem Alert!…read more Just off the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, on New York Avenue between Resorts and Bally's, sits one of those places that reminds you why local coffee shops matter. The coffee is fantastic, the breakfast options hit the spot, and the baristas somehow manage to remember faces, names, and orders while keeping the line moving with a smile. It's the kind of place where locals grab their daily caffeine fix, visitors stumble upon a great find, and complete strangers end up having conversations like old friends. There's always a steady flow of interesting people coming through the door, giving the place a true neighborhood feel that's becoming harder to find these days. Whether you're heading to the beach, walking the Boardwalk, or just looking for a great cup of coffee and good energy, this spot delivers. Good coffee, friendly faces, beach-town vibes, and a genuine sense of community. In a city known for casinos and nightlife, it's nice to find a place where the star attraction is simply great coffee and great people. Do yourself a favor--stop in, say hello, and enjoy a cup. You'll be glad you did. "Come for the coffee, stay for the conversation."

I tried the bear crumble iced latte which was my favorite. The tiramisu latte made for a great drink on a cold day. My boyfriend enjoyed his vanilla cappuccino. The Oreo crepe was the most decadent dessert for breakfast item! It was so yummy and loaded with Nutella and crushed Oreos. Perfect for a sweet tooth! We took out the bananas because I don't usually like chocolate/banana mixed together and they were able to accommodate. I liked that the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was on ciabatta bread (one of my favorite breads) and I liked the addition of the avocado, made it taste more fresh. They also only use turkey or beef bacon. The Kinder bueno croissant was a unique menu item to try! The hazelnut cream was sweet and light and it even came with pieces of a Kinder bar on top. The service was really prompt and attentive. I loved how close it is to Tropicana and the beach. I'll definitely be back here next time i'm in the area.

We had such a great experience on Thursday in the early afternoon. Drinks were quickly made, tasty flavors, loved the decor, staff were friendly. We came today and they were pretty busy but didn't look like anything too overwhelming. However, I ordered a single drink (iced matcha latte) and it literally took them 25 minutes to have it ready! And that was only because I went up at 20 minutes to ask how much longer, which likely made them hurry it up a bit. My friend was behind me in line and they just temporarily stopped taking orders after mine so they could catch up, but that left my friend standing there for over 15 minutes just waiting to be helped. I saw at least 6-8 people leave because the wait was taking too long. The line kept getting longer and they just kept getting slower. Seemed like they were getting slammed with Door Dash orders and those there taking priority. However, if you are as busy on a weekend as this place gets, maybe you should prioritize the customers who are there in-person and take a break from the Door Dash orders. I bet most of the people who left (or stuck out the terrible service) will not be returning which is sad because I've seen how amazing this place can be at non-peak hours. Not only was the service much worse, but the drink I got was as well--the matcha tasted very different than the one I had a few days ago and was way less sweet. I'm sure they missed some things as they rushed to make it. In the future, I wouldn't take the risk on coming back here since you don't know which experience you'll be getting.

Seems the staff here on the day I was being tortured with a lengthy line weren't smart enough to make a separate quick line for those who just wanted to grab a quick coffee over those ordering all kinds of food items that needed to be prepared or heated up.
